Nissan R34 v Toyota JZX100: DRAG RACE

JDM fans, we’ve got you with this one!
We’ve got our hands on a Toyota Chaser & a Nissan R34 Skyline, and they’re both going head-to-head in a drag race!
Both these cars have been heavily modified and normally spend most of their time drifting, but Mat and Yianni wanted to see how they compared when they went head-to-head in a straight-line race!
First up we’ve got the Toyota Chaser JZX100. Normally its 2.5-litre inline 6 would produce 276hp and 377Nm, but naturally, it’s been increased, and it now produces 500hp and 678Nm! Power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 5-speed manual, and the total cost of the car including the upgrades is £50,000.
Next up we have the GT-R R34. Normally it would ‘only’ produce 155hp and 186Nm, but this has been dialled way up to now produce 550hp and 746Nm! Just like the Chaser it’s RWD, and the total cost including all upgrades is around £100,000!
The question is, who will handle the manual shifts better - Mat or Yianni? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Well analysed as always. I've seen a lot of newbies enquire as to whether or not it is too late to buy assets especially BTC, ETH, litecoin and maybe XRP...most having the intention to hodl these assets. I would say we should prep for all scenarios as the market has always been unpredictable. So boring that new type of analyses are coming out monthly from all analysts and youtubers. These aren’t the fastest cars they’ve ever raced by far but you can see the excitement that crazy Manual cars can give people judging by their reactions. Much more animated and you can see the adrenaline is much more intense
On a roll these cars would probably walk some cars that you don’t expect.
Adam LZ has a Chaser, and he has said that it pull on his tuned 911 Turbo S on the top end

@@TraxxmaciekBro they had 550 HP and only did 14.3 on 1/4 it shows building your own car and modding vs manufactors its a defferent level bc manufactors are enginered plus with less HP they will be faster. I bet you put these on a dyno you would all freak out how much less it would have.
@@totov7673 definitely it will. First of all go back to school and learn to read. I said His chaser and His turbo s. Nothing mentioned about the cars in the video. And I said top end. A 1/4mile is a launch and low end, nothing to do with top end.
His chaser has a 2jz 3l with 750wheel hp. It definitely can pull on a 700hp crank awd car.
And yes modified cars definitely faster than production cars. Don’t compare drift cars that are built to lose traction in a 1/4mile. A drag built 400hp civic can smoke a “manufacture engineered” 600hp car in a 1/4mile

Or even better do a test run and look at what speed you hit the limiter and shift at that time.. :D

Mat is used to hold the brake and throttle. Let go of the brake before the hands go down and that’s it

Did you not watch the video? He lost 5th gear… as he went to lift his clutch up he didn’t have any 5th gear so when he accelerated it just went straight to the limiter as if it was in neutral. Definitely not a money shift from 4th to 3rd.
@@olibarber2232 for sure sounded like it, and it also appeared on the dash, than he went form 4th to 3rd, i don´t know those gearboxes internally, but maybe he misshifted and damaged the internals by the brute force, and thats why he could not select 5th. for sure went to third, the dash would not say that for nothing, even sounded like that

Former JZX110 Mark II owner. Man I miss that car but I don’t miss looking for parts that aren’t performance related. Fricking rear passenger window regulator was $500 imported from Japan and 4 week wait.
Are they not even common with other Toyota/Lexus models on the same platform of the same era?

@@Beer_Dad1975 the JZX110 Mark 2 isn’t like the JZX100 chaser which is basically a Camry in North America. Interior pieces weren’t shared with any Lexus IS model or Camry model . Interior pieces and parts were completely different.
@@01gtbdaily30 I'm somewhat familiar with them as they are fairly common on New Zealand roads, & I've owned a fair number of JDM Toyotas myself over the years - but didn't realise they were so specialised. Guess it was a different time back then, now days manufacturers steal everything they can from the parts bin to save money.
