So happy to see billy smiling again as well as Tommy walking.. and love the way billy was trying to get in the old mans head lol.. one tuff family. Old man’s quoting joe Diffie lol
When Tommy walked in to talk with thing one it was like they understood each other LMAO they're both thing ones it was like that moment the two brothers met in the movie Step Brother
I love the family rivalry its whats keeps the family going ALWAYS talking shit too keep things funn
Ffs lol
What??? Is English ur second language?
@@Indy3pct.r thing one....its what old man garage calls the kid behind the counter...its like when him and tommy where talking it was the conversations of the thing ones....now is that better or do i need crayons?
@@anything_under_the_sun91 yeah let’s try the crayons
That’s s going to be a badass ride once you’re done! It’s already come a long way from the day you bought it.
Do you know what that is
love your vid
Love your channel Brew2l!!!! I’m a huge fan of yours! I didn’t know you watched SRC too!! Lol. Another favorite channel! I love that he keeps dragging Foxbody’s home! 😂
Fancy seeing you here. Guess it Billy has been doing some fox vids only a matter of time. Lol love your channel as well.
Brew2l !!!!🤘🤘🤘
Man it's really good to see you and Tommy laughing while the smoke was rolling in. 😅
34:32 That Laugh and smile as Billy was saying to himself:
Dad you're through!!😝😝
This was a great video. My favorite part was the last 5 minutes when The Old Man showed up 😂. Sooo funny!
You guys just keep getting better with the videos. Thanks once again for the great entertainment.
Can't wait to see the Old Man and Billy race...I know it's coming, there was alot of trash talking going on lol
It's good to see you up and around Tommy. Billy that's a big improvement putting the 5 speed in its definitely more fun and once you get it lined out it should run good. God bless and as always be safe 👍
Nice!! I love the TKX, thats whats in my coupe. Fix all your little oil leaks and call out the barrel. I can't wait til you two line them up. Love it Billy.
I wish I could make it to the 5sp race you mention in the video.
Nice to see the banter back with smiles on your faces. Let the shenanigans begin
Billy, if it runs a PCV valve at the rear of the lower intake manifold, check to see if it seals under pressure. The plenum should feed directly to the valve and if it's not a positive sealing type you'll get boost pressure in the crankcase. It's very likely that's why you're seeing smoke after a hard pull. Oil is being pushed out....
Boost 101. I'm sure he knows this. I think it would be obvious if it did. That would be 15ish psi in the crankcase and a huge boost leak. God bless 👍🏻
@@danieljames5875 what year was your mustang? Twin or single turbo?
@@danieljames5875 I was making 18lbs in my 95 Saleen with a single TTI 60-1 kit with a non sealing PCV valve. I made 18lbs after the pcv valve change, but less oil on the ground. This was 20 years ago. Maybe times have changed.
@@arturozarate1752 No mustang just LS with 76/75 T4 on a home built kit. Mine just blew of the break booster first rip lol. I knew better but overlooked it in the excitement of my first build. Some people dont learn till they're in a burnout or break boosting and the brake peddle starts kicking back at ya lol. I cant beleave I didnt notice a difference in the breaks. Lots of people just blow them off and don't know and have a vacuum leak, especially if you install manual breaks and blow the shity plug you temporarily stick in it. God bless bud.
That test drive was starting look like a cheech and Chong movie 😂😂
I love your home town auto parts store, they have great customer service and always come through with a smile 😁. Great video!! ps/ also loved the surprise cameo by Mr. JEGS, he's so cool!
Always a great day when a car gets a manual trans swap! Looking forward to seeing how this thing turns out.
#SaveTheManuals
Now that your dad has his own car to work on it seems life is alot better , love your channel bro, your a true inspiration
Sometimes a little space brings people closer
Bill senior so damn happy to have another mustang around the shop... Can't wait to see you put a blown coyote motor in that.
It wont stay around long enough for a swap lol
Great content. As usual Tommy’s music choices, editing and camera work are on point.
The interactions with your dad kill me 😂😂😂
I had a 76 Cobra and I LOVED IT. But it ate starters for lunch and I had to lift the motor to change it. Got tired of that so I got rid of it. I am so jealous. Loved the smiles you guys had. Be safe.
Billy's face at the end was priceless nice edit as always
Had me 🤣🤣🤣
Hey tommy glad to see your walking! I had a bad dirt bike accident, snapping my tib and fib out the side of my leg, I was stuck in bed for 4 months and i still can barley walk going on 6 months.
