In my experience, Taurus customer service has been excellent. First, they actually pick up the phone and answer your call. Second, they resolved my issue professionally and extremely fast. I sent personal notes to Taurus thanking them for their high quality staff members and their terrific customer service.
Good to know, luckily I haven't had to engage their customer service for the G2C. My only complaint is the trigger breaks a little too far back but it's a very minor complaint.
The best firearm customer service is the one you NEVER have to call.
@@jeremyd.2156I think we all dislike the trigger but it’s a good value. Night sights, stainless guide rod, steel slide plate make it great.
I wouldn’t know about any of this you know why??
My g2c just works no matter how bad I treat it it loves me regardless it is now my favorite carry gun over the Glock or smith I could carry
Good to know since I have a G2C.
+1 for the Taurus Judge review
+1
I'm really happy that you take the time to review the Taurus pistols. Most people write Taurus off as a dumpster fire, but their recent models are viable budget CCW options.
I called service on a 380 I'd had over 15yrs. It stovepiped every round, couldn't break it down and trigger pull was over 10 lbs. No questions asked they sent me a shipping label and 4 weeks later called and said it was unfixable so sent me a g2c as a replacement. I was very pleased.
Got my Taurus tactical for $295 after rebate. This is the absolute the best gun under $300!
I have a G3C, and the pin below the safety started walking out.. I filled out the warranty form online, and they mailed me a shipping label, and my gun was fixed in 2 weeks. That's with shipping both ways to Georgia from idaho... no issues.. really good service.. no complaints here.
Yes.. great service... no complaints.
@@needlamp2147 Sometimes shit happens with guns and accessories. That's regardless of brand, seen it happen to a lot of high end stuff.
What matters is how the company responds to and addresses it.
Buy a Glock. Customer service is a moot point.
My wife has carried a Public Defender since 2010, so it's not like I don't know Taurus.
@@CaptainCraigKWMRZall machines break. My last G19 cracked where the trigger pin is. Replaced with a brand new lower in about a week. But it failed.
@CaptainCraigKWMRZ my gramps had an absolute circus with glock customer service years ago. Personally I don't like the feel of glocks but think they're a great design, but gramps was a glock aficionado. He had a brand new, right out of the box G19 that would lock up every 3 rounds, no matter what you put in it and after exactly 3 rounds nearly every time; there was a defect on the slide lock that would catch the slide and had rubbed a notch onto the inside-bottom of it.
Long story short, Glock was trying to say that it was operator error or that he damaged it while modifying it (which he was known to do but hadn't touched this one yet); he had to drive the 3 hrs to Milwaukee to have a Glock appointed gunsmith look at it and determine it was manufacturer defect in order for them to pay for everything under warranty. There's a lot more to the story, but needless to say, it was FUBAR, lol
Out of the six years working behind a gun counter, with dozens, if not hundreds, of Taurus' sold, I can say the two I sent in for repair took only about a month to get back. As for the trigger, treat it like a two stage trigger.
I pulled the first few shots on my G3c until I concentrate on trigger pull while someone handed me their Shield Plus which I was able to get right on target for all 3 shots. I started my range session with the other person's Shield Plus. After my G3c I took 3 shots with my Canik Rival. All three were on target. Getting a proper trigger pull when one has XL sized hands with long fingers is difficult in my experience with any of the G3 series firearms.
Hell yea George Bush did 9/11.
That’s because the same people that buy a Taurus they are broke to buy ammo and consequently they don’t shoot it enough to see all the problems they come with. 😆
I have own maybe 3 Taurus handguns and sold them all.
Had a P24/7 with awful magazines and the customer service had me for about a year and a half telling me that mags were back ordered. After having a very heated argument with them they sent me the replacement magazines and I sold the gun right away. After that experience, I don’t think I will ever again buy a Taurus.
The cheapest gun I would trust and recommend is the M&P lineup. My 2 cents.
