They sound the same, it's everything bolted to them that effects the sound. If you have identical turbos, manifolds, exhaust and cams you can't tell the difference.
JLee I agree. I love the 2jz sound.....but tend to like the 1jz sound a little more......but the 1.5jz, well that's a whole different beast altogether.

I think there standard fuel is a higher octane rating than we get at the pump state side

I'm not sure if they are. I know Piggy mentions it's all stock but I think he's talking about the internals. When Monky pans over the engine bay, the injectors are orange in colour. I'm sure they would have been changed. More than likely done the fuel pump too to be at 450bhp.

The successor of the chaser is the mark x 3.5l v6 with 370hp and some with a supercharger with 400hp
Mark X 318hp AT and 321 hp manual transmission. supercharger 360 hp there are such machines but they are very few compared to jzx100 with a 1jz gte engine.
