Im a sunni muslim from the philippines. I took a wrong path when i was around 17yrs old. I read a lot about shiaism, i read books by Tijani "Then I Was guided" and other shia books. I was convinced with their books at that time. Without knowing that those hadith by they are propagating are daif. And become shia, but what i observe is when i became shia my Iman drop so much. I developed hatred to some of the sahaba, become timid in prayer because I joined my 2 prayers but as times goes on i know something is not right. It was Brother Adnan who have the most logical and practical reasoning. Like the fadak,
If Fadak is inherited then why the wives of rasulullah s.a.w didnt have their own share too. If it is a gift from Rasulullah s.a.w to fatima ra why Ali ra didnt get it when he become the Caliph. So much hatred and twisted in shiaism. Its never been a practice of a muslim to curse anyone. The prophet didnt say lanatullah to abu jahl but shias do lanatullah

Some people just won't accept the rationale and truth, despite how absurd their version of events sound. Shia, Christianity and every other religion seem similar in falsehood. Hearts are dead as was mentioned.

Kamil Al-Ziyarat was written by Ibn Qulawayh Al-Qummi ( the liar). The book is full of lies and absurdities as expected out of them, however Rafidah believe that the author has narrated from the most reliable and trustworthy Shia scholars, which testifies to the “authenticity” of this work. ‘Ayatullah’ Abdul-Hamid Al-Muhajir, an extremist Zindeeq and Kafir from Iraq who is one of the major Khatibs of the Imams Ali Msoque in Najaf tesifies as well that EVERYTHING in this book is Sahih according to the Rafidi school (debunking a wide spread Shia lie by many Shia apologetics who claim that Shias do not have any Sahih books, using this excuse whenever they are confronted with heresies from their books):
Lets see what is meant by ” reliable and trustworthy ” in Rafidha cult, here some excerpts from this satanic books (note how many lies they have ascribed to the Ahl Al-Bayt):
- Praying an obligatory prayer equals a Hajj, and praying a recommended prayer equals an Umrah in Kufa Mosque ( pg 27)
- Giving a Dirham in charity in Kufa equals giving two hundred Dirhams elsewhere (pg 27).
- In Mosque Kufa, praying one obligatory prayer equals 1000 prayers and a recommended prayer equals 500 prayers elsewhere (pg 27).
- Sitting in Kufa Masjid without praying or praising Allah is considered a worship act (pg 28).
- Do not neglect prayers in Kufa Masjid even if you have to crawl to it ( pg 30).
- Blessings of Kufa Masjid extend to 12 miles radius. The right side of this Masjid is prosperity but its left side is cunning ( pg 32).
- Euphrates is the chief of the water bodies in the world and Hereafter. Every night an angel descends and drops three pieces of musk from the musk of Paradise in Euphrates. ( pg 56).
- There are two believing rivers and two disbelieving rivers. The two disbelieving rivers are Balkh and Tigris, and the two believing rivers are Nile and Euphrates (pg 57).
- Fatima (RA) was averse to her pregnancy while she was carrying Hussain (RA) and was averse to giving birth to him (pg 62).
- The Prophet (SAW) also refused to accept Hussain, saying that he didn’t need such a son, who will be killed at a later stage but when reminded of the imamate by Jibraeel (AS), the Prophet (SAW) accepted Hussain (RA) (pg 63).
Four thousand angels came down to fight for Imam Hussein but he did not permit them. When they came down again to seek permission, Imam Hussein had already been martyred. So they remain at his grave, disheveled and covered with dust, crying over him until Judgment Day. Their leader is an angel called Mansur. (pg 89)
- There is no prophet in the heavens or earth who does not ask Allah’s permission to perform the Ziyarat of Imam Hussein. Thus a crowd descends to perform the Ziyarat of Imam Husain and a crowd ascends back to the heavens. ( pg 112)
- Allah goes to his Ziyarat every Friday evening, with the angels, prophets, successors. ( pg 113)
- Days spent in Ziyarat of Imam Husain are not counted as part of ones lifespan; and are not reduced from the time of ones death. ( Pg 134 )
- One who performs the Ziyarat of the grave of Imam Husain by the banks of Euphrates is like one who has visited Allah on His Throne. ( Pg 142 )
- One who performs the Ziyarat of Imam Husain with recognition of his rights and without any pride or arrogance is equal to 1000 accepted hajj and 1000 accepted umrahs. ( pg 153 )
- One should not settle in Mecca, because the people of Mecca openly disbelieve in Allah and the people of Medina are even worse than the people of Mecca. ( pg 157 )
- Missing Hajj and spending Arafah day at the grave of Imam Hussain is equal to the reward of participating in 1000 battles with a divine messenger and performing 1000 accepted hajj and umrahs. ( pg 158 )
- Persons of illegitimate births can visit Arafah but nobody with illegitimate birth can visit the grave of Imam Hussein. ( pg 159 )
- Performing ghusl in Euphrates river is equal to earning a reward of hajj and umrah. Pg 176
- The faith and belief is incomplete without performing ziyarat of the shrine of Hussein. Those who omit will be from the folks of hellfire. Pg 178
Those Shia who visit the grave of Hussein should ask Allah to send curse on those who distorted holy book. pg 185.
- The land of the Kaaba once said in pride, “Who is like me, Allah has built His house on me, people from far come to me and I have been chosen as Allah’s sanctuary?” Allah revealed to it: Keep quiet and calm down! I swear by My Glory and Magnificence that your honor compared to the honor which I have granted to the land of Karbala is like a drop of water on a needle dipped in the sea. Pg 288
- 200 prophets, two hundred successors and two hundred grandsons of the prophets died In karbala before Imam Hussain. pg 291
- The Almighty Allah, created, blessed and sanctified Karbala 24000 years before He created the Kaaba. Pg 291
- The cure for every disease is in the clay of Imam Hussein’s (a.s.) grave, even if it is collected a mile away from the grave and it is the greatest medicine. Pg 295
- The newly born babies should be rubbed with clay of karbala, since it is protection against diseases. Pg 300