@@clima The G2 and G3 series of Taurus firearms are much better than older Taurus firearms. Mec-Gar makes the 15 and 17 round magazines for G2 and G3. Mec-Gar makes magazine for Beretta, Sig, SAR, Canik and others. They are consistently good magazines. Taurus makes their own 10 and 12 round magazines that use the same design as Mec-Gar. The Sig 226 18-round mag works with the G2 and G3 series with no modification. Many are happy with their G2 and G3 series handguns and have fired thousands of rounds without issues. I also like the TX22 but Taurus has has issues with defective barrels. I don't like the cheap plastic TX22 magazines. I had one replaced under warranty after it caused feeding issues.
@clima hey I had a 856 Taurus the firing pin fell out one day lol. BUT they did give me a new one in like 3 weeks from the time I sent them the broken one til I got the replacement
I absolutely love my G3 tactical. I put a lakeline recoil kit on it with a lakeline threaded barrel (i use the threaded barrel that came with it for suppressed shooting) with a lakeline mini-comp and a cheapo truglo red dot; it's an absolute tack-driver, shooting 1.5 MOA @ 20 yds all day long, and with that mini-comp its like shooting a .22 lr. I'm thinking of getting the aftermarket trigger they sell in the taurus shop, its ugly but from the reviews it seems like its a bit crisper.
Oddly enough, the trigger on mine has been really nice right out of the box, whereas my brother bought one (since he liked shooting mine so much) and his trigger is spongey with a longer uptake. I never was a taurus fan until i bought this and my tungsten-coated model 605 limited edition 3in barrel--its a bit rough with 357 ammo, but 38 sp is an absolute blast to shoot out of it.
The CZ P10C OR can be had for $350 right now from our favorite SC based company... add to that a CZ factory rebate of $50 and you have just about the best deal in firearms.
Agreed - P10F or C is still the best bang for your buck - bombproof build quality, great trigger and superior reliability - but I only have Czech made ones - can’t speak to the US versions
I agree 100%. If I had the money I'd buy one. I regret selling my P10-C and it wasn't even optics ready. What a great deal.
That’s a great deal. Wow.
Their website says (Only valid for purchases from July 1st - December 31st 2022)
Somebody tell me the website
Just picked up the G3c today after watching your reviews. Couple mags through it with no problems and if it goes on this way I'm super happy with it.
I picked up a used g3c as my first firearm, and nearly 2000 rounds later i own 3 more guns and the g3c still sits in my holster, perfectly functional with maybe 2 malfunctions total.
I have 3,650 rounds through my g2c with 0 malfunction
I just got a Taurus Tactical and it the grip and handling feels amazing.
I have a tx 22 and the striker broke. Taurus answered the phone, was super friendly to me and fixed my gun no problems... my experience is the customer service is great.
I've had my G3 for over a year and a half and I LOVE IT!!!!
I used to carry a G3C before I sold it and picked up a PSA Dagger. Put about 800 rounds through it without any problems. Really glad Taurus fixed their past issues.
Is the dagger better?
Yep
But why better?
I got both the g3c and the full size dagger for 570 bucks I enjoy shooting the g3c more but the dagger has a very nice grip and fits my hand better, the dagger has a horrible trigger in my opinion.
@weimarutube IMO. It can use almost all glock parts so you can make it have a nice trigger or sights or add a crazy slide the options are limitless. As for the g3c they r not bad guns ( I had a pt 111 g2 same as g2c just before the name change) but you're kinda stuck with what it is
i own a upgraded G2C/G3C toro slide hybrid that i put together it has over 15,000 thousand rounds with no breakage yet - i have sold over a 100 G-series not one came back with any problems its been 6 years now customers happy with no complaints - also got the G2C 40 cal both of my G-series got the M-carbo spring kit in them now trigger 30-40 smooth and a better reset - GREAT JOB BY M-CARBO
Been carrying a g2c everyday now for bout 3 years many different situations like hiking and deep woods camping as well as just edc had no problems at all have well over a thousand rounds of all types. Absolutely love it!
