      Surf X Pro. Big fan of x-ply. Got two Goya wave sails and really liking them. Construction is top class. Glad they are supporting the channel too!

      The Max I guess. My spot doesn't offer many high-quality waves so I mainly rely on wind power. I also don't do any fancy tricks. So I prefer a sail with a large range and high stability. I think all these options is a bit too much. 2 types (down the line and on-shore) and 2 colors should be enough. I expect all these options add cost as well.

    It's always good to receive information about new sails, the shape and size of the same and the increase of use during the various Windsurfing actions.

    Just had my first session on the new One 12 85L. Powered '23 Goya Guru 4.5. The board feels light, crisp and responsive but also planted, smooth and fast. Autopilot jibing. Can't wait to try with the new sails!

    17000 views in 5 days. That's as much and even more than some of the videos posted here 6 months ago. Fins, maybe there is a greater interest in them than what we think.

    I don't understand what it means when a sail 'has a lot of backhand pressure'. I mean, any sail will give backhand pressure when you move the harness lines to the front. So what does it mean? That the pressure point moves back when the gust hits? Surely that is a bad thing that nobody wants?! You want a sail to be stable, right? So what does it mean?

    • @nigelsmith186

      Lower aspect?? Longer boom for the metres means centre of power further from the mast.

    • @robertallison1580
      @robertallison1580 Před měsícem +1

      I think it means the sail will power up more strongly when you increase the angle of attack by sheeting in - of course all sails do this, but perhaps the effect is more pronounced in the Banzai. Thus sheeting in / sheeting out will give a wider power range, which I quite like, as gusts etc can be more easily modulated by twitching the sail. Other sails may feel more locked in, with a less responsive power return.

    I checked my screw. It weights 12g. How do you save 30g then? I don't like this kind of bollocks. Also the power box fin is not a new invention. There was one before. The other solution is to put the screw hole between your inserts. That is how my custom solved it. But yeah, the normal fin in power box is to far in the back

    Thanks a lot for the video, really interesting. But, I feel naming every wave sails with the same Banzai name is a little bit confusing. One name for one kind of sail is really more clear for the customer. Just my point of view for sure and I'm not writing that only to make critics since I really like Goya/Quatro gear.
