You talk about this gun not lasting as long as other's. Then say you'll do 2000rd update and meh, maybe 5000? You're the one that made the statement! Prove it to yourself and everyone else! Because personally I think your full of opinions!
@@hardtarget2359 Taurus makes budget firearms. He mentioned something about 20,000 rounds and he's probably right. The chances of a budget barrel, or any of the other internal parts making it to 20,000 rounds is highly unlikely. Of course that's just my opinion, but just like Honest Outlaw I'm giving my opinion on a CZcams channel that is all about opinion. Honest Outlaw always lets the viewers know that he has preferences when it comes to firearms. However that doesn't change the fact that he is probably the best shooter amongst gun reviewers on CZcams.
Should have invited that Taurus-apologist-lėsbian-gym-teacher Hop over to shoot with you.
His china doll complection, comfy shoes, buttery smooth voice and delicate hands would have really added to the experience.
@@joemo1033 I checked out his channel and I think hes a 12 year old
Hey outlaw. Did you do any testing with hollow points? Another guy named mark rogers made a video about the G3 and it had tons of failures with good self defense ammo. Was about to pull the trigger on this gun but his video is pretty concerning. Thanks
So many Taurus haters out there. Meanwhile Taurus owners are enjoying the best value in firearms, trouble-free.
BULLSHIT!
I fucked up and got the G1 MILLENNIUM and it's a MAJOR PIECE OF SHIT!
Can't even find any god damn MAGAZINES for it! Let alone trying to keep the piece of SHIT FIRING! And TAURUS will not even talk to me about the pistol with this so called "LIFE TIME WARRANTY".
Enjoy! Ive owned 4 Taurus firearms and only had one malfunction ever. Using federal 115gr ammo and it was literally the first shot out of a G2c never had one again.
@@dicemaster1996,
And what does that have to do with a pt 111 G1. By the time you get off 2 rounds you already have 3 or 4 in you, the trigger pull is so bad.
I won't buy another 1 because of the customer service.

That’s Glock durability right there.
I have that gun also but I’m calling bs on 15,000 rds
@@georgehayduke6717 yeah I feel the same. Somehow I doubt that round count claim. I am a g2c and G3 owner too. Not a hater.

Wow!!! Do u still have the same barrel, etc inside of gun?
Taurus definitely has a bad reputation to shake when it comes to automatics but the G2C and the G3 are doing their part to change people’s perception.
My g2s has been flawless thus far
They are not known for manufacturing quality parts. Good luck though.
John Payer Most folks perception but not the prejudice gun snobs. Haters are going to hate.
@ma tem for a budget gun I can live with that as long as safety and shootability is flawless, as it is with this and the G2C. Taurus has really stepped up their game.
I would add the TX22 to the list also. With that, the G3 and G2C, Taurus has put a shot across the bow of much more expensive brands.
3 years ago if someone told me I'd own 3 Taurus autos I'd tell them they were crazy. 709 Slim,G2C and the TX22. Love them all.
Considering the good reviews on the g3, you might own 4 Taurus autos pretty soon.
I'm thinking about it, Have you tried one yet?
@@fredmartan7906 Not yet... with the price around $ 225 and g2 mag compatibility , it's only a matter of time.. Similar to you, can't believe Taurus is making any semi auto besides the pt92 thats trustworthy..
Do the all shoot a 9mm bullet ?
The tx is a .22 but the G2 ,
G3 and the 709 are all come in 9mm
I'm a first time gun owner... after doing a little home work on a first gun to buy I chose the Taurus G3 because of all the reviews and the final decision came from the honest outlaw... and I was not disappointed... what a great gun never had any issues very reliable and easy to clean... shoots all my practice ammo and hollow points..shot out to sig Sauer self defense ammo ... pretty ammo ..in the future I might get the Taurus tx22.. great reviews on that pistol too.
I just bought one as well and it is my first gun also. Don't have it yet, 10 day waiting period. But how has it been treating you these past 3 months?
It's a great gun never had any issues...shoots all ammo I tried except for some cheap hollow points .
@@Thatguy-kn9xuhaha just got mine as well, waiting for Friday. how’s it been treating you ?
Congratulations on your new guns btw. I had this pistol before as my first handgun too. it was just the compact version.
There is not much to look out for, it’s built like Glock or S&W that can run dirty or run clean. doesn’t matter to me, I treat every firearm with the same respect.
Anyways for me the front sight post like… worked itself loose, but I contacted Taurus and they said this is an issue they remedy on newer models. Some loctite and it fixed that issue for me. Never had any problems since. For some reason, mine did not like hollow points until I fed it about 300 rounds. However many people say theirs runs hollows fine from the factory. Not for me. So be sure to check that too.
That’s everything I know about this gun . In hindsight I would have bought what I have now (m and p shield) but then I didn’t know if I could actually take care of these guns or not.
Taurus is getting better and better. Respect.
Taurus has greatly improved of its products. I usually carry a S&W , Ruger and Glocks handgun I'm surprisingly impressed with their quality of weapons. I've purchased their models Gc2, G3 and Th9. I use them either as for home, backup and/ or vehicle protection. These weapons might be priced cheaper than Glocks, but they perform just about the same level. I've put 500 rounds thru them without failure.
Which is better for you G3 or your TH9?
@IronWolfKirvis metal
@@kenshinhimura4656 go for the th9, g3 is amazing. But OML is the th9 accurate. I shoot better with it than any other handgun I've ever shot (like 20 different models of handguns!) Trigger is amazing and I'm quite a fan of it being da/sa. Only downside is that its less popular and doesn't use g3/g3c pattern mags
Just bought it a couple weeks ago from academy sports for $240 on sale. My first gun and shoots flawlessly. Been to range twice already and shot 300 rounds

