Thank you for this extremely educational video on Total Quality Management, Nursing Audit, Peer Review, and Quality Management. TQM may be defined as a management system for a customer-focused firm that includes all workers in continuous improvement. It integrates the quality discipline into the organization's culture and operations via the use of strategy, data, and effective communications. Nursing audit comprises analyzing the quality of nursing services to see if they match the needed level. Peer review suggests that the nursing care provided by a team of nurses or a single nurse is assessed by people with the same rank or status in accordance with accepted standards of practice. In order to reduce, if not completely eliminate damage while improving patient care and results, systems design, policies, and procedures are administered through quality management.

I was first pretty unfamiliar with the concept of a nursing service audit, but as I watched the video I came to understand that it is the process of evaluating nursing services in the past using nursing records. It is a vital tool for quality control that may assist with mistakes, patient safety enhancements, and making sure that nurses are providing the best treatment possible. It is made up of committee members whose duties center around promoting patient care via systematic assessment and improvement of the caliber of care provided by the nursing service staff. Auditing records is done using both contemporaneous and retrospective techniques. In general, a contemporaneous nursing audit is carried out while continuous nursing care, and a retrospective nursing audit is carried out utilizing the patient's record following release from the care facility. Going on, peer review is crucial to the nursing profession since it serves as a tool for assessing the quality and quantity of nursing care while also taking into account its shortcomings in light of best practices.

It is composed of members in a committee in which their roles revolves around enhancing patient care through systematic assessment and improvement of the quality of care rendered by the nursing service personnel. Two methods are are used for auditing records: retrospective and concurrent. Basically, a concurrent nursing audit is performed during ongoing nursing care and a retrospective nursing audit is performed after discharge from the care facility, using the patient's record. Moving on, peer review in the profession of nursing is important since this is the mechanism that is used to evaluate the quality and quantity of nursing care where it considers the strengths and weaknesses of nursing care based on practice standards.
