It's Stage 4, But...

- Just met with my oncologist yesterday, Dr. Sylvia Jaramillo, and here's what I learned:
1) I'm stage 4
2) Have some spots in both lungs, and in liver (which may or may not be cancer)
3) My liver biopsy tomorrow, and PET scan next week will tell us if they are
4) Getting my port installed 4 days from now
5) Starting chemo 5 days from now
6) I'm super anemic (low iron), and low on B12 and folate. Supplementing.
7) No cause for alarm yet! Remember, colorectal cancer responds very well to treatment, compared to other cancers :)

I'm watching this on 06/24/24, exactly 3 years after the date of this video. I just saw his video dated 2 days ago in which he says it might be last transmission. I really hope not. I just found his channel. He is full of such positivity, I don't know if I would be like that if I had it.
Yes --its 6/24/24 for me too. This sweet young guy is the kindest man I know
I am watching this video on 6/26/2024. What a sweetheart and so sad to see the beginning of his journey and his last one today. I hope his last days are comfortable for him and peaceful.
He’s amazing isn’t he.
Right after the fauci ouchy
anthonyr5869 did he say he had it? Its so terrible... It's my first thought when people fall ill😞
Watching this / rewatching 07/20/24. Glad Dan had a good 3 years. Wish it was more.
The suffering in his last transmission! Yet, still is grateful for the time left! GOD BLESS THIS MAN!
Heaven gained an excellent chiropractor July 22 5:08pm. He earned his 😇 status! Love you forever Dan!❤
Such a resemblance with Dr Dan and his brother John 🙏🏻
RIP Dr Dan💕💕
Truly will be missed 😥
RIP Dan. You fought to the end. Your courage in the face of adversely was truly an inspiration to everyone.
Wow! He died???? Hopefully there will be a video about this soon.

@@FirstLast-yc9lq it’s crazy and scary how cancer can lead to an instant downward spiral very quickly and unexpectedly at stage 4. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer last month. Very poor survival rate. Feels like we’re sitting on a ticking time bomb, not knowing if or when things will go south
amen and was teaching us to the end and he fought valiantly and with courage and dignity
😭😭😭😭😭 i came back to where it all started wanted to see him alive and (well) again rest in peace my friend, see you on the other side. You're a true inspiration ✨️
Saw my first video yesterday, by happenstance, and it was the last video Dr. Dan posted. I was deeply moved by the video and heartbroken when I learned of his passing just 2 days prior on 7/22/24, 5:08 pm. He speaks from the heart in all the videos I have watched and feel blessed to have found his channel. So much to learn about life and living with strength and courage in the face of death. A beautiful human being, Dr. Dan. ❤❤❤❤❤ Rest in peace.
Rest in peace, dear Dan🙏. You taught us so much about strength, positivity, and bravery🌈🌻
An absolute inspiration to mankind. May we all be this strong, brave, intelligent and positive.
Rest easy sweet one. You’ve helped so many.
Over 3 years survival in that type of stage IV is no small feat. Your good energy will have ripple effect through all of us, no matter what's the ultimate outcome.
I believe we will lose him today. Happy waking from the dream, Dr. Dan.
Terribly sad. I’m following him too.
And indeed. He is gone
U just said u r 55. U look much younger and so healthy. Thk u for sharing your story.
Yea he looks about 42
Wait he's 55? Holy shit he looks better than some 20 year old wow
He truly does. Cancer is insidious. 🙏🕊️
Thinking of Dan daily. Have been the last couple months. I found his channel last year when I was struggling with depression, he had kind words for me. I’ll be getting some In-N-Out in his honor soon, but I’ll be having mine with a bun. Sending hugs to all my fellow pandas.
Thanks for sharing your journey, it’s helped me during my cancer journey . You will be missed
Rest in Peace Dan
Condolences. This guy’s “last transmission” randomly came up on my feed about a month ago (who knows how the algorithm was working given that I can’t think of a time I’ve actually searched or looked at a medical related vid), and was surprised at his good spirits. Looked through some of his earlier content-like this after-and was glad that this kind of content is being produced on CZcams. Was sorry to learn yesterday that he passed a couple days ago. Saddened to see that it was, in fact, Dr. Dan’s last transmission.
Watch all videos that are updates. It changed my life - well that sounds.. but in a way yes. I am trying his approach to my life now. If man with stage 4 can be happy, so can I.
What a beautiful smile you have Dr Dan you are a kind beautiful soul
I just found your channel today and saw your most recent video. I'm praying for you. Life is so unpredictable and I've actually been in your shoes but stage 3b. Everyday is a gift and I'm going to hope for the best for you.💗Lisa
RIP Dr Dan. You fought your cancer battle with such bravery and grace and kept your faith.
I am just so thankful he is comfortable and not suffering. He has been one hell of a trooper. Very Brave and uplifting man since the day of his diagnosis. I would bet be surprised if he leaves us today or tomorrow. Either way, may God comfort and bless his family and Fly High Dan! ❤❤
RIP Dr Dan ❤❤❤
What a brave and dedicated man he is. I just came across this channel and I'm so sad that he's in hospice now. My life was saved 32 years ago by a wonderful team at a major cancer center but not all cancers can be cured. I lost my dear husband to it 21 years ago.
RIP Dr. Dan. You are a true Heavenly Angel now. We love you forever. 💙🙏
Btw, my brother in law was diagnosed with same as dr. dan and passed away a few weeks before dr dan. Both made me see life differently. To value each day as precious and to focus on simple kindness and helping others. What date he got diagnosed?
Sending many prayers your way. I’m so far a cancer survivor. 3 1/2 years ago I found out that I had lung cancer. I had my left lung removed. And although I can’t do the things I use to do, I very grateful that I’m still here today. You have a great attitude and I did the same with mine which will carry you far. Please keep up that attitude. Praying all goes well.
Found this going back through your videos. You were so brave and positive then as you are now with your latest prognosis. Hope you continue to feel better both physically and emotionally.❤
I was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer with metastatic liver disease. I had lesions in my liver with large tumors in right and left. The lesions were too numerous to count. I had a colon resection and my gallbladder was removed. Biopsy of my liver and had 4 positive lymph nodes removed. I also had a mediport placed. I have been doing chemo treatments since June of 2022. My CEA number was 900+ in the beginning. My number came all the way down to 29 and it’s now going back up. It’s at 64 now. It’s like a rollercoaster ride with my number I’ve had the Y90 done to my right and left lobes of my liver. I turned 50 last year on November 12th. Watching your journey, makes me feel like I’m not alone in this battle. I’ve watched your most recent video and I’m praying for you. I had a ct scan today to see if my disease has progressed or not. Scary feeling.
Please consider Dr Thomas Lodi and Dr Thomas Seyfried. Systemic fermenting cells. It’s metabolic
Have you tried fasting?! Look up cancer and fasting
My son was diagnosed in may and had his tumor in his colon removed then. Last Thursday we found out his cancer had spread to his liver. We have to wait for more information because of thanksgiving. It’s so scary to not have the information we need.
But one thing I have learned is SUGAR feeds cancer. It’s important to fast and cut all sugars out of your diet.
@@LissaOntheGo Please don’t give up hope. Instead, search for a different understanding and one which illuminates.
Think not of this made up word, “cancer”. Instead, learn to see this as chronically fermenting cells. This is a natural physiological response to something. Once you understand the cause, you can arrive at a cure.
Please look into Dr Thomas Seyfried’s work.
@@KrisVComm But isn't Lodi some anti-vaxxer homeopathy quack, who claims that cancer is actually a healing-mechanism and that it's the treatments that kill people? Like others, I stumbled across your channel because your "last transmission" video showed up in my recommended video list. Very sad situation. I don't understand why doctors didn't order a colonoscopy and/or other tests much, much sooner in response to those seemingly extreme symptoms. It seems like the cancer could have been caught much sooner, potentially before it metastasized. So sorry you are going through this!
Thinking of you... Sorry you are hurting. Prayers and the best of wishes as you face this situation. Thank you for caring about others enough to share your story for us to learn from. Again, prayers and positive wishes...
Been praying for you since I’ve understood. I’ve been though multiple myeloma with my husband. Praying you fight, strength, wisdom, love, and rest.