I've been happy with my Taurus G3 TORO and GX4 TORO after your reviews on their base models. I've found them worth it for the $350 I paid for each of them, leaving me the extra money for red dots and holsters for them. I did have one of the optics plates break on the G3 from not being properly secured but customer support was nice enough to quickly send out a replacement for free.
You can get a CZ for that price now
I'm so grateful for the suggestion for your channel because it's one of the best channels for firearms and certainly gets me excited with every notification.
I love that you review such a wide spectrum of firearms
Shot a frienda G3c and was impressed. It was very accurate for me.
Their customer service is excellent. I purchased a used Taurus 856 on armslist, and after like 50 rounds had issues with the cylinder locking up. Sent it back to the manufacturer, it took a month because they had to order parts from Brazil. After that they told me that couldn’t fix it, and asked if I got it new. Told them I got it second hand, and the guy offered me a new model free of charge. Came in a week.
Taurus. The hit or miss company.
Edit:
Awesome that they're picking up on putting the stuff you need in the box.
Nice to see them doing that.
And I'm down to see the new Judge
I have two Taurus models currently and had an old model 66 revolver previously. Never had any problems with any of them. Very good accuracy and they eat any ammo I've used in them so far.
It's my opinion, if you've been in the gun scene for a while, that everyone learned a lesson from Springfield's XD line where they marketed "THE GEAR" that came WITH the gun. "It's my gun in a box! 🎶" Canik followed this and it put them out front of the budget gun market. Now, it seems that Taurus is seeing the same thing. If you put a "work horse" in a box with all the bells and whistles at a $400 price point, It's hard to say NO.
The miss company
Taurus is awesome now, dummies
I have a G3C and I've shot it a few times. I personally love it.
Thank you for this review. I've been thinking about getting this gun. I am looking forward to the full 1000 round review
I've owned a G3 for a few years and have put quite a few rounds thru it. It eats everything i feed it and never jams. The trigger seems to have lightened up on mine and the reset is not bad at all. Not as good as my canik Tp9 Sf but i shoot my G3 as good or better than the Canik but I haven't had the Canik that long and the trigger is better so I expect to be shooting it more accurately in the near future. For the price the Taurus is a great option.
I have G3, G3C and TX22. Great pistols. No problems with any of them. Couple thousand rounds downrange with each.
Thanks, Chris and Mrs. Outlaw~
I grabbed this about a year ago when it first dropped. For the money its a solid piece. Good right out of the box, install red dot, holster and G2G.
Solid offering from Taurus and I'm not a Taurus fan. Thanks for picking this one up to share with us.
I really liked the G2C and bought one when they came out. I have since sold that gun but I own a G3C, a G3 and a G3 tactical. I am very used to the triggers so I shoot file with them. I love the platform and I have found them to be 100% reliable.
The amount of videos you have uploaded the last few days 👍🏼 keep it up
2nd posting attempt, YT apparently made the video private while I was watching it...
We can disagree on the need for the mag sleeve, but agree on the design of it. :) That magazine, with the proper sleeves, will fit and work perfectly in any of the G2/G3 series and the TH9 series. I have a G2C and a TH9c and they both take the G3 mags - I use the G3 15rnd mags in both.
Trigger, yeah, agree 110%. Both of mine have long-ass trigger pulls all the way to the frame which can be an issue for people with longer fingers or larger hands. The TH9c is crisp-er than the G2c, but still spongy compared to others. And the G3 is supposed to have a better trigger than the G2c.
Accuracy, more or less what you said. Get used to it, and you can get good groups. I don't use an optic, just irons (fiber front, blacked out rear) and at 25 feet (not yards, I'm not that good nor will I ever be) I can remove the center of the target with either of these after 50~75 rounds and taking my time.
Is it a great gun? Not when compared to a CZ or Canik. But it's very good for the price.