Love it when your dad is in your videos we get to see the funny guy come out hes awesome I watch all your family's videos you guys have the best videos thanks for the laughs and hope Tommy's knee heals up quickly for him from New Hampshire
It definitely needs some TLC, great video keep up the good work!!! Great to see Tommy up moving around. It can only get better from here!!!
Looks like the hood stop bumpers need to be adjusted on it. Love watching you guys, manual is the way to go, I wish you could still get them in the new cars. Good job, I wish y'all the best and I hope to see more great videos
Shout out to Tommy for the editing and especially that blues guitar during the mid part of the video. It's very much appropriate SRC music.
Glad to see Tommy doing better!!!! I got full confidence that once you sort out that Mustang…..Craka Barrel going to be eating at Gaplebee’s often!
Eating hefty servings of gapplesauce at gapplebees
Yep , just watching Billy work his magic on this Stang! Let him tune ad adjust to his way of thinking and straighten a few things out and it will be fun as all hell to see him race the Malibu again! Spring is coming!!!
Working the beater with a heater...
Lol...
It's what we did...every day. After school
Fox body mustangs are the best street /race car, that’s why when you go to every race it’s about 5 till one ☝️
Keep up the great work Billy 💪
That's because the dumb ass at GM. went to almost all front weel drive pos. Cars. And the 3 gen Camaros are to big and heavy. I love my monza.
Loved you having a Ford sitting in your dads shop with him there. Totally made my day.
With all the smoke rolling out of that thing, it looks like a cheech and Chong movie
Cool beans. Double check the free play of clutch pedal. Sounds like it's not engaging properly like its engaging at end of pedal. Should have some pedal and clutch free play. But definitely acting totally different. After seeing how all of those precious parts were installed and maintained. Wouldnt be surprised if trail link or ball joint or something pop out on you. Thanks for taking us along. A set of Southside machine lift bars out back would do wonders for it. IF.... you can find some. Not sure if company still exists. They were located in Smithville. Back in the day SSM and trick flow were ford specific parts only. Then they included the GM stuff. Those were the days. I had an 81 Mustang Cobra. Had a Boss 302 block. Venolia rods and pistons. The rods were 340 dodge that were notched and knurled. For higher rpms. Weiand tunnel ram with 2 660 center squirters. Built c4 and b&m super hole shot converter. I had a set of 289k heads that were shaved .045 ported and 3 angle valve job. Roger Decker from Canton Automotive Machine Did all the machining and the build of engine. Way back in 90-91. Oh, It had a special ground Yates racing cam. Thanks to Bob Lachmiere Fron the Restoration Station. He was a Goldmine of precious Ford parts. Then I wanted a gear drive so I installed a Pete Jackson. And dumbass me somehow got drive in wrong position. and when i started. It crushed all my valves. Bob had a set of Winston cup heads from Yates, and 5k to purchase. So I went to summit and bought some trickflows. They may have been twist wedge. Don't remember. But they were like 1800 assembled. 12½ to 1 compression. 110 sunoco cost me back then like 250 a drum. It had a 10g fuel cell. I'd be lucky to get 50 miles a tank, cruising. So it cost me a dollar a mile to drive. If I ripped into it. You could watch the fuel gage go down. I beat on her Daily but kept it well maintained. But idling the engine and not getting above 5500 to clean plugs would cause detonation. And we know what that will do to it. It was the fastest ford in Massillon at the time. It never had its ass drug. Up until the day I parted with. In 1996. 5 yrs on a high comp. Motor only changing plugs and oil. And never had one issue with. But that says alot about the builder and the wisdom he had. I had almost 10k in labor back then and over 7500 in parts. Only problem I ever had with the car was, it had very lil brake pressure bcuz the cam and intake robbed all the vacuum the motor could make. Had to put a boost bottle to help with issue. But had many warped rotors from the heat. Engine made 618 hp at 7200. I still have the dyno sheet and cam card and all the paperwork from the build. I miss that Engine dearly. But when we're young we're not to smart. I was 22 when I had her built. Watching your vids, Brings out great memories of my younger days. Now I'm into big cubic in Harley based S&S super stock strokers. That's what gets my adrenaline rushing I'll email or fb you some pics of both with my next order. Cya and only the Best of Luck for the Family.
It is good to see Tommy up and about. Learning how to be a couch potato is a drag when you are used to being up and about.
Love the banter between you guys and the old man.