Allah Taala said in the Quran:
And if you are in doubt as to that which We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like it and call on your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful.
Shaykh allama of shias, Al-Istarabadi narrated in his book “Taweel ayatu zaheer” (1/42-43) his own version of this verse:
Translation:
From Abu Jafar (alaihi salam): Jibril descended upon Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa ali) with this verse, in this form: “And if you are in doubt as to that which We have revealed to Our servant ABOUT ALI, then produce a chapter like it”

I think it's the atmopshere that didn't allow him to think clearly and think fairly even in this situation anyone should even if it's just to hear the opposing views to see what is more logical. I believe in situations were the atmosphere is really tight and tense emotions are just going to run up and clog the conversation because brother became to passionate with his own believes instead of listenening because of the atmosphere I believe talk to this brother 1 on 1 that would hopefully give him more room and easeness to really take in what is said. May Allah guide this brother and all our brothers and sisters to the right path. I hope the Shia guy will return so that you can have a good open warm convo

Sunni historians reported that: When Umar came to the door of the house of Fatimah, he said: "By Allah, I shall burn down (the house) over you unless you come out and give the oath of allegiance (to Abu Bakr)."

Although the timing is not clear, it seems that ‘Ali and his group came to know about Saqifa after what had happened there. At this point, his supporters gathered in Fatimah’s house. Abu Bakr and
Umar, fully aware of ‘Ali’s claims and fearing a serious threat from his supporters, summoned him to the mosque to swear the oath of allegiance. ‘Ali refused, and so the house was surrounded by an armed band led by Abu Bakr and Umar, who threatened to set it on fire if ‘Ali and his supporters refused to come out and swear allegiance to Abu Bakr. The scene grew violent and Fatimah was furious. (See Ansab Ashraf, by al-Baladhuri in his , v1, pp 582-586; Tarikh Ya’qubi, v2, p116; al-Imamah wal-Siyasah, by Ibn Qutaybah, v1, pp 19-20).
Abu Bakr said on the authority of an authentic report that, after the demise of the holy Prophet when the people had paid fealty to him, ‘Ali and Zubair used to go to Fatimah al-Zahra (sa), daughter of the Prophet, for consultation. When this fact was known to Umar, he went to Fatimah and said:
"O’ daughter of the Prophet! I didn’t love anyone as much as I loved your father, nor anyone after him is more loving to me as you are. But I swear by Allah that if these people assemble here with you, then this love of mine would not prevent me from setting your house on fire."

Imam Beyhaki narrated in his book al-Itiqad (p 497), with chain of upright narrators, that Imam of Ahlalbayt, Ali ibn Hussayn said: As for me, if I will be on the place of Abu Bakr, I will rule as he did in the issue of Fadak.
Shaykh of shias al-Murtada in his book “ash-Shafi fil Imama” (4/92) said:
ان الامر لما انتهى الى امير المؤمنين عليه السلام - اي علي رضي الله عنه - ترك فدك على ماكانت عليه - أي في عهد ابي بكر وعمر رضوان الله عليهما - ولم يجعلها ميراثا ولد فاطمة عليها السلام
Translation:
When ruling passed to commander of faithful, alaihi salam (meaning Ali), he left Fadak in the same place it was upon (during the time of Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman), and he didn’t make it inheritance to the children of Fatima..