Bought a G2C for the wife and a G3 for me. Both are great guns. They are our first pistols.
kyle brown Great first guns! My wife’s was the G2c and she still loves it
Nice thing is unlike the old Ruger p series that used to be everybody's first back in the day like me lol Ruger P91dc. The g2c and g3 as a first gun have many of the refinements that more expensive pistols have to the point where even guys that have higher end guns are liking them. They are great first pistols, but it's nice because they aren't just basic.
Bought a PT G2 and my now ex-wife decided to take it with her. Went out and bought a G2C for $20 less than we paid for the G2 wholesale. I consider that a deal. Picked up an extra mag while I was there, too.
How are you liking it after 6 mo? I Just bought the G2C and the G3 as my first 9mm.
@@alphadragongamingFTW love it. Havent had any miss fires through them and no other issues with them.
I just got one a few days ago! It fires nice, and after cleaning and oiling it up, it's nice and smooth. It's light, but it's my first poly gun. I like it! Was $265 out the door with tax in VA. Got a 15 and a 17 round mag.....two mags in all
@Noneya what? No.. beretta 92 and m9 take those mags. These take Taurus mags made for g series
@Noneya holy shit i thought they would be proprietary. I learnt something new today
Uh oh, VA! Your politicians aren't going to let you keep that 17 round mag. You guys just went blue and they have proposed sweeping gun ban and reform bills...
Stay strong in virginia you have to fight to not become like california.
@@oldskoolhoss7534 Yes they take SIG mags and Mec Gar mags and Beretta mags.
My whole perception of Taurus changed when I took a gamble on a Spectrum .380 ($150). It has been a fantastic gun and it is a lot of fun to shoot. They've come a long way.
Showed the .380 spectrum to my uncle, he shot the gun and was very interested in how comfortable the gun shot and that he could fit it in his pocket without any print of the gun showing. He calls it the “James Bond” gun 😂😂
I bought a G3 about 3 months ago, it came with the 15 round magazine installed. I thought it was supposed to come with two, but I only saw one. The clerk at the store and I both looked for the other, didn't find it, so I bought a 17 round magazine off the shelf. This morning, I watched this video, saw where it was "hidden" in your box, and looked in mine. I THOUGHT we had looked under there, but I guess we didn't because THERE IT WAS - the 17 round magazine. LOL!!!! Yes, I feel stupid now. But, now I have two 17 round magazines.
My G3C arrived today. I'm hooked on G series videos. I love how well reviewed they are. Terrific value. I had a hard time NOT ordering two or three of them. Might get this bigger version too.
Since the G3 takedown is the same as the Glock, your negative comment about it would also apply to every Glock made as well as to every other gun using the same system.
Yes, that is a knock on Glocks. Deservedly so.
Your reviews are one of the most complete and dynamic out there. Keep it up man
I love my G3!!! Fits great in my hand, operates easily, and it breaks down easy and is easy to clean. I am very impressed with this pistol and am very happy with my purchase. I want the TH9 now for comparison.
Great review, Dan. I bought this gun last October, cleaned it (really cruddy from the factory), took it to the range, and put a bunch of rounds through it. I’m 6’4” and wear 3XL gloves. This gun fits very nicely in my hand. Out of the box, it fired all 400 range rounds with no slide hang ups. Stripping and cleaning has been easy. When ammunition is no longer staggeringly expensive, I’ll try some of my Federal self-defense rounds at the range.
I bought this pistol after watching your review and I have to say....I’ve been quite pleased. Having large hands, I have trouble with compacts. It’s a good pack gun for on long hikes to far off fly fishing lakes.
Taurus's customer service and quality has gotten much better since they cleaned house and got new management and moved their operations to Bainbridge, GA
Thank you for this review and that of the g2c. When a pro shooter reviews a gun, the results make or break the choice for viewers. I just started purchase of both of these due to your reviews. Others were difficult to tell how accurate the guns really are, since none of the reviewers shot from the distance you did, which removed doubts about accuracy. And I'm a new subscriber.
Probably one of the best reviewers on CZcams. So good, I became a patron on Patreon!!
I bought this exact gun for $240 in Mississippi. Just a carry/truck gun and it's perfect. I 100% recommended the same review as this video.
I think you just sold me on this gun, definitely getting one. Appreciate your time making this video!
Bought mine last night as my 1st gun. They had the Hi Point 9mm on sale for $179.99 and they talked me up to this one. After watching this video I am extremely happy with my choice! Got I on sale for $239.99 plus some freebies.
I purchased this gun following your first video on black Friday. This is my first handgun, and I do not have glock/Sig money at this time. Very happy, thanks for your honest review!

