HOW TO MAKE Bourbon Candied Pecans!

  • Bourbon Candied Pecans are so easy to make it's wild!
    Recipe
    1/2 Cup Sugar
    1/8 Cup Brown Sugar
    1/2 Tablespoon Cinnamon
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    Dash of Nutmeg and Cloves
    1 Egg White
    1 Tablespoon Bourbon
    1/2 Tablespoon Honey
    1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
    1/2 Pound Pecan halves
    Preheat Oven to 250 Degrees, line baking sheet with foil.
    Combine sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon nutmeg cloves and salt in a bowl
    Stir and Set Aside
    In a large bowl, combine egg white, whiskey, vanilla, and honey.
    Whisk together until frothy.
    Add the pecans and stir to coat.
    Remove pecans with a slotted spoon and add them to the sugar mixture avoiding extra liquid. Mix.
    Pour pecans onto the baking sheet.
    Cook 1 hour 15 minutes stirring every 20 minutes.
    Allow to cool (but totally eat a few while they're hot!)

    Damn those look tasty Bill. Wife made some sans bourbon for thanksgiving and I bet these would give ‘em just a little more kick ass flavor

    do we really need egg wash if we have a nut roaster? Does it last longer?