Glad that you are doing well and hope everything turns out ok
Wow I cannot believe a doctor was pooping 20-30 times a day and didn’t realize that’s a huge problem 😢 so sad. So much prayers and love to you ❤ you’re still here 2 years later and that alone is incredible for stage 4 cancer ❤
Most likely he figured because of the fruit juices and stuff that it was a normal thing
Let me tell you I've been precancerous for about 15 to 20 years a year after I had my colonoscopy I started feeling weird stuff on my right side burning sensation all kinds of weird things and I kept on telling my doctor and she kept on saying it was acid reflux or something after being like this for about 6 months I went to her and I said I want a referral to get a colonoscopy and thanks to me know in my body I'm still alive but I have stage 3 colon cancer if I would have waited longer I would probably be gone by now like Kirstie Alley.

Do you people just never go to the doctor? You're supposed to get a colonoscopy routinely when you get close to 40, and probably should get it done by the time you're 35. Almost all colon cancer is asymptomatic and your liver cancer probably happened because of your colon cancer, unless you drank yourself to liver cancer.
To anyone reading this, don't stay away from the doctor. All this person had to do was get a colonoscopy at around age 35, with extreme cases being younger.

This video is 2 years old. He doesn't look this good now. In September 2023 he was told he has 2 to 6 months to live.
I was having bowel issues for 1.5 years. Finally got a 1st colonoscopy at age 54. No tumors and no polps. Turns out a rectocele and vaginal prolapse caused the bowel issues.
Phew, right? How long until you have to go again?
I just scheduled a consult w/my GI doc. Can't be seen until January. Then to schedule the colonoscopy + endoscopy. Good times!
@@5Gburn I found a doctor who was willing to do the colonoscopy without having GI consultation first. If I needed the office visit before the colonoscopy, it would have been a long wait.