Only about 400 rounds through the G3, but so far flawless. And I'm getting 3 inch groups at 30 yards. Mounted the Olight Baldr mini; makes an excellent house gun and also skunk/racoon/ gun for the rural ranch with the 600 lumen light and green laser. Very impressed with the pistol, no matter the price. Great review of the G3. Thanks!

I have to say I really enjoy your channel and your reviews, I am glad I ran into your channel.
Great video as always bro. Definitely looks like taurus is stepping up their game a bit. Good to see!
Thanks for being willing to say something good about budget brands instead of just being a snob. Over the years, I've owned a lot of Ruger and Taurus guns, along with my Glocks, Sigs and S&W's. I've had good experiences with both Ruger and Taurus.
Excelent review. I was waiting for your review to by my G3. A 2000 shots review update will be welcome.
I just bought a G3 I love it. No problems. Doesn't jam. 320 bucks in IN. Also got some 32 round mags. Pretty awesome.
I watched your 1st G3 video and thought it only came with one mag too lol. Was pleasantly surprised to find the 2nd magazine.
I have owned 7 Taurus pistols over the last 30+ years and have only had 1 issue with an old 24/7 pro 9mm which i returned to Taurus then sold. All others have been 100% reliable with all ammo I have fed thru them. My PT 1911 and PT92 are 2 of my favorite guns to shoot.
24/7 its the worst taurus gun, wich give taurus bad reputation
Thanks for your reviews. You are my favorite hands down. I just ordered the G3 online. Can’t wait to get it in
Nice Video, I have a G2c that I procured two weeks ago and absolutely love it and always will, the problem is your excellant video, because now I have to have a G3 lol!!! Keep up the good work. Subbed.
I’d be interested in both the 2k and 5k round reviews just to see what issues do or do not pop up. I think this is one of the best 2 gun channels on you tube. You can always count on a frank and honest review !
I have 5000+ rounds through my G3 and have only had three fails...this was more than likely because I was blasting off the 100rnds of Geco 115gr that I had and all three fails were at this time.
My Dad’s 1st gun back in the 80’s was a Taurus and he found a piece of lettuce inside the slide, they’ve come a long way.
Just purchased mine waiting for it to arrive looking forward to getting some rounds through it!! Thanks for the review!
Thank you. Excellent review as always. I’ll definitely consider getting one. Also, thanks for the heads up regarding the sights.
I have a G2C and I love it. My next gun is going to be the G3 definitely. Thank you for all your excellent reviews. Good job!! Regards from Tampa FL. 😎
Awesome review & a proud owner of the flawless Taurus PT111 G2. I'm glad that the G3 is also reliable and has improved trigger. I also use the safety to ride my thumb on & have never engaged the safety unintentionally.

