Awesome job Ian, Barry Jeff, and Jamie. Perfect running dune buggy.
Keeping it simple. Much easier to fix than modern stuff!

Awesome. Exactly like hanging out in the garage with friends.
Exactly!
Please don’t let what people say influence your creativity 💕!! Your channel is amazing, keep up the great fabrication 👍👍
This brings back memories of my entire engine rebuild I did on my first V-dub. I had 4 days - Parents left me in charge of the house. Lol - game on to have a 4dy rebuild party 🤘🤪😎✌️
The engine sounds healthy!!
Great job jonie ❤
Built many a VW doodle bugs with friends years ago here in upstate Ny. Playing in the desert sands looks like so much fun. If I lived out there I’d definitely build another! Thanks for bringing back great memories.
Look here I love all the work you do and you make it look easy and it's old school and you think of people could do the old school way if you're in the back road somewhere and you need to fix something it's like a survivor thing you know and Ian is like that
(Lots of OLD memories getting shaken up and loostened nicely, again : such a fun setup > EXCELLENT❗️
👊🔥)
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Ian, odd question..we are doing the owner builder thing and have built a workshop and garage for a few old cars we have.. and have metal framed garage doors like yours, Q. We like the timber lining on yours, how did you attack this? Screws into the frame? Cheers Duncan and Tine
Love the old school buggies
Sucker runs great and no smoke and love those tires and wheels. You guys are sure going to have a lot of fun with this dude out there. Your sure doing a great job Jamie.
Nice. I love the front rocket wheels and skinny tires and overall layout of this buggy. Engine sounds good through that big exhaust.
Really enjoying this journey, thanks STAX I&J ‼️👊🔥
Looking like some good fun coming up .
❤ VW Engines ❤! So simple. Thanks for explaining all the tiny tidbits. May have to patent that fuel system...Great scenery on the 'reverse gear" Joanie, you rock. 🍻Brewskis in order after that install. GO FOR A RIDE!!!??? Husky Hugs and Licks for all. 🐺👽🐺.
Very nice 👍👍
You can build that for cheap money compared to the High dollar SxS’s. What a Hoot.
Watched and enjoyed guys !!! Happy Friday
This makes me want another bug. this is one subject I can understand when different terms get used. great video.
Great way to tour the desert!
This was fun, thank you
Ian, I did not know EMPI was still around or are you guys using vintage parts? Jamie, you NEED a Gerber!! A good one! Better than a Swiss Army Knife if you're going anywhere in the desert!! Good stuff, guys!!👍
EMPI is totally still around. Ian did a pod cast at their shop.
Great job on stabbing that engine in. One trick I did years ago on my VW based buggy was to mount and wire in a truck marker light in front of me so if the generator belt broke and the generator stopped I would know the cooling had stopped also and I would not overheat the engine.
Great Content and Video 👍
Thanx for sharing your experience with your new buggy build
Have a Great Day 👍
God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Tons of fun Ian and Joanie be safe I enjoyed the video bunch thanks
That was fun. Thanks for sharing
That engine sounds bitchin! The boys did a great job.
Yeah, the good old days when you could fix anything with a hammer, screwdriver, pliers,
crescent wrench, a matchbook and your sisters nail file!
Damn. I need to get back into my 1965 Manx. Needs an entire new motor, trans, tube chassis (has the VW pan that is the current chassis but I dont want to tear it up), and wiring harness.
i like the end alien in the dune buggy
Much love from Washington state.
Rockin ...
Cool Buggy Ian :)
Great video,
Thanks Straight Ahead ✌😎
Ohio is watching❤😂
Is the grille on that sweet speedster I see in the doorway behind you guys from an Edsel? That thing looks sweet!
Very cool man
That was fun watching this video
I have a motorcycle jack that I use to install my engine and I love that thing.
Love it
she is looking great... sounds soooooo goood!
Vw motors are a really simple engine to learn to work on.thats y there so popular still
Farfegnugens are fun.
KOOL...
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
It's just amazing the things that Ian comes up with I mean this car is out of this world just a basic chassis and engine build something cool out of it when other people just see it as rubbish think is designed this out of this world
Hey kids, shake it loose together!!!!
YESSA
Sweet buggy!
Fun video, thanks!

So dope 🔥🔥🔥🔥
My dad had one almost identical in the 70’s, his cousin had one too, so to go to the river for the day they would put one in the bed of his pickup then flat tow his cousins… the tailgate wouldn’t shut because of the implement tires were too wide, they made them fit by combining two wheels together then run them and the front wheels backwards, they used 3 rib tractor tires and of course split the emergency brake cables for turning brakes… they eventually got Baja bugs and raced them offroad for years after that… i was born in 72 so i was around it since birth, I’ve always been totally hooked on all the culture and gained tons of knowledge over the years, I’m 51 now and I still feel like I’m 13 when I see buggies around, I plan on getting another buggy and at least on more streetcar soon, if i don’t I’m going to get divorced if she doesn’t let me play just a little…. But anyway thank you Ian for doing what you do I’ll eventually have something you need and I’ll trade you for one of your T-shirts someday, I totally respect your influence and character to the world and I definitely think we are brothers from another mother… I’m a lifelong subscriber and I try to spread the word so you can pay for everything,, it’s the least everyone can do for all the hard hours you put in! ✌🏽🍻
