My issue with the idea of it being Acquaint fates instead of Intertwined is nobody just has 180 acquaint fates saved (unless they’re coping for a new use for them)… but most people just spend them when they get them and they’re pretty limited unless you are levelling characters or buying from the shop resets
Having to split your primo resources between acquaint and intertwined fates would be a pain as well.
I think I literally had 1 ten pull of acquaint fates in all of 4.4

I had an issue with it not being standard fates but honestly it does make sense the more I thought about it. I think for now we should give it time and maybe the characters and weapons will be better because right now it doesn't have high value especially with the 4.5 characters and weapons.
Kinda skill issue then. Just learn to save fates if you're considering this option in the future. That said, this is definitely predatory by Hoyoverse. It's 100% gonna catch out newer players most notably.

Also, as a person who uses up acquaint fates after getting a 10+ i'm glad new banner is intertwined fates. I'd feel like i wasted so many blue fates...
People coping insanely hard saying the chronicle banner will change how it works in future updates. Genshin doesn’t change things. Unless everyone ever is openly mad about something. Like Zhongli having incredible backlash in China, weapon banner not having any guarantee. Stuff like that. This system is just good enough for me to see defenders everywhere. It will not change, the only way I see it changing is if genshin starts dying. And actually dying not just assuming it’s doing badly.
This new banner is actually great,i don't understand why most people are already saying its bad when they know literally nothing about the Banner.Intertwined fates is 10 times better than standard pull since standard pulls are in turn 10 times harder to get and would result in either you having to split your primos between the 2 types of wishes or just having to play 4 years untill you collect enough standard fates for 1 character.Also,how do you expect them to make a banner full of limited characters use standard wishes?! One day in the future this banner could look something like this:Zhongli,Hu tao,Yelan,Ganyu,Xiao,Shenhe,or something like that,and people really think its fair to get all thease limited characters with standard pulls,that are also harder to get?Tectone has literally made to whole community so braindead that they see any good change as a bad one,i can bet you if the banner used standard fates instead people would than complain about why wasn't it intertwined fates,its crazy.Also Its a completely better weapon banner as in the regular one you need 2 fate points as to here you only need 1,even if the pity is 10 pulls more,lets bo honest its nearly impossible to get to hard pity.As far as the character banner aide goes its literally like any other banner with the exception of the fate point not carrying out to the next banner which is completely understandable since you can't chart a course for lets say Yelan and then the banner changes and your chart for Yelan is still active when she is no longer on the banner,Just wish there if you really want the character and have enough to guarantee them,even if you can't guarantee them,you could still get an OP 5 limited 5 star as a "lost 50/50" which is great.I hope with time people will come to realise just how good this system really is and stop arguing against it like their purpose in life is to hate on everything genshin does for no reason,thease people are blinded by the public opinion and can't think straight for themselves...
Noone is complaining first, everyone was happy untill they see the date point is not valid for banner change...so your lost pity will be doomed unless u pull with 180 summons in hand

Ain't no surprise that some characters rerun after 3-4 patches. Though after 3 patches is extremely rare, 4 patches is standard among newer characters (but can't apply to everyone of course).
New characters get two runs during their respective region banners like alhaitham had two, nahida had two and so on

I remember when they introduced the newer artifact systems for the 4.x era, their post featured +20 artifacts that if you checked them, were not actually leveled at all and were also 5* versions of artifacts that only exist as 4* in the main game. Until we see it on live, I don't think that the data will be as bad as it seemed from their examples on the stream.
I did briefly think that them introducing a straight up in game guide for improving character builds seems like they're trying to train newer players to do more "advanced" content. It did not personally occur to me that this could segue into them possibly making new end game and wanting players to be prepared; I guess that's possible but tbh it's probably more likely that newer players are complaining about dying or not being able to defeat bosses and the customer service reps are like "guys we gotta hold their hands". Some of the posts I've seen online just tell me people don't read or read too fast or just forget. This might be good for people who aren't sure who they want to come back and farm for after a long time away from playing. Honestly I know it's overall probably a good thing but I'm just not interested.

Legally speaking, the Chronicled Banner can ONLY use intertwined fates. Chronicled Banners will contain event-exclusive characters, and those characters are explicitly advertised as limited to event wish banners that use intertwined fates. Allowing players to get these exclusive characters using standard wishes just opens up HYV to an enormous can of litigation worms.
People spend months saving primos or hundreds to thousands of dollars to get event-exclusive characters during their limited banners. Then suddenly players can get one with standard wishes? I would bet my account that 100% violates several advertising and/or product laws in a lot of places.
The Chronicled Banner is just a way for players (esp newer ones) to get characters or weapons that are much older (eg the Mond ones) or less likely to get reruns (eg Hunter's Path or Khaj-Nisut) without affecting the main banners (where HYV gets most of its revenue). Especially since it's non-permanent and will have a rotating roster.

I agree with Atsu that pity could have been lower, tho, to make this banner more appealing. And I also kind of?? get why the guarantee doesn't carry over, since the banner is non-permanent and it'd be unfair to older players. And this is just the first iteration aka the trial - future iterations could have much better rosters.
From what i heard its not going to have archons but other characters such as kazuha, ayaka, ganyu, shenhe etc. Now the question is will neuvillette be also there when the banner runs the Fontaine edition also you can get the exclusive weapon after just 1 50-50 thats a huge win😂 for me
Let's be honest here, the main reason they added this banner is to avoid any Eula incidents in the future (which is why Albedo is on that banner, bro hasn't been seen since Sumeru came out). That, and we're gonna see more powerful units getting reruns sooner
I pulled for Klee and got Eula on 41st pull instead, I'm happy with that bc first I got a limited character that I didn't already have and it also now guarantee my Klee, second it was early so I still have time to get my guaranteed Klee, third I don't have to wait for their limited character banners for that long time anymore, and forth I'll get two limited characters that I like in one patch for a very little amount of primos, while I'd need so much more if I wanted to pull for them in their own limited character banners bc I'd at least needed to win two 50/50s what is really really hard. So in my situation this chronicled wish banner is an absolute win ahah