I just bought this gun and only fired maybe 500 rounds out of it but so good so far. This is my 3rd Taurus and personally I’ve never had any issues at all. I own other pistols that I know are better quality wise but I wanted a carry gun I wasn’t afraid to beat up and I’m quite happy with it!! Love your reviews!! Keep up the great work!! 🙂👍🏻
I've put 300-400 rounds through my G3 and honestly I fall more in love with it the more I shoot it. The factory sights are kind of rough, I shaved my front one down originally and have no trouble hitting at 50 yards.
I've got close to or a little above 1k and he's my go to.a but better than my two more expensive guns
We actually had an extended conversation with one of our distributors who were first to get these that the guns only had one mag, they said thats impossible and couldnt find them either, then the customer who was looking at it who originally caused this question was scrounging around in the box, found it, and made all of us look like idiots. not our best day
I will look into this as well as the G2C, thank you for your review 👍
Love your videos no mater what you are doing , very informative , speaks clearly , always hits the important aspects of the product / tries to keep videos rolling / KEEP IT GOING
Haven't had any issues with my G3C yet. Now I'm interested in this G3 as well. Some of my buddies have pistols twice the price and seem to have more issues.
Just over 5,000 roads of steel case wolf and Tula through a g2c and very few malfunctions. Bought it for $225 just to see if it was going to be reliable. So far I been very impressed with the reliability and functionality. Ready to pickup a g3 to try it. Great channel. Thank you for your view points and opinions.
Colby Jack Love the honesty by saying “very few malfunctions” people always try to lie and say their guns never have any.

@@ADONISARROGAMING my g2c had an empty bullet casing get caught in between chambering another round, but that was the only time I had an issue with it. My brothers s&w .40 had the same issue. Just recently started watching your videos and I really like how you do your reviews.
My first gun was a SS .357 6in barrel Taurus Tracker. Loved that gun so much with its power, accuracy and dependability it was my go to home defense guns for over 15yrs. Layaway is the only way I can afford firearms. Or I gotta sell a toy and I don't like doing that.
Haha, glad I watched your video! I bought one of these this week and didn't realize there was another magazine in the box either... 17 round, too! Excellent!

Got coupla 9mm Taurus's, I like them, everytime I pull the trigger they go bang and hit the target..what more could you want?
Have had a G3 since about six months after release, broke 10,000 rounds 4 months ago and it is STILL shooting like when I took it out of the box. I work Armed Security and have two weapons I use as my Duty weapons, Springfield XDM Elite 4.5 9mm in uniform and my G3 when in plain clothes.

So many gun reviews out there. Yours are some of the better ones.
Thanks to your honest review I just bought my first pistol the Taurus G3C and I love it 🥰
It shoots accurate, affordable I say buy. Having another gun is a great thing. More the merrier.
Exactly
I just feel more comfortable carrying a gun with a manual safety. I train sweeping it off and rest my thumb on the safety lever while shooting. The G3 was my first handgun edc ccw purchase. I really like it.
Thanks for this video. Bought one (my first centerfire) after several reviews from guys like you. Another benefit of the double strike capability is laser bullet practice.
Seems like an unbiased honest review, thank you!
I love Taurus weapons. My Daddy bought me .357 pistol back in 1989 for correctional training. I was afraid of it at first. As I practiced with it I got very comfortable with it. I joined the Correctional Pistol Team and had a blast with it. I loved shooting it. I still have that pistol and dare anyone to touch it. It has a lot of sentimental memories and I lost my Daddy six years ago. It’s nice to know I have good memories.
After watching several other gun channels on here that have shot thousands of rounds without issue and have given the gun high praises, I purchased one and it shoots flawlessly. In fact, it shoots better than 2 of my Glocks (21 and 29SF) ever have. Taurus has finally gotten it right. Under their new CEO who came over from Walther, they are determined to make the best firearms for your money, not to mention they have opened a new manufacturing plant in Georgia to create hundreds of new jobs for US workers! As long as they back up their products now and keep the current trend, they will do great. Notice I said current because I too, am long aware of their past and the poorly crafted firearms they produced.
I just voted for you in every category I seen you in bro keep up the bad ass video we love ya 😎👍🇺🇸🦅
Thanks for making these vids. I do not fan boy to one type or manufacturer of gun. I like a gun because it is comfortable and reliable to shoot. I bought my 365xl based on your take of the gun and my own personal test of it and I'm glad I made the purchase. You helped make my mind up.