Religious discussion is a very sensitive matter. People need to have adequate knowledge about their own faith to start with. There is place and time to have such sensitive discussion. Places like Hyde Park corner and any other public places are not ideal to hold such discussions/dialogues.
Secondly, most of the people regardless of their faith/religion/school of thought, are lay people who do not have enough knowledge or the skill to deal with certain issues. Sometimes, you need to have certain authentic information ready at hand as an evidence.
Quite often we notice that the Sunni speakers come out in threatening manner and do not allow the Shi'a speakers to finish their point.
Religious discussions/dialogues should take place amongst the scholars and knowledgeable people and not lay people in a suitable venue.
If I want to know anything about Christianity, would I study books written on Christianity by a rabbi? Would I approach a rabbi and ask him to enlighten me on Christianity? Would I go to a synagogue and expect to learn about Christianity there? Of course not. If I want to know about any religion/faith/school of thought, I need to study their authentic books, sit down with their respectable scholars and visit their places of worship. Above all, I should be open minded and free of prejudice.
After the death of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), Muslims have two options for seeking guidance from; the ahlulbayt (progeny) of the holy Prophet. Others.
The ahlulbayt are those family members of the holy Prophet who grew up in his blessed lap. Islam, Qur'an, sharia'h, etc. were revealed in their house. The angels descended with the blessings, mercy and salutations from Allah into their house. Allah (swt) testifies of their purity, infallibility, sinlessness and perfection in the holy Qur'an. The holy Prophet left behind him the Book of Allah, the holy Qur'an and his holy progeny. Muslims are obligated to send blessings upon not only their holy Prophet but also his holy progeny in their namaz/salat. The holy ahlulbayt are the heirs of the holy Prophet's knowledge, wisdom and characteristics. The holy Prophet loved them the most and they loved him the most. They are the best examples and role models after the holy Prophet.
Who can understand Islam, Qur'an, sharia'h, the sunnah of the holy Prophet and so on better than the people of the house?
As regards to the others, we are not sure of the state of their iman, source of their knowledge, information, understanding and guidance about Islam.
Muslims need to carry out their own academic, independent and unbiased research on the school of the holy ahlulbayt (a s). No one is asking you to become a Shi'a. By carrying out your own unbiased research, if nothing else, you will find out how much you have been lied about the Shi'as and how much truth and facts are hidden from you.
The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of Muslims are victims of prejudice, brainwashing, ignorance, misconceptions and misinformation when it comes to the school of the holy ahlulbayt (a s).

According to Shia , Fadak is more important than Wilayah and Khilafah, but Fatimah asked for Fadak from Abo Bakir ( the kafir khalifah) but she did not ask for wilayah and Khilafah
Sunni al-Tabari ( d. 923) is as follows. We, the prophets, do not leave any inheritance; whatever we leave is charity.
This hadith demolishes the Shia inference which said Fatima should have been given the Fadak. This hadith categorically forbids the prophet's inheritance.
The other possible avenue she could have claimed was if she was given by the prophet, and this was not established in any authentic source. Had it been the case, it wouldn't have come to Abubakar. Because as we all know the land of Khaybar was solely distributed amongst the army of Khaybar and no one else included. The prophet would have had his share through Khumus, and the Khumus is for the maintenance of the government.
The truth is that the land was given to Fatima and usurped by the Caliphs .. Fatima was so angry that until her death did not speak to the usurpers and stated that Allah Wakil and the Prophet will be her witness ..

