I gotta ask, what's your opinion on the unequal headers that were made for the FA20? Of course through years we have known that the unequal headers are a inefficient design but due to the high demand for "rUmbLe", do you think it'll negatively effect the engine based on your experiences?

I know this is an older video, but any information on the fa24?

How much power will those manley hbeam rods take? On a stock block with maybe 86.10 oversized bores? Is it safe to run 500hp with that setup?

I know this video isn't about this subject but I was just curious what head gasket do you recommend for someone with a fully built fa20dit bigger turbo and port injection. Alot of people say to use oem but I dont think oem can handle the level I'm trying to go to

Grimmspeed has new FA20DIT head gaskets, 3 different options to choose from as far as thickness.

@@dhendricks876 i ended up going with JeProSeal headgaskets custom designed by OutFront. Grimmspeed was is to new and i got to nervous to run them haha

What does he mean when he says the engines have birthdays? He says that’s in quite a few videos about Subaru’s - maybe not this one..

We love Subaru, but the factory pistons are practically useless for performance. If you are thinking of buying a WRX or an STI expect to rebuild the engine with these heavy duty Pistons and Rods at the start. Don't forget to discard the factory oil pickup tube and replace with a heavy duty as well.

John Perricone seems like the FA20 is okay up to 300whp.

John - how do the oil pick up tubes fail ? I have a 02 WRX with 120K on it....came here looking for wisdom - like can I run it longer ot should I rebuild it while it is out of the car ?