I love seeing these on your channel. I have a G3 and a G3c both have adjustable triggers and a couple other things to clean up the trigger performance. I love them. I've wanted to get the G3 Tactical. I just put a trigger kit in my P07 so that needs a few hundred more rounds now. I'm looking forward to seeing your 1k round review. I have had really good luck with my Taurus pistols.
Love my GX4 T.O.R.O, I'll getting one of these at some point as well.
In my experience, I have the g3c and it's a beast as far as reliability and just the right size for conceal carry, just enough kick and love the 17 round clip but I am with you on the little sleeve that pinches your skin. I super glued that sleeve so no more sliding. Also the sights needed a little adjustment out the box but really a great first time fun buyers choice for me.
Two of my guns are Taurus pistol’s. Haven’t had any issues with them yet, the G3 has had 1000 rounds through it and the G2s has had about 500 rounds.
Nice to have that! I wish i could try that pistol too!
The cheaper the gun the more important the 1000 round review because people of lesser means may have no other choice and need to know if the gun is reliable.
Very good point.
Well my Taurus g2c has 3,650 rounds through it with zero malfunctions
I've had a couple taurus's over the years and have liked them but I've never had to call customer service. Great video, this is one of the firearms I'm looking at for a carry option.
Playing in the same waters as Canik and CZ. That’s tough competition but it’s great to see more options.
The Taurus also has the advantage of not being made in a hostile country like Turkey.
Yes for the judge. Always heard it’s all hype can’t wait to find out for sure one way or the other.
Finally..I was waiting for you to review this ..
And ithe color is called Freedom Brown btw..
Thanks Chris! Best firearms channel on CZcams
Something to note about using the doublestrike feature for dry fire practice, the trigger pull is not the same. You're essentially practicing a different trigger after the first pull
Big deal
and how, Mr. Engineer, do you exactly expect them to manage double strike with the exact same trigger pull? Do you understand how striker sytems work? Obviously, since it's so easily doable, with reliable consistency, it's exactly why you see every other company doing it too. I mean, duh.
@@triGRIMM I don’t. The guy in the video said you could use it for dry fire. I’m saying you shouldn’t. That’s it. Not a design flaw.
I found an optics ready CZ P10C for under $400 the other day....couldn't resist
Love the TX22.
I own a g3c and a gx4 , I shoot a lot! Never had any issues , ordered some night sights for my gx4 and had slight issue , nothing major but emailed their customer service and they got back to me same day ,and issue was resolved in the same week , so nothing but positive here!
I have 3 Taurus G-series pistols and have no issues to date. I can see me picking up the one that you are reviewing…. Thanks for your reviews
Canik for the win 🏆
My PT111 G2 has rocked for years.... primary EDC.. and I have choices... great pistol and it takes SIG P226 MAGS
I have a PT 111 G2 millennium and it has been flawless. My wife loves shooting it. Hit and miss though because I bought the next version for myself. Took it apart and cleaned after purchase and took it right back and bought a Sig p365.
I like the mag sleeves on the Shield Plus mags my Equalizer uses. They clip in though, like you said.
My old gunsmith carries a compact G3. I may get this for him with a red dot so he can modernize.
Tip: Rubber cement to secure the mag sleeves.
Second go round since YT made the video private on the first.
“It’s $350 you’re not going to get a 2011”. Agreed, however you can get a CZ p10c OR for that money that has one of the best striker fired triggers out of the box. It also has great ergos with adjustable back straps, ambi controls, better/more consistent QC, and no need for those mag sleeves. The Taurus has the edge in including optic plates though.
Either way, I’m glad to see more competition/options on the market. The p10 is just such a great value right now it’s hard to recommend anything else for the same money imo. I’m excited for the 1kRR though to see how it holds up.
The first time I shot this gun it was over 8 yards, the very first shot I could not see and I thought I missed the target entirely , I was like this is not good :( , I got closer to the target to see and I found out that I hit the bulls eye perfectly that it doesn't show from far lol, other shots were a group withing one inch. nice gun for the price and good value for the money.