The two brothers out for a spin, laughing,, for a bit reminded me of some "Two Lane Blacktop" footage, James and Dennis cruiz'n the highways and byways in their bad to tha bone Tri Five. Loved that footage Tommy 'n Billy :)
Oh my I love that thing! The one I owned 6 years ago before my daughter was born looked just like this mustang. Without the turbos! I just put leather seats from a thunderbird in mine, loved that thing!!
Absolutely love how you guys made this video look old-school classic nothing like you and the whole family garage at the end absolutely amazing guys. Keep up the hard fucking work you’re killing it.👏🏻👏🏻
Good to see you boys and your Dad poking each other and smiling and laughing !!!!!
Your accomplishing incredible things with this channel and the race team, just remember to take in as much of the fun stuff as you can while your rising up. The fun part is the trip to the top, not the top itself.👏👏👏
One of the best channels on CZcams. Cant wait every week these videos come out
12:45am! Middle of a snow storm, 3ft of snow front door. Best time to watch new upload and old videos!
Gotta keep the stick car. No giveaway. You got a back of the track truck, front half car and a stick shift car. You could run 3 different race styles on any given night.
You can have a wastegate with a boost controller hooked only to the bottom port. That does work. Your spring pressure is your base boost pressure. By adding a boost controller to the bottom port you are limiting the signal to the bottom port that helps force the valve off the seat. You can also run a boost controller with both ports as you know. Using the bottom port you are not letting the wastegate see full boost reference. Using the top you are adding boost helping keep the valve shut longer. Just different ways of setting the boost controller up...
It's nice to see that you're back Tommy that ACL surgery sucks I've had seven right knee surgeries and believe me I've been through a lot of bulshit and pain take care of that leg dude
Mark and his crew are good people!!!
That little stang looks really good. You might end up keeping it just because it's a fun street car and yes it looks sick.
Love these videos. 6 minutes in and Billy done called out the Malibu. Ready for the S-10 start up video.
Tommy’s back! Let the awesome videos begin.
The AOD went DOA...hey man 700 hp. ain't nothing too sneeze at! It's getting better!
Billy laughes I laugh , kids got the world by the balls and super happy for him. You can tell those 2 brothers are super tight.
Billy I have the exact same car wheels and everything except mine is a single 70mm on3 turbo with a T-5 I built. Love seeing the Mustang content 👍
I really wish you guys made like 3 videos a week. I so look forward to your videos. Always have me laughing and wanting my own pile o shit. Keep up the good work
Thanks for video it was a Great video just finished watching it can't to see the video of S10 when you get it finished and see how it does with all the new upgrades and new motor and then waiting on Nova to get put back together and Tommy's S10 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
When set your mind to do something Billy, you will get the stang to work great. Looks dont make it faster. Good job. 👍👍
Billy, I don`t know if the stang has enough engine to beat the Malibu, but it definitely will be fun watching you try!! Tommy, great job as always filming and editing!!
The old mans MALABU is in trouble if this stang gets dialed in...Tony has a bit of competition to...good time you should name it Billy, the smiles on you and Tommy's faces saying lots....
Awesome video! I just can’t help but love a Foxbody!!
If you feel like clutch is stiff get a oem cable from a 96-04 ford still makes them and they fit with little modifications. Also get a quadrant with the 3 hooks.
That Iac is most likely in the tune. I can look at it for you if you need. Ford Iac need a different tuning strategy.
Buy two cheap Mac valves and wire them to the Holley so you can control them over time or by gear. Problem with by gear is if you knock the tires off the boost ramps up. You probably know that already I’m sure.
Add your centerlines together and divide by 2 to get the lobe separation.
Billy, on wastegates, you don’t need boost to top of gate. You can just bleed off boost to side port to keep diaphragm from opening at spring pressure and get more boost. Can’t run as much boost as putting some to the top, but it works. That’s how a good ole manual boost controller works.
I've got a ford 427 Tunnel Port side oiler, dual 780 single plane intake that worked fine in my shelby GT500 IMSA car, in front of a Dan Williams top loader, all old school, that could definitely make that fox scoot. Some fords are a blast, I enjoyed mine, now it's in pieces and needs a total rebuild, maybe in my next life. lol
You're having fun, that's what counts. I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work.
You have the right attitude! Keep on keeping on! Set goals!
Seeing y’all go into that carquest makes me miss the one up in GA I used to go to. Always the best people at those stores.
Awesome!! My TKX required spacers about the cross member as I noticed the entire drive line was tilted so badly the fan was hitted the shroud when I started
I had a 351w in my '85. Tore the rear floor pans out of it. Keep an eye on it, unless it's framed. Nice work.
