- In the frame of a G-STIC project and in partnership with Hydrobox and ByNubian, Turbulent has successfully installed 3x37 kW Vortex Turbines in Rural Kenya!
These turbines, running in a micro-grid connecting households, local businesses, and public utilities, will provide a stable load to the local community for decades to come.
100% clean, renewable energy from the previously untapped power of the river.
This project was made possible by G-STIC, Vlaamse Overheid - Departement Omgeving.

Always a breath of fresh air to see these renewables being deployed. Congratulations to turbulent and Kenya. As always I keep wondering how much it will cost to set up this excluding the civil works.
yay finally a multi-turbine cascade
Congratulations Geert Slachmuylders for you and your organisation achievements 👏👍😀
Looks like a no brainer solution. Keen to understand capital investment and your projected payback forecast
Wat gaaf om weer een nieuw project te zien van jullie! Keep up the good work, this has so much potential!
Another milestone for Turbulent Hydro. Greetings from Philippines HYDROCRAFT Ph.

Outstanding!
Freakin awesome! Good job! Elegant solution
Parabéns pelo trabalho.
Looks good, but I would also like to see some initiation to keep the river permeable for ecosystem.
Great!
Sweet!
Soon to be at Bard College, NY!
This is needed in Pakistan
👌 ❤
110 кВт уже никак на микро не тянет. Вполне себе серьёзная малая ГЭС👍
Is this possible to be installed in Papua New Guinea?
@gregorypilau3530 true bro. This is good for PNG. Iam trying to contact them too.
@@saalla4177 Good luck
@saalla4177 Yes bro this a good one for Papua New Guinea environment, and it seems the maintenance part of it is user-friendly too.
@surgemeister182 have you tried contacting them before?
Hi, please contact us via www.turbulent.be/get-started with the details of your project. We will keep your contact in our database for once our systems are ready to be installed in Papua New Guinea.
brilliant make one affordable and smaller one..
Hi, have you thought of wild life? is it possible for the fish to swim upstream near the intake? thanks
How come something that simple is not used in UK?
Is there any way you can tell, how much a turbine costs for a certain water flow, or something in that way?
To contact the company for some information, how could I do that without directly requesting a ,,start my project"?
How to contact you guys! I sit on the board of a charitable foundation with missions in Haiti and Jamaica. We tried everything to reach you guys but no one responded
They don't. I've tried about three years to reach them and until this day never got an answer. Good luck with your projects.
Hi Peter, sorry for the inconvenience. Please refer to www.turbulent.be/get-started. We aim to provide an answer to all customers and let them know whether their specific project is feasible or not.
@@TurbulentHydro thank you
what is the cost of the project please?
Our prices vary depending on the turbine size, site characteristics, and other factors. The best way to get a price quote is getting in touch via www.turbulent.be/get-started.
@@TurbulentHydro so what was the price of this project that you have made public please? Why the secrecy?
how can i buy into the company
Are these products restricted only to gov bodies or NGO's? Do you cater to individual household too? Thank you
No, we can also electrify households and small businesses for example. Our smallest available unit is 15 kW, so it is rather adapted for a few dozen households or a small community.
putting enough infrastructure you may as well just make a regular dam at this point, this can't be recreated on a smaller scale which is what i thought wast he original point.
Where is that location
Is shown in the first 3 seconds of the video. It is in Murang'a, Kenya.
How can I get the website for the company who make this project done
Our website is www.turbulent.be !
@@TurbulentHydro Please can you write here your whatsapp number?
Those control rooms need to be shielded from the Sun , BIG TIME, from solar EMPs. Left unshielded, all the metal inside will melt when the next Carrington hits, and that is when this micro-power plant will he need more than ever!
I keep hearing about these solar EMPs but have not seen anything destroyed. Do you have any examples of the devastation it caused?
