Hk is anti gun lol. (2a)
@@Kevin-oy8nl I accidentally bought a vp 40 for 400 thinking it was the 9mm. Best mistake I ever made.
If you don’t mind my asking what specifically changed your mind?
Nice. Can I ask how long the transformation took? And why you were anti gat in the first place?
Asking as an Australian that used to hunt pest species, back in the day.

I'm surprised the APX regularly flies under the radar on lists like this. Easily under $500.
Lol BCA AR 15?
Thank you
Where is the CZ P10 series? Still can't believe it didn't make the list. Its literally a gun better than a $600 Glock in every way but cost just a little over $300.

🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, I felt that.
Mrs outlaw sets him down in front of the Centipede video game.
Canik releases their newest model, The Canik HO Centipede.
Its a complete honorary Honest Outlaw set with a Fairbairn-Sykes knife with centipede sheath for bear fighting.
15 round magazines for the minimal number of centipede body sections/leg pairs since HO will want to shoot every section just to be sure.
I wonder where he would rate millipedes...

To Honest Outlaw:
I just turned 21, and on my birthday I got myself a CZP10C from the advice on this channel. I love it and couldn’t be happier with it. I put 700 rounds in it within a week and it’s as good as you say. On behalf of everyone here, thanks for your videos and advice!
Yeah buddy. The P10C was my first handgun, mostly because of Honest Outlaw’s recommendation. It’s been great. 👍
Congratulations! Next go for a P07 & you'll have 2 awesome CZs that take the same mags.
When I turned 21 my first pistol was the CZ P10c SR and with 3000+ rounds in it I can say it’s the best home defense pistol I own
I have the p10f. Love it. Its a good shooter. I want the p07 too.

In all seriousness I always appreciate people pointing out the more affordable firearms.
5-600 is affordable. i dislike the 1,200 dollar gun reviewers so much. most people are not gonna go that way.
@@GodsChosen69agreed, although ARs with aftermarket accessories quickly get into that realm.
EP9 and PSA Dagger makes for a decent pairing and ALOT OF FUN at the range!
I've shot really cheap guns and I've shot really expensive ones. As long as I focused on my fundamentals I couldn't see a difference in my ability to hit what I was aiming at the more expensive the gun was.
Imagine spending 2500 to get clapped by a G3 😂😂😂
There's just a completely utilitarian beauty to the P-07 and P-09; No frills, all business.
You should do a "Mrs. Outlaw's Personal Top 5 guns"...which are her personal guns...Show her some love man...
I would definitely watch that.
Thank you Chris I’ve had someone try to break into my apartment 3 times since I moved in and I need to get equipped asap this list is more helpful than you know
sorry to hear. personally i would start with the cz p07 or p10c as reliable as glock for less $ usually and can conceal well
@@crbalch1 Maverick 88. A shotgun is a much better home defense gun than any pistol. You only use a pistol in situations where it's not possible to use a long gun.

Carry gun + pcc combos might be an interesting topic.
Pretty straightforward concept.
@mattwalters6834 the concept is, yes. I'm talking brand combo comparisons. S&w pfc + shield vs xx+yy vs ??+!!

Love my p-07. Sold all my glocks and bought a p-10c also after getting my p-07. I am now a huge CZ fanboy and now own many CZ guns from pistols to rifles.
My FPC survived a house fire. My safe looked like it had been blowtorched on the inside. I thought I had lost everything in it.
Nope, several steel guns and the FPC survived.
Way to level up the torture test.
(Sorry about your house. I hope everyone is okay)
Can you guarantee that the heat treatment of the metals wasn't compromised? Just something to be aware of, don't want you losing any fingers or an eye.
@@devinm2806 Well, the plastic furniture didn’t melt off of it like two of my Glocks did. The round seats in a steel chamber. The bolt is also steel as are the springs. After checking all of that, my friend wanted to shoot it first. We are both still alive and unharmed.
Yes, of course I thought of that for every gun I thought was ok. The AR’s aluminum frame was what I was worried about the most. They didn’t melt, and after lots of cleaning they went bang as well.
@@devinm2806 Yes, that was my first concern.
P07 has to be on this list.
As it should be on anybody’s list.
I hope so since it was the thumbnail
Yes but the P10 series wasn't and that is a shame as it could easily be #1. P07 and P09 could as well.
@@shawnsanders9450 eh the P10 isn’t all that good. Plus striker fired polymer guns are getting boring