The daughter of Abu Bakr, the wife of the holy Prophet, the mother of the believers, Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her??) waged a war against the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his holy progeny), a member of the holy ahlulbayt and the the rightful caliph of her time, hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Many were killed and many were injured in this battle. The holy Prophet had warned his wives against this battle. The name of this battle is the battle of Jamal.
The son of Abu Sufyan and Hind, the father of Yazeed, Mu'awiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him??) waged a war against the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his holy progeny), a member of the holy ahlulbayt and the the rightful caliph of his time, hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). A highly respectable sahabi of the holy Prophet, Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred by Mu'awiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him??) in this battle.
The holy Prophet had informed Ammar that he would be killed by a gang of traitors. The name of this battle is the battle of Siffeen.
As a freethinking Muslim, I am sure that it is my right to analyse such episodes and search for concrete explanation, such as:-
1. How on earth can Allah be ever pleased with the oppressed and the oppressors at the same time? If this is not a mockery of religion then what else is it?
2. Can a sahabi of the holy Prophet be a warmonger, an evil monger, an oppressor and a bloodthirsty?
3. Can a warmonger, an evil monger, an oppressor, an unjust and a bloodthirsty be a sahabi of the holy Prophet?
4. What is the definition of a sahabi?
5. If you were present at the time, whose side would you have taken and on what grounds?
6. Who was right and who was wrong in these battles?
7. Who are the martyrs and who are the traitors in these battles?
8. Did Ayesha, Mu'awiyyah and their followers accept hazrat Ali (a s ) as the rightful caliph of their time or what?
9. What is the punishment for someone who rebels against the caliph of their time and wages wars against him?
10. What would you say about someone who wages wars against the flesh and blood of your Prophet?
11. What would you say about the mother of believers waging war against the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of your holy Prophet?
12. What kind of examples and role models are such beings for the Muslim ummah?
13. What kind of example and role model is Ayesha for the Muslim women?
14. What kind of Islam (if that is Islam) can be expected of such beings?
15. How can such beings who are drenched in innocent blood be a source of knowledge, information, understanding and guidance on Islam?
16. Did Ayesha, Mu'awiyyah and their followers pray namaz/salat? In their namaz, did they send blessings upon their holy Prophet and his holy progeny? What kind of beings were they who sent blessings upon their holy Prophet and his holy progeny and at the same time they waged wars against them, oppressed them and spilled their blood?
17. We are told not to speak anything against the wives and the sahabas of the holy Prophet regardless of their wrongdoing, warmongering, injustice and bloodshed. The SON of the prophet Nuh (a s) could not escape the wrath of Allah. The WIVES of prophets Nuh and Lut (a s ) are burning in the hellfire because of their corruption and wrongdoing. Allah has cursed the UNCLE of the holy Prophet, Abu Lahab by his name in the holy Qur'an. What makes Muslim think that the wives and the sahabas of the holy Prophet can get away with warmongering, evil mongering, injustice and bloodshed regardless?

18. Muslims claim to love the holy ahlulbayt of the holy Prophet and at the same time they love, revere, respect and honour their sworn enemies. They take them as their role models, source of knowledge, information, understanding and guidance after the holy Prophet!!

How many narrations do you come across in the Muslims so-called most authentic books like Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim that are narrated by personalities like the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet and a member of the holy ahlulbayt, hazrat Ali, or the Lady of the Light, Mistress of the women of paradise, a member of the holy ahlulbayt, the beloved daughter of the holy Prophet, hazrat Fatima Zahra, or the leaders of the youths of paradise, members of the holy ahlulbayt, the sahabas and the grandsons of the holy Prophet, Imams Hasan and Husain (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all)? Is it that these great personalities had nothing to contribute or their lofty status and merits are brushed under the carpet?
Muslims need to wake up from their deep slumber and start some soul searching about their source of knowledge, information, understanding and guidance on Islam after the holy Prophet (pbuh&hp).

Prophet Muhammad pbuh gifted fidak to his daughter on the command of Allah because hazrat khatija hazrat Fatimas s.a 's mother spend lot on islam at the beginning. I just noticed what i said it seems all these channels are sunni and challenging answering people christians atheists and doing dawa and it apears so that shia just have sunni who speek whit and talking too...

I know it's rare but that's because of the circumstances being less in numbers and less shown in the media, their are a lot of shia channels but they are mostly in Arabic
As you said these are sunni channels and they will show sunnis debate other than sunnis they won't show shia debating a Christian or a Christian debating a jew for example
Also it's because throughout history shia were oppressed by sunnis so our first reaction is to defend ourselves and our beliefs against them and furthermore our arguments against other religions are the same as sunni arguments against them

Search more you will find, also the same arguments of the shia against other religions are the same arguments that the sunnis present so it's not that big of a deal
one who knows to talk and express himself doesn't mean you are telling the truth.
This guy is just a regular Shia who follows because he was born into it and doesn't really know lot about he's book or the other parties book whereas adnan spent he's life debating and proving he's believe.

By the way I don't understand where are these argument any part of our faith .
Is it going to change how humble, pious, forgiving , wise, patient and so on of our character and conduct .because as far I'm concerned the main focus of Muhammad teaching was about changing.charactee and conduct, not whether you call yourself Shia or sunni or wahabbi.
