Tazzer me too I bought an A5 SportBack, but four months ago. She arrived the last month and I really love her. She’s more beautiful than the two-doors version and she’s also much more practice! Four words to describe her: sporty, elegant, technological like all the other Audis and so harmonious. Everyone look at her!

We have had the previous generation A5 Sportback in Australia for some time (not just a European release). I do drool over them every time I see one. Certainly a nice design in the flesh. Hoping this new model will continue the trend.

There was a guy in Oklahoma that has a first generation A5, really good looking car. It is a town with a military base so I don't know if he was able to get it in somehow via the military. On a side note, Jeep should really hurry up and get their pickup truck Wrangler out to the market, first I saw that orange 4 door one the other day, now I saw a white 2 door one yesterday, clearly people seem to want these.
Roman, you are a tall guy (6-2?) did you have enough headroom in the front? Sometimes audis with sunroofs can be a tight fit for tall guys.

I see most reviewers on YT never talk about a car's reliability and maintenance costs. I would argue most normal commuters care more about that than performance, gadgets, etc. Would come to make sense for reviewers to talk more about reliability?

DCTs, much like torque converter automatics, don't have to release boost on gear shift, meaning acceleration is greatly helped and is much smoother.
With a manual gearbox, every time you depress the clutch and shift gears, you must release the boost you've built and the turbo must spool up once more.

I'm in the same boat as you, i test drove both today. Exterior and interior is Audi all the way, driving dynamics I thought BMW would be better but it's not.
BMW is faster, but I know the Audi 2.0L has a timing chain (When your timing belt breaks and ruins your engine, you'll only want a timing chain as well)

Yes, you're missing something. This is an Audi not a simple American Buick. I personally think the Buick Sportback is very ugly and very General Motors. It's a matter of taste and that's why I ordered my 2018 A5 Sportback which is coming at the end of August.

It's not the same. We have a 2017 A4 and I ordered a 2018 A5 Sportback and I can tell you they are not the same. I've driven both and seen the differences.

This car is the VW Arteon. The VW looks much better. I pray they bring that to the U.S. in 2018. I love it.. hatchbacks and wagons are coming back.

So you have a larger trunk dude. SUV like trunk with easy access for large items. A4 trunk is tiny and hard to get golf clubs, skis..basically rich guy toys in and out. You can put a bicycle inside the a5 sport back. INSIDE. That's awesome.

A sport sedan with a hatchback. Tesla was doing that first with the extremely popular and rated so highly on consumer reports that they literally had to reformulate their scoring system. Not a bad thing to copy if your audi.

I think this A5 goes after the BMW 4-series Gran Coupe.
The first version of this audi came in 2009, the 4 series GC was actually made to compete against that one and not the opposite.
Drive it..it's incredibly fast and powerful. They have S and RS versions. The interior and tech are light-years ahead of Kia.
