The Brain Odyssey - An interactive science exhibit developed by Ideum and Intervoke

The Brain Odyssey is a “fantastic voyage”-like exploration of the human brain, the most complex
structure known to science.

The experience starts outside the brain with an overview of its lobes and
fissures and then dives ever deeper into the brain’s internal structures. At the final level, viewers
explore the microscopic world of synapses and neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers that
transmit signals between neurons.
Intervoke’s 3D artists worked with expert neurologists to design an anatomically accurate 3D brain
complete with animations at each level. Ideum’s developers and hardware engineers designed multiple
ways for visitors to interact with this unique exhibit. The Brain Odyssey can be purchased with a
custom kiosk and joystick controller, or it can operate with a standard 4K UHD touch monitor or touch
table. A touchless option is also available utilizing Ideum’s innovative Touchless Pedestal controller.