Be sure and check the counter weights of the Flywheel and Harmonic balancer. A Stock 302, stock crank and flywheel uses a 50oz balance and converting to 347/331 you use a 28oz balance, crank, flywheel. If it's an externally balanced motor unless you like to be massaged while you ride!
A manual transmission is the ultimate theft prevention tool available these days. It's amazing how few people can drive a stick shift car. Drove a 64 Mercury Comet with 3 on the tree recently. I felt like I was transported back 50 years.
Check out Sirhc Labs Cortex EBC. One of the best boost controllers out there for racing. 50 psi gauge pressure, boost by gear, speed, RPM, and time. Tons of additional aux options as well. Loving the manual swap!
That damn starter makes me think of Maximum Overdrive
Nice way to go putting in the 5 speed and getting rid of the parasitic hp loss the aod gives but I noticed a few things I would of done differently...
There was an odd blue spray pattern on the AOD flexplate and that spry pattern comes from oil....
On 302 and stroker cranks sometimes the crank holes break into the oiling circuit and regular old Loctite Blue or Red doesnt work....
I found the best way to seal them is Marine grade JB weld and external star washers to hold them in-place but whats odd is I didnt see you even use any type of loctite..... I heard some old timers like to use Indianhead shellac..
When you get a noise that sounds like the engine is knocking or the stickshift is rattling while cruising and the oil leak seems to be getting worse it will be from a loose flywheel and believe me they loosen quick.......
Now the biggest thing I noticed,,,I didnnt see you guys dial-in the bellhousing to the centerline of the crank and adjust if needed using offset dowel pins.....On my Tremec install I had to adjust my bellhousiing uing a Robb Mc offset dowel that was .007" offset to get the crank and bellhousing with-in the recommended .005" tolerance limit...
Tremec has a transmission inclinometer app that checks your trans ,driveshaft and rear pinion angle to make sure the drivelive angles are within specs too.....
This is a must for a smooth trans & the longest trans life also good shifting...
For the first 1500 miles its gonna feel stiff and notchy but if you break it in according to the manual it will powershift perfectly with the shifter practiclly falling into gear at 6200rpms quite easily...
Check the crankcase breather filter it’s located under the pcv grommet at the back of the lower intake manifold if they clog up your going to most definitely going to create oil leaks it’s about the size of a brake cleaner cap. Mark should have one in stock
I live in Gatlinburg Tennessee im glad you're dad came down here and had a little fun. Love the channel guys its awesome im not a ford person either but only mustangs have a little spot in my heart so I dont look at it as a ford to me it is it's own brand mustang u know like dodge and RAM 😂🤣😂 but good work keep the video's coming thanks guys.
Hey guys!-Love this video!-Lotta guys dont realize they dont start out perfect-It takes a LOTTA WORK TO MAKE EM THATAWAY!!---OH HEY---BTW back in the old days a fairly smart feller by the name of Frieburger helped come up w a sparkplug wire boot that didn't melt n hi heat situations like yours!---Jacobs electronics sells HI HEAT CERAMIC plug wire boots,They dont burn!😉- Lil pricey but worth checkin into for your wire fryer there!!-&Keep valve cover&upper plenum gaskets handy-cause w that much heat next to the valve covers its guna use some gaskets!!--Keep the vids comin!!--I wanna see this car gap the 'Bu , now!!!!😎LETS GO!!😁
I bet it's the rear intake gasket if it has blow by it will push out the cork gasket and everytime you get on it it pushes oil out I only use silicone on it those cork gaskets always push Outland I seen the gasket around the pcv valve harden up and leak also and it's right above the rear intake seal also
Uncle Bucko you need the C-clamp press tool. It comes with all different cups to press in & out u-joints , ball joints and lots of different things. No hammer and sockets. Tell Mark to get you one in.
Gunna have to name this one Geronimo. You was definitely sending smoke signals thru the shifter tunnel. Awesome!
Kenny needs to hit those Weld Wheels with that polish he used on the front end!
I cant wait to see what it runs like when its all dialed in !!!
Tommy, it's so much better when you're there to camera and counter-talk your brother. Seriously man!
The oil smoke through shifter was hilarious!
You did a really good job with that mustang and I can't wait to see what else you end up doing to it next. And this is for tommy I am glad that you are up and moving around and you will need to take your time with heavy lifting and stuff like that but finish letting your leg heal up and get back to racing and winning. But on the real you both are doing well for yourselves and I love all that you do and I can't wait to see what else you will have for us the next time so Pizza Brothers be safe take care.