These are the perfect times for CEO of GEO with the amount of geo that we're actually getting. Ahhh I still remember that one meme when dendro was the golden child and geo was seen at the very bottom of hoyo's attention list lol NOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED
Also the chronicled wish seems very scammy for the most part. Unless you're pulling for a weapon or if it has more exclusieve characters you wouldn't mind loosing to. And like you said having a chance to loose to a different character other than our main standards is making it a little better. Still very risky but better.
+would be fair if we could use both fates to wish on that banner, since still in the most part it has more standard items than exclusieves.

If the chronicled wish banner only took up to 90 pulls to guarantee a character you wanted then smart players would wait instead of pulling on limited banners. Ever rotating banners might mean you need to save up more pulls yes, but it also means the opportunity to pull the characters you want will appear again sooner. Hopefully this is the remedy we needed for characters that had >1yr between banners.

Neuvillette cons incoming for me, already have Kazuha. I really like the new banner. More options are always good. Playing for 3 years and still no Jean…. Also I don’t normally pull on weapon banner, so this just provides another opportunity to get some good weapons. The more options the better.

That design looks similar to Mistsplitter because it's Inazuma weapon, forged from Ei's style. If Genshin is notoriously known for something, it's having interconnected lore in every item in the game. The new Fontaine weapons looks different because they're from another region. Take not that this one has way different stat and substat than Mistsplitter.
Edit: That 50/50 split in likes/dislikes looks interesting.

This is regional banner so every character in this banner must be in same region and archons will not be in this banner we can see venti is not here. So they say a character after 3 run(first banner is counted) can be in thes banner. So Liyue one is Hu Tao, Ganyu, Tartaglia, Xiao, Yelan and ofc Liyue standart characters qiqi and keqing. These are possibilities. And Idk weapons how is going maybe they put Characters sign weapons but we will see. Last thing we dont know banner duration thats very important too. Love to see you back with this kind of videos. Have a fun in Japan❤

Im debating if I should roll for Neuvillette or Zhongli (if Zhongli will come again)
In the early game, they both don't matter, but in the endgame, go for Neuvillete because his damage potential is just too good to let go. He is amazing in abyss against bosses like Wenut and Thunder Manifestation or against a group of mobs, but Zhongli makes you immune to damage in overworld and abyss.
As someone who plays since 1.1 and pulled zhongli since his first banner my recommendation is to go for neuvi. I only use zhongli now for Hu tao combs. Xiao who would have benefited too just got cloud retainer who helps with his survivability. Neuvi can be used in dendro and hyperbloom teams and rly easy to build. Even tho my artifacts suck he does the damage which is needed to at least beat floor 12.
If you need a shielder and enjoy playing geo then Zhongli. If you need a dps then Neuvillette. Both are great to have on your account.

i think that banner is good. ive been begging for the blue fates to be used for something meaningful. theyre all old units anyways. whats the harm of letting f2p players getting more 5 star units? its been 3 years for them they deserve some easier ways to get good units they missed out on. ive saved them up cause im bored or i spam us them cause i need stardust. its a start. i dont see them giving us anything more than this so this is still a huge w if they do use the blue fates. this also gives huge incentive to players to acually play and grind meaningfully instead of aimlessly

While I know everyone wants the new banner to use the Acquainted Fates, less than the 90 Hard Pity, Guranteed at 90 and even for the Fate point to cross over, you have to think about the fairness in regards to the Limited Banners.
- The Limited Banner is a 90 Hard Pity 1 Fate Point (If you consider losing 50 50 Guaranteed as a Fate Point)
- The Weapon Banner is 80 Hard Pity and 2 Fate Points
So how do you make a banner that respects not just the Limited Banner but also the Weapon Banner for people that has actually spend on these banners without feeling ripped off that another player just get the items they wished for for far less than they had. ((They had to keep every players potential attitudes in mind when they create a new banner like this))
It's to find a middle ground. This middle ground is the implementation we have now for the new banner.
- Keep the same Fates as Limited Banner
- Keep the same 90 Hard Pity while respecting the same 50 50.
- Also remove the Fate Point cross over because unlike Weapon banner that needs 240 Hard Pity to guarantee, the new baner is 180 Hard Pity for both Weapons and Characters.
- As for why reset the Guaranteed 50 50 Pity too? It's because unlike the 2 Limited banners, whereby you will only have the opportunity to get the 1 featured Limited Character and 0 possibility of another limited character since the 2 concurrent Limited banners are separate (Unlike the Weapon Banner set-up), the new Chronicles Banner may feature multiple Limited characters that losing a 50 50 could potentially give you another Limited Character and isn't always guaranteed to be a Standard Unit like the regular Limited Banners.
It's very complicated and I think they did a fair job in implementating a fair version of this kind of banner.
You may also call me a Genshin White knight if you dont agree, the fact is, its not what you want, its what is fair for the broad audience.

I hadn’t thought at all about the fairness towards older players vs newer players maybe because I have three accounts (ar 60, 56 and 45) so I’m a bit of an old, middle and new player definitely when it comes to investment (my first account had the highest priority at all times for events, daily’s, quests, anything). I’m f2p so any improvement or extra chances from what it was it was before counts as an improvement although I do feel like I won’t use the banner as much considering I won’t get to 180 pulls that quickly. I am very much a wisher more than a saver and I’m happy with any character (I also use a lot of standards) so if there’s a limited banner I don’t wanna wish on I will gladly take this chance.