P07 makes the list again!! I've owned two P07's, i've shot three different ones. I have shot a considerable amount through all of them. I've never seen a P07 malfunction. Absolutely love it, my #1 top pick for edc. My one complaint is that they do not make them optic ready. For such a low price you can't go wrong.
P09 and P10 series are great firearms for less than $400 too.
The PSA Dagger/ar15 line and most of the stuff Canik makes are great for under $500.
PSA took me from owning just a 10-22 and a LCPII, to having at least one gun in every category. Their price to performance ratio is unmatched.
Be careful though, PSA is a slippery slope. Before you know it, your local FFL is preemptively ordering the PSA daily deals because he already knows you’re looking for that upper in every color.
Which ar15 did you go with from psa? Really considering them or radical for my first
@iandeschene6263 I did a blem Sabre lower with a Geissele trigger for $350 and a 13.7 Sabre upper for my GF first rifle. If you have the budget I would recommend that route. If not I did a Moe railed upper and basic lower for closer to a total of $400 for a spare range toy.
Love my PSA Dagger- worked better then my Glock 48
Be very leery of PSA and their machine shop guns ! I bought one of the optics ready Dagger models & from the first shot the gun was ejecting shells straight into my face . Took forever to reach a human at PSA. They finally took gun for inspection & immediately shipped it right back, saying, that gun has known ejector/extractor issues & they do not stock the part in question & will not be of any assistance in fixing it. They said(this is all in writing shipped back with the gun) I could buy the needed part aftermarket & good riddance ! Every word of this is true & can be verified by my local gun shop whom tried to help after shooting the gun & presently has the gun now !
"Every farm house has a shotgun", yes. I grew up in rural Texas. Yes, all of my friends in school, their houses had shotguns. Outlaw, pretty good list for sure. Good video.
Shot the shield plus this week at the range and loved it. As soon as I get the money I'm buying one to carry.
Good choice. Love the Plus for so many reasons

