Chuck is the premier solo electronic musician in the world since we lost Klaus. Long may he reign.
Chuck is a legend in the world of electronic space music and a true hidden gem in the Philly music scene. Thank you for featuring his story!!
A wonderful and well-deserved tribute to Chuck. He has been the perfect curator and promoter of 'our kind of music' for years.
chuck has an audience way beyond philly through XPN's online presence; this is invaluable to those of us, friends of chuck's, who've been over to the US from europe to play at the gatherings & live on his show. my band's done it half a dozen times over the years & it's always a fabulous time for all. shout out to jeff towne, chuck's long-time & hard-working associate, & a shout out to tom gagliardi & john diliberto, other local broadcasters supporting the electronic & progressive music community internationally.
& bill fox. how could I forget bill fox? 😲
There's a limit as to how far I will drive to attend a concert..... but more times than I can count I've turned the key to 800 miles of driving to attend Chuck's Gatherings. We talk about living in the moment....being in the moment. We are so fortunate to have Chuck here now - and to miss what Chuck is creating is to miss life.
So glad to see Chuck, his music, and Star’s End featured. Well deserved, and well done! I moved from the Philadelphia area many years ago and it’s nice to maintain this connection across space and time. :)
it is great how he promote our music all those years, Welldone Chuck
I wish I had known about Chuck and Stars End when I was younger..I've missed so much..but now..even though I'm late to the party..I'm enjoying the music AND all the new artists that carry electronic music into the future...I think it's timeless music.
I have been listening to Star’s End since the late 70’s and and attending the The Gatherings concert series for about 30 years. I really enjoy the music and I pretty much learned about it from listening to Chuck.
A nice-to-see spotlight on Chuck and Star's End.
I converse with EM people from Germany and the Netherlands and they all know Chuck and Star's End. Sad though for them showtime is about 6:00 or 7:00am Sunday morn. Actually now that I think about it, waking up with 5 hrs of Star's End ahead of me doesn't sound like a bad way to start my day!
VERY NICE! I just happened to see this in my email & came by now to view this. EXCELLENT!
Thanks Ken!
Kudos to Fox29 for profiling Chuck. He deserves all the props in the world as an avid, tenacious promoter of electronic music--both his own music and others'. He's brought joy to my life...I don't think you can ask anything more than that. (I can only hope that he has a protégé so that Stars End can continue for another 6 decades 😊)
CVZ is a national treasure! If you can make it to 1 AM on a Saturday going into Sunday…
Been tuned into to stars end since the mid90s