So much potential!! Glad it’s in good hands now
This mustang would be a sweet summer daily that I wouldn't mind cruising. I can't wait to see how it does when you get it sorted out and race it.
I honestly think the back glass and the way it applies the weight to rear is one of the reasons they work so well would be awesome to see you guys build it way u want n keep it in the src family hit squad of cars
🤨
Its a factory style 4 link car . That's why foxes work so well 👏
It could be a very nice car with a little tlc
@@matthewvalentine3549 I know that but they other reasons they work so well like engine placement
@@Harmons1981icloud really just the factory 4 link makes them pretty good starter car to get fast quick
I remember someone doing the TKX and needed a specific crossmember or you could shim the stock 1 i guess to get the exhaust to fit right or the pinion angle or something like that...
It's gonna be awsome to see more stick shift content 💯 And the twin turbo/Dart block/TKX combo should be pretty dam stout
Awesome video. Good to see you guy's again 🤙
I got a kick out of the test ride. Just like when we were lining out my TA. Smoke and laughter, oh and 8 bent push rods😁
You can def hear it’s not running as it should..? Def rich.. I bet that thing really makes some power when u lean it out a bit.. can’t wait to see the new stang go up against Cracker Barrel!! Another nasty mustang build by billy and fam👍👍👍👍👍
Yep, It's been on the Dyno so at least at one time the fuel was correct. It is a little ruff, definitely rich at idle, I saw 12.0. Also if it only has a single line like he mentioned to the top of the gate then its controlled by a leak in that reference line witch means at idle it has a vacuum leak. Also if it is controlled by a vented reference line then that means it has a smaller gate spring then the amount of boots it makes. If he says it can only make 15 pounds or so on the injectors it had it means that the gate Spring has to be less than 15psi. What This means is if it creates more vacuum than the size of the waist gate spring holding the gate shut then the waste gates are opened by the vacuum that the engine creates at idle making the thing sound funny because of exhaust flowing through the waistgate out the WG down pipes. It basically turns the WG into a BOV for the exhaust. The vaccuum leak and the open waistgates could make it sound even more goofy along with whatever else it has going on. God bless.
Billy I’m not a ford guy. But I think you have the makings of a good hot rod with this twin turbo 5spd. If you can shift it fast enough to hold boost. But I’m with you. Let Lucore fix the little things while you concentrate on the S10 and the Nova. Those are your money makers. But I love the idea of hitting a stick shift race or two. But I wouldn’t put a lot of time and energy into this car. Beat it and forget it. Love the smoke coming through the shifter hole. Priceless..
Why do I never get any thumbs up? Am I blocked? You give me a heart. I watch every video and support the channel. But never get one thumbs up. It’s strange. Shadow Banned from CZcams? If I’m blocked please tell me why?
Great video great car the best thing about a fox body mustang the value keeps going up everybody waits one the race car ever built straight out of the factory
The accell extreme plug wires with the ceramic boots work really well , no more burnt wire ends.
Billy says, "I'll own it" to the Half Ass Garage sign, priceless 🤣
hance
The smoke rolling from the shifter hole had me cracking up! Looking forward to more SKETCHY.......
The Muskstang will be badass once the kinks are worked out. I wouldn't want to either, but you'd probably be further ahead just redoing the hot side. Give everything a little more room and lava wrap it all.
Turbo stick!! Love it. Will be a fun challenge for you. Ur the man!
Seeing your family reminds me of my family when they were alive it's awesome thank you bill
Give it some time guys. It’ll have sound.
Hopefully you read my comment on flywheel imbalances between a 292 and a 351 based motor. 302 is 50 Oz. And 351 is 28 Oz. Not sure if that 410 that flywheel came off was an internal balanced motor or 28 external. Just a thought on why it's shaking your teeth out of your head.
@@MikeyNDa513 I told him the same thing!! I just don't know if it's an internally balanced motor or not. Getting on the 2-Step with a 22oz imbalance will come apart in a spectacular fashion!! I dunno if he read's our comments or not but it definitely has an imbalance.
Get that break clean in 55 gal in the long run it pays off great content stay blessed👍🏼
I bet that railroad crossing wasn't fun after the pull at 2:52 lol I love it lol.
Keep it up. Hope you put thread locker on the flywheel bolts!
The lobe separation of that cam is 112*
I have use that cam several times it’s a really good budget cam but the next size up works even better
Add your intake centerline with your exhaust centerline then divide by 2 that’s your LSA