I carry a g2c daily but have also added a glockenspiel style trigger and stainless guide rod/spring assembly and have never had an issue, but also don't have $600+ to drop on an edc pistol. Also have a S&W sd9ve for home defense with same mods and never had an issue either
YESSSSS DO THE NEW Taurus Judge I was thinking of getting one and haven't seen the new one yet!!!!!!!
Wish more people would give the IWI Masada 9S (sometimes referred to as the Masada Slim) a shot. Optic ready 14rds and very reliable at a $400 price point
Try the Tisas PX-9 Gen3. 18 and 20 round P226 mags, optic ready, glock sights, uses XDM holsters, great trigger.... And mine was $240 at Bud's. And they're still cheap today but not as cheap as they were. Around $289 today as I post this.
@@hankcarlock great gun!
I was just in the shop looking at one of these and one of their ARs. How many rounds have you put through yours so far?
@@hankcarlockhave a px-9 myself. Only ~150 rounds through it but has been reliable! Only one light strike but I blame it on the ammo (same problem in 4 other pistols with the same ammo, aac 115 grain). The tisas is comfortable to hold, good recoil impulse, great iron sights, good trigger, although the reset is a little weak but I had no issues with short stroking the trigger so not a big deal. Definitely a great pistol for a great price (mine was $300). Tisas makes good stuff. I also have a 1911 stingray in 9mm and it's been flawless. I definitely would recommend tisas over taurus.

G2C in 40 caliber. . .$259@Sportsmans Warehouse.
Optics, Rail, 10+1 etc.
And I just bought a werkz holster yesterday too
Taurus has improved so much compared to what they used to be. They're not bad anymore and some of the most reliable cheap guns on the market.
I take a small rubber band and put right about the grip sleeve on the mags of my S&W M&P 9 compacts and it works well.
I have owned my G3C for two years now, with no major issues.
Seems like a great first pistol for competition
Gz, the 3 and G3C are around $250. I just fell in love with the TX22.
I've had a Taurus G3C for a good year or two now and it has proven quite reliable. I had some extraction issues for the first few dozen rounds, but then it smoothed out and has been reliable ever since. I have also modded it by replacing the slide, barrel, and spring from the G3 since they are compatible. I also bought a laser module that fots around the trigger guard. I recently picked up a couple of 17 round mags and i have a different grip plate that is much tighter than what was shown in the video. My only downside is that I put a cheap $100 red dot on my gun and it broke within two trips to the range. I'm currently saving up to grab a holosun red dot.
I like the taurus g series they have come a long grate video thanks
I like the looks of this Taurus. I just got rid of a Taurus TH9 because I didn't like the ambidextrous mag release. You had to press the left side all the way in breaking your grip to get it to release, the right side seemed to release easier but I'm right handed. And it had a false reset, you had to release the trigger out until it clicked a second time. One of my first pistols was the Taurus PT111 Millennium G2, which I still own and like.
A good training method is to just do a lot of shooting with double-action revolvers. Getting used to letting the trigger all the way out will help with shooting so many different guns.
Same money as a canic tp9 easy choice for me😮
You can find the newer Mete models in the $450 range, too.
Agreed..I love my canik's! I do believe they are the best 2A purchases I've made for price= value=quality! The G2. & G3 series have their role with people who can't afford something over $250.. I've have both and they have been reliable.. I enjoy them &won't be getting rid of them!
@@JaronActual paid $400 for mine.
I currently have the stock version of the g3. I got about 150 rounds through it so far no problems.
Reupload? 😂 I’ll watch it again, I like my Taurus G2c
I love me G3! It’s my EDC. I would like to see you review the Judge.
Yeah bro do the Judge....I love Taurus. The G2C is my EdC...I've never had any problems with it (knock on wood) its shot every kind of ammo I've ran through her. I did change the trigger from double/single to single only which just really blows my skirt up
Outlaw pairing with Werkz? Now there's an awesome combo!
