  • Hello you lovely lot!
I may have accidentally purchased something I didn’t need but wanted! Whoops!
In all fairness it was in the Friday Jackson’s sale and had been on my to try radar!
Join my whilst I swatch these delicious looking paints and create some artwork with them! I was really surprised by the quality especially because of the format of these paints.

The wonderful thing about this set is they don’t have much colour shift. I prefer to use these to most other gouache for that reason, they are really nice to work with.

I love watching your videos because your pieces always go through a kind of "ugly stage", but you always have the vision and confidence to keep going and it turns out amazing!

At least you use what you buy ^^' I went on a little stress - relief shopping spree (the medical situation here in Germany really drives me nuts at the moment) , got the whole set of Koh-I-Noor Gioconda soft pastel pencils, a set of water-soluble tinted graphite pencils by Staedtler and a box of clay crayons - and I honest to God don't even know when I'm going to have the time and mind set to actually sit down and actually enjoy trying out the stuff that I got myself. Nevermind actually creating something with it. So, you're not alone in being weak, I know what you're going through ^^'
Also, love the expressionist energy and colour palette of your foxy pal there, that's an awesome artwork 🥰

Thank you LunaBianca ❤️ I try to lol! Sometimes it's good to have a little spree to relieve stress. These will hopefully last a good while too. Oooooooooooh I like koh I Noor pencils. I imagine the pastels are just as lovely 😍 I've also noticed the steadtler tinted graphite (I need to use my Derwent ones up first lol) I've also seen the clay crayons too 😍 I do understand about not having enough time! But don't feel bad about it. These treats do not expire 😊 even if you just Swatch them to start with. Enjoy your goodies ❤️❤️❤️

I should go to bed and then I saw this video - and had to watch it as I have them at home as well. I like them - but hated the white in the tube as mine was quite crumbly. So I replaced it with high quality schmincke horadam white gouache (well two, one for making the colours more opaque if necessary and the other for bright white).
I prefer using them to gouache in tubes as it’s quite comfortable.

I got me Caran D'Ache Gouache in tubes. They are somewhat hard to find, but I got lucky in Spain. I like my watercolors in tubes rather than pans. You can always fill some in a pan or a palette. It bothers me less when colors get contaminated with other colors, because I can get fresh dollop from the tube if need be.

Plus needing is relative😂😂😂 looooved the fox!!!!

Santa bought me these last year, he did use my bank card but I forgave him. I've only used them a few times, three kids makes things difficult. I'd seen several reviewers saying how the amount of pigment surprised them, yet when I got mine I was still surprised anyway 😂 the fox looks awesome and I think the black worked well 👌

Stunning Mr Fox and well worth you moment of 'weakness'. I love watching your art appear - seeing where you apply the colours and the effects you create with the brushstrokes. Thank you soooooooo much for sharing . (Please continue to be 'weak' and succumb to art supplies)

I love all of the Caran d'Ache products. It is amazing quality and worth its money..
I can see how smoothly the paint 'runs'. And yes very surprising how flat it dries. Thank you for sharing this! I definitely will keep this art supply in mind 😊
Love the fox. The splashes make it more expressive, alive and loose 😃❤️

Lovely painting, the colours are so vibrant and those paints look great. Now I want to get them too to try. I've come to the conclusion that you can never buy too many art materials. As long as you use them, then they are definitely justified. 😀

Thank you KAM ❤️ I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊 I do recommend these. Travel friendly too as there are no tubes (excluding the white) although the tin is quite big there shouldn't be anything leaking. I'm completely with you on having lots of different supplies to try! I don't feel bad now hehehe

Hi Katy love your videos but just a FYI it's pronounced gwash, I've recently bought these and loved them. I'm not a fan of carran d ache as I've tried pencils and thought they were over priced and not that great but do like these. LOVE your fox

Thank you Sue ♥️ I'm glad you enjoy watching 🥰
I don't have many of the pencils (just the odd ones in subscription boxes) but thank you for the heads up. I don't use that medium all that much so a big splash of cash has been saved there 😉
I must admit I did enjoy how vibrant these paints were and it's nice to have a version of this medium that isn't in tubes.
As for the pronunciation of Gouache? It's a bit of an odd one to be honest as it's kinda both lol.
My art teacher at college taught me how I say it ( I also think with my accent exaggerating the "oo's" probably makes it sound even more odd too lol)
I've watched art documentaries where I've heard it be either one or the other. I think it's a regional thing 😁

@@sueallen952 oh wow! That's mean! I wouldn't have gone back either!
I felt like that a lot with some of my university tutors. Some could be quite horrible and I reached the point of not caring what they said anymore. Took the fun out of art for a good couple of years after graduating.
My college tutors were fantastic though. I did most of my learning there and have wonderful memories unlike university which I thought was a waste of time and money.
Accents, dialects and pronunciation aside we all know we're still painting with the same delicious paint. I find it quite interesting how many different ways it's pronounced 😁