You can't use "long-term durability" as a con without knowing the long-term durability.
Also, it’s got a lifetime warranty

@@PatchesOHoulihansNutSweat I think the warranty is only for whoever registers it with Taurus.

The rear sights flew off my PT709 Slim too. Found them AFTER I replaced $$ with aftermarket of course. But I own 2 Taurus 9MM (Millenium G2) and I've been happy with both for the spend. Adding the Lakeline steel guide rod to the G2 was a big improvement.

I hear a lot of bad things about Taurus’ customer service, I’ve called twice when they offered Lifetime Warranty again to check the eligibility of my G2C & my PT111, both times were great experiences with short wait times. No complaints.
OMG mine is super accurate I mean I was so surprised!! As accurate or more accurate than my Glock 19X! I need to do a comparison video! It’s honestly becoming one of my favorite mid carry size guns!
Thank you sir, I am a first time gun buyer and concealed carry. Appreciate all of your info.
Thanks for an informative review..Just purchased a G3 for 250 with 2 15rd mags...Very impressive
I would love to see you review the Taurus TH9. Maybe do a comparison of it to the G3
The long term durability argument is moot, that gun comes with a lifetime warranty from a Taurus.
Hey for the price and what you are getting ? This is a great deal
I agree with you but I would add long term reliability is very important when the weapon is your edc side arm.
Well, you should think about what a company has to do before they decide it’s worth it to issue any kind of warranty. They’re not going to want to lose money, so if they issue a lifetime warranty, then I think you can safely assume that it’s going to be an extremely reliable weapon.
Not entirely accurate, there are plenty of less than glowing reviews of their customer service. That being said this gun is pretty much impossible to beat.
Coho, I had a PT 92 AF-D that I submitted for warranty that took longer than I would have liked, but I gave them a pass because my local dealer sent it in while they were in the middle of moving facilities. I guess consider this a glowing review in favor of their customer service, since they handled my issue cost free to me as quickly as practicality allowed.

I'm shocked by what a great value this thing is. I tested a G2 last night and bought a G3 today. Very accurate, love the trigger, great ergonomics. It's very fun to shoot. I can run it very fast and still have decent placement.. They even offer a $25 rebate till April 2022. Also the rear sights are no longer attached by a screw. Recently found your channel and subscribed. You do a great job reviewing, filming and editing! I have a question and need advice. I am in the market for a $300 first gun, first hand gun purchase. Would you recommend the Taurus G3 or G2C, Palmetto Dagger or something else including sales on M&P Shield? TIA!
They're more than truck guns and back up's. The G3 is a great EDC and range gun. I own glocks and m&p 2.0s and the G3 can hang with those brands with functionality and capacity. It's well balance and easy to shoot on target. Great home gun, EDC, truck gun, safe gun and range. I have no problem grabbing it on my way out the door. I will say the stainless version has a better appeal and durable finish than the matte black.
Lmao yoo you just made me feel so dumb I didn’t know it came with another mag I just checked my old box and it’s really in there
Same here, had my 3G for six months never k ew about the second magazine. Lucky I kept the box.

Y’all don’t check your boxes? 😅
Sometimes that 15 round mag doesn't feel right I just bought another 17 round mag no problems with this gun conceals well shoots well.would be a good gun even at 350.00
I had a set of Lakeline fiber optics on my G2C and loved them when they first went on but the point of impact/point of aim changed drastically and they kept coming loose. I put my factory sights back on after one trip to the range with those. The lakeline sights shot about 6 inches high and I confirmed it on paper and with a laser bore sight.
I got a g3c as my first gun and it’s been phenomenal even when it was stock, I’ve upgraded it since with lakeline barrel comp and guide rod, best value gun on the market keep it up Taurus
You can fix the magazine with "glue or a hair tie" ! 😂 Sounds about right Mr. Macgyver! Lol
Bubble gum?🤔
9
WTF is a 'hair tie'??...i thought he said "hair dye"...i kind of like the bubble-gum idea...anything to rough up the surfaces so the grip doesn't slide...if it slides off, there is nothing to hold the spring in place and all your bullets are suddenly on the ground--or some OTHER place where they'll do you no good...i'm not sure i'd GLUE it it place, but i WOULD do something...
@@1111pianoman The sleeve fits (slides) on the magazine above the base-plate it is "not" attached to the base-plate and occasionally the will slide up the magazine so that when you change magazines and attempt to seat the 17-rounder, it doesn't seat all the way if you're not watching.