I like the G3 well enough, but I think a Mete SFT still has the better value.
I bought 1000 rounds of Blazer Brass 124 gr. It has very high extreme spread and SD. Like over 400fps in spread. It groups ok at 20 yards. I have not shot it long range.
Great review
We hope that you will review the Turkish
Sar9 pistol
Very nice. I like the two tone earth color
Yes Taurus judge video!!
Love mine
I just picked up a CZ P10C OR with 3 mags for $350. They have become so inexpensive lately, best budget tier handgun.
I actually just got one today thing is basically an upgraded glock
These sell very well at the shop I work at!
My G2C with the aftermarket trigger has been phenomenal. No failures to speak of, and that trigger (from Keep Tinkering) is one of the best I have in my collection. I suspect a good dot optic and a trigger job would put the G3 Tac right up there with the comparable modded Glocks.
Got a trigger from them for my G2C as well.
So nice not having to run a marathon w my trigger finger while plinking ;-)
It certainly throws/ejects that brass out with some gusto!!!!
I just ordered a G3 from my local shop...unfortunately, the owner couldn't get this model from any of his distributors. It will join my G2C, G3C and GX4 in my collection. I've been wanting an optic on my pistol for some time, mostly for fun time target shooting, but not one shop anywhere close to me can get one that isn't a budget buster. I did, however just acquire a Colt Python with a pistol scope courtesy of my late father's will, as well as a Beretta 92FS and a .38 special S&W model 60.
I bought the Taurus executive 38 spl revolver (I’m the guy) and if you want to live in that niche, it’s fantastic. They’re not the same Taurus from the mid 2000s
I’ve been waiting for this & I’d love a review of the Judge, especially if it’s the executive grade. As the owner of a PT111 G2 & a Judge Magnum(Brushed Nickel), my experience with Taurus has been stellar. I get why ppl rag on them and it’s was well deserved. Since then they’ve made great strides to improve & I trust mine with my life. If this gun holds up to the 1000 round review, I’m definitely getting one. Considering the extra recoil spring for shooting suppressed & the 4 optic plates, it’s a good value.
I own "several" of their pistols....as for their CS it's not bad...much better than some high end gun companies. Only issue I had with them was getting info on a older (discontinued) pistol...
The Taurus is the only double action/single action striker fired pistol that I know of.
I had a G2c which I gave to my brother (I’m a Glock guy). Once I realized that I needed rock solid presentation I had no misfires nor malfunctions and I qualified on all the courses that I shot with it. It was my edc until I could afford a Glock 19 which is glued to me. My brother (a former Master of Small Arms aboard a Coast Guard ship that was often used in DEA interdiction, has not found any issues with it. The weapons need ALL of the energy of the slide returning to function, and slack in the grip kills it. At least mastering this gun will make you so much better on most everything else.
I have a pt111g2 I did have too send it back for repair it was fast and easy
Cool video thanks
My 709 slim, single stack version was same way, trigger caused random accuracy issues for me. 100 percent reliable but took 6 months to get a magazine.
Taurus g3 accepts the 20rd magazines from Canik. It works without a problem.
Another perk is that you can get the G2C and G3C in .40 S&W. Also the TH and THC if you prefer hammer-fired pistols.
Taurus just released the TH45 in 45ACP.
Canik is a better option. You can get optics ready SFT or a mete for 320-400. PSA has even had CZ p10 below 400
Were u finding that canik for that price optic ready.
@@vondrelleraven4380agreed.
@@vondrelleraven4380 All current model Caniks are optic ready. The Mete has the slide direct milled; no adapter plates needed.

Yes! I was waiting for this review because I am seriously considering this to go along with my M&P Spec Series. Just go full tacticool with my load out lol
The Galloway Precision trigger spring kit improves the trigger feel. I have to test it out at the range though to make sure I don't get light primer strikes.
