The great thing about this concept is that there's no guaranteed way to finish 7th. Even if you finish 7th every time, other players, or the cpu, can knock you out of 7th if the points line up correctly.

Mario kart you have to win but there’s challengers at the start of each round to prevent you from winning. Example: drunk goggles, blind fold, upside down, you have to wait until a player (person or computer) finishes a lap, etc etc.
