@x40xandus Russia is the second best army in Ukraine. Wagner proved Russia is the second best army in Russia. Putin is only alive because Wagner decided its too much trouble to start a Civil War. If any leader of any real strength had a rebellion he'd put their heads on spikes. Putin just let him recruit and retrain in Belarus. This time next year Wagner will be able to overwhelm the Russian military. Face it, the Russian military sucks.
I'm a huge MPFC fan, and don't recall this bit, at all. LOVED it. Actually laughed out loud. The names that the characters have are funny, as well. Mr Pither.
Trotsky singing "I'm Just an Old-Fashioned Girl". What kind of twisted mind makes that up? These guys should have been elected to the U.S. Senate, or the House of Lords, depending on their country of origin.
I like the poster at 6:25 , advertising a variety show, it’s a nice touch that would have taken a bit of work but they don’t draw attention to it. Burgess and Maclean as a double act, I suppose that was recently in the news right about when this was aired. I had to wiki who bulganin was, and I wonder why they added Cook and Moore at the bottom. Maybe no real reason….
@@JohnSmith-el2nj I was actually in. te audience when they filmed the live sections at BBC TV. A long time ago.... ...but sadly my Crunchie. is well past it's expiry date.
Cook and Moore, along with Jonathan Miller and Alan Bennett, came out of the Oxford and Cambridge student revues, and then were in the original 'Beyond the Fringe', kicking off the 'Satire Boom' of the early 60s. Several of The Pythons (and The Goodies) were in the Cambridge Footlights Club a few years later, becoming famous with the show 'Cambridge Circus.'

Have not seen this one. Super funny. I wonder what gibberish they speak when they pretend to speak Russian (I know it is NOT Russian, but sounds like some other slavic language...)
Which is why the Soviets generally did not use firing squads. Their usual method of execution was a pistol bullet fired into the back of the head at point-blank range.
4:25 Now I get it! British politicians have been watching too much Monty Python lately! That's why they think supporting Ukraine is a good idea! They think this is all real and Russian soldiers always miss!

Warped more likely 😁
Mad Magazine and Frank Zappa were also extremely helpful!
I misinterpreted that as "member of parliament" and was even more confused
How could you miss. He moved.Cracks me up every time.
I've really grown to appreciate "The bicycle trip". When i was young i thought it was one of the weaker skits. It's a gem
It was their first consistent "story" with permanent characters and damn funny as well.
Oh no dear now is the dream .. Excellent..
This is my favorite skit of all... has always been sice I first saw it many decades back...
The clanking pots and pans is hilarious. Motha, no dear this is the dream… classic
No, this is the dream. You're still in the cell. Hilarious
"That turnip's certainly not safe." The Monty Python group were the best comedians since Gilbert and Sullivan.
"Carry on with the execution.." . Hahahaha
It's amazing how British he sounds even when trying on a Russian accent
"I looked around but could not see the target."
In Soviet Russia, you *ARE* target!
thank you for explaining the joke…
In order to save time we will talk in English.
Russian military hasn't changed much since this.
Aha, you know it??? Or is it what you imagine?
It's obvious... if you watch any news not from Russia.

Excellent documentary. Eartha Kitt’s role in the survival of U.K.’s democracy, such that it is nowadays, is finally revealed.
Aah, Mr Pither. We can learn a lot from his can-do attitude.
The scene where they run from the theater till the prison is literally the kind of jumps i make in my dreams lol.
i soooo needed to watch the last scene, i wanted to know the ending of the execution
Monty python is such incredible inspiration to the whole world
I hope that Mr. Pither's plums remained undamaged. 🧐🎩
Terry Jones RIP

Помните, ещё у Бенни Хилла была смешная пародия на советских деятелей.
Made me think of Two-Flower also
Do ye think he sells in sewer ants?
Also, I hope you don't feel I'm hatefully speaking for mentioning a capitalist theory.

I was immoderately glad they escaped.

Is it bad that I'm focused on those rifles being SKS's and to rack the bolt like that there needs to be a round of some sort in the chamber
WOW, didn't know this. "Mr. Pither" and "Eartha Kitt" could have been Alec Baldwinned.