You are so brave to share this. Any type of tumor is so scary. A good book is Chris Beat cancer. He became vegan and drank a ton of carrot juice. It worked for him. This is similar to the Gerson therapy. This seems to be the most common way people beat tumors.
I just found this channel but I can't find the FIRST video (the one he references in THIS video) in which he first told his audience about his colo-recytal cancer diagnosis. I'm sure he has a devoted enough following who might know which video he first mentioned that in. Thanks. I hope you are having a maraculous recovery, Dan!
Me too.. searching, but can't find
I think he deleted it because there were comments from viewers critical of him not seeking answers to symptoms he was having issues like very frequent bowl issues. Unfortunately because he's a doctor he was criticized more than a regular patient would be. Doctors are human too, I'm sure he's not the first doctor to ignore their own symptoms and to initially attribute them to other possible causes.
He’s a chiropractor not a medical doctor.

honestly i keep looking at this and a previous one i cant help but think that Dan gave his life away sadly. He hinted at giving an explanation at some point why he waited so long but never addressed it. I just dont undestand why he had all these symptoms for well over a year and didnt do anything. The family should really make this a priority in educating his followers about colon cancer. Its the one thing that disappointed me about how he went about his illness
Thats not very nice thing to say. He did say why in podcast with his brohter. Its not like you know ints cancer like in 2 weeks. Also it was COVID and hard to get appoitnmens. Not for a year for about 8 monts. Do you usually go for colonoscopy when you have constipation? ffs
We have saying that everybody is general after battle. So read the room and jesus christ..
How can someone who is in great shape and takes care of himself be given this news?
Cancer does not discriminate. Very hard pill to swallow for those who have always taken care of themselves. 😢
@@JillyBean1968 yeah you’re not kidding.
Unfortunately there is no magic to prevent cancer. Not diet, not exercise, not positive thinking, or even youth. So many people of all ages are diagnosed every day.
He didn’t exactly take good care of himself because he didn’t get the colonoscopy he was supposed to get in 2018 when he turned 50. And then he delayed getting checked out for a year and half when his symptoms were quite severe. He even commented that the “moral of his cancer story” is to “get your regular medical checkups on time. “ Had he done it in 2018 or 2019, his cancer wouldn’t necessarily have been fatal, as colon cancer is slow-growing and colon polyps take 10 years to turn cancerous. I think as humans, we all have the tendency to take our health for granted, especially when we’re still young. Dr. Dan focused more on his physical fitness, but wasn’t as vigilant with his regularly scheduled medical checkups. I feel very sad because he still had so much to live for. BTW, taking good care of yourself doesn’t make you immune to cancer, and there’s not one thing, diet, or exercise that could prevent anyone from not getting cancer. Many, many, many people that do/did everything right still come/came down with cancer. What’s also extremely important is to get cancer screenings when they’re due. The earlier cancer is caught, the higher the chance of survival.
His brother mentioned that he did not always take care of himself that he was addicted to something. I don’t know what it was if it was alcohol I’m not sure, but his brother mentioned that yesterday either way, so sad.

So sorry to hear that. I’ve known a few people diagnosed with lymphoma over the past few years. If I’m not mistaken, I think lymphoma is one of the cancers that responds well to chemo. Also, try to cut out sugars and carbs. They fuel cancer cells.
My mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer that spread to her lymph nodes - completely changed her diet and cut all sugar and carbs. She responded extremely well to treatment and got a 100% response. Cancer free 5 years now. I think her diet had a lot to do with it.
Good luck, healing, love and light ❤
Some lymphomas, such as diffuse large b-cell (DLBC) lymphoma respond very well to treatment. I was treated for DLBC lymphoma in 2017 (aggressive chemo, followed by 22 rounds of radiation). Treatment went well. I am cancer free 6+ years later. A few tips - 15:23 Low-carb, minimal sugar. Ensure your Vit D level is optimal (60-80; supplement if not and take Vit K2 with the D3. Green tea. Turmeric (curcumin). Think positive thoughts and just get thru one cycle/round at a time. The chemo side effects were much harsher than the radiation. Many of the blood cancers respond much better than do solid-tumor cancers. Might wish to join the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society…helpful info and support. Good luck and best wishes to you.
What were your initial symptoms? So hard to believe you could look this good and have stage 4. God bless you!

Yes, it was his first colonoscopy, which revealed the mass in his colon.
He was 52 and having 30 painful bowel movements with blood a day before he had his first colonoscopy, at which time they discovered a baseball sized tumor. By then it had spread to his lungs and liver and he was diagnosed as stage 4 colorectal cancer. He’s close to the end of his cancer journey now per his June 2024 video. A very sad story and some rough years of treatment. He handled the treatment with grace and optimism.

I have the urge to say you're in great physical shape. You probably already know to keep eating protein to build white blood cells. Some patients get denied chemo on the day of treatment if their white blood cells are low; and they would have to wait until the levels are normal again. White blood T cells are essential to the immune system, and they fight disease and cancer. Also note that calcium inhibits iron absorption, so try to time the intake of the 2 nutrients separately. ❤️
Thank you for the great info, Thi -- I will keep an eye on these things!!