Thank You always for these videos! I have bought several Gus from your lists and they have been rock solid!Thank you for all you do for the 2A community
The Extar is truly the people's blaster.
First! I’ve been following you for some time. I have taken your advice on a few purchases. You have been spot on every time. Salute!
The SW folding carbine is one on my radar. It’s about 650 here in NC. I really am close to snagging one up. Thanks for the good video.
Really appreciate your view point on different firearms and the fact that if there is something you don’t care for you emphasize that it’s your opinion and give exactly what it is you don’t care for and NOT just “I don’t like it”. Then you give alternatives for those things. Thanks for what you do and keep cranking the content !
Great video as usual Chris! Love the practical advice, reasoning behind the rankings, and the humor! Plus the outtake at the end is priceless.
You don't even have to ask if we want a video for guns in the $600 or $700 range. I love your ranking and comparison videos and the explanations you provide for your choices. It's very helpful for me deciding what I want and what I'm willing to spend and not have buyer's remorse.
I love how the P-07 makes the list every time, Iv had one for over 4 years and I love it, carried it for most of the 4 years and now Iv built mine out to run USPSA matches, I actually have a tiny CZcams channel showing it and some other stuff I do 😅 if anyone is interested in seeing a P-07 ran slowly in a USPSA match. Awesome video!!!
I have a p01, how's it compare? I'm really particular and like metal frames, but the p07 has my eye...
@@devinm2806 it’s obviously lighter, little bit fatter too, but kinda the nature of polymer frame guns, trigger isn’t quite as smooth, but for the price point it’s a solid buy, get it and the cajun gun works trigger job and I’d take that over any polymer frame gun, I do understand the love of full metal frames though, actually my next buy will be a shadow 2
I always enjoy. You are really talking me into the CZ P07..
Another Great "best" list Outlaw!!! And once again, my favorite handgun makes the list, the CZ P07! I love my p07 so much I bought a second one in the Elite Package. Thanks for such great content!
I knew the Shield Plus would be number 1 before I even started watching the video 😅😅. I'm a big fan of the Smith and Wesson line, especially the 2.0 Compact, which is my favourite.
Mossberg 500/590 definitely my favorite. Got my first 500 at 15 years old and that was 40 years ago. That being said, I would caution anyone getting the pistol grip version stock. They suck!! We bought about 40 of them without t&e and it was and is a shit show. Being left handed I can at least still hit the slide release, my right handed coworkers don’t have that luxury. You can’t operate that ambidextrous safety I love so well without changing your grip. I made a comment to our former Sheriff about it and he said it was a training issue. I have taught shotgun classes, it wasn’t a training issue it was a design issue. That being said mine will soon be rocking a normal stick and the ergonomics will be back the way I love them.
Thanks for the videos, always great!!
I could not agree with you more. I got my first Mossberg 500 as an early Christmas present when I was 12. I got it early because deer season here in Mi falls in November. It has taken a lot of game over the last 40+ years and I keep it accessible for home defense. I shot a friend's 590 with the pistol grip and ran into the same problem. I am a righty and had the same issues you mentioned. I think I will keep my old 500, with the slide release and safety that I know and love. I agree that it is a design flaw/issue. In a life or death situation, something like that could get you dead.
If you look in the right place, you can also find the Springfield Hellcat for under $500. Both myself and my father own one, and they have been nothing but flawless. Accurate, durable, and reliable out of the box. One of the few guns that I'd argue doesn't need a break in. Fantastic little carry gun that, with the flush magazine, carries more than the 43X, 365, or Shield Plus
Thank you for another awesome video. Hopefully you stayed safe during these storms
I have a Radical Firearms AR15. Love it. Very reliable. It is the CA version, but I’ve put about 500 rounds through it without any issues. $500 in CA.
Picked one up myself about a year ago and I love it.
That Call of Duty Mossberg 590 was awesome! Your version is spot on!
Love the video! Eagerly waiting for the IWI Zion 15 1000 round review!
Love these videos! I'd like to see one at every $100 price range! Thank you so much for all your great content!
I love the MVP. I have the 7.62 x 51 and have zero issues with it. It uses AR-10 style magazines though for that cartridge. I shoot 168 gr. Accubond LR's at 2540 fps for a good 300 yard deer rifle. The subsonic version I make is the 175 Gr. Hornady Sub-X and it's popping out at 1080 fps. Works great with my .46 Hybrid SilencerCO suppressor.
Nice list. One gun I'd love to see you review is Girsan's compact Hi power.
Always so excited to watch your vids. Looking forward to the next one!
GREAT Video Chris. I was looking for another Shotgun. You nailed it for me with The 590! Thank You!

Great video. I really like your videos and presentations! You two are a great team.
God bless all here.
Got my CZ P07 2 weeks ago, love it so far.
Cajun gun works sells a spring kit with harder hammer strike pin for about $50. The pin helps for dry fire and longer wear ability. Takes it to a whole new level of accuracy. I love P07.
Honestly for the AR I'd say you'd be much happier saving up for the IWI Zion-15. That extra $400 makes it just so much more worth it compared to most of the other guns on the list that don't have as massive of upgrades for a slightly more expensive version.
That’s exactly what I did. Got the Radical. Upon receiving it, it had a Mil spec butt stock and commercial tube. Sent it back and got IWI Zion. Been reliable and love it!!
Just build your own. Can be done for under a grand and if you know what you're doing, one can have a very reliable and durable AR.
Good list! I have several 9mms but my S&W Shield (the original version) shoots great and carries well. I also love my P-07.
My wife and I love to watch to youre channel because of you and youre wife honest opinion. God Bless you both keep on doing the good work. Greeting from the Netherlands.❤
I love my P-07. It's my suppressor host and it's never failed.
Same here, the suppressor ready p07 is my second one & has had zero issues suppressed & unsuppressed. Love them!
I am 1:50 into this video and props to you for recognizing Glock as a leader in handguns. There are a lot of platforms who criticize Glock. It was my every day carry for years and with quality ammo NEVER failed. It ran dirty or clean. They are a fantastic firearms manufacturer.
I liken them to buying a Toyota. They just work. There are newer 'better' models/manufacturers which are better in some ways and worse in others.
I have never had the Gen2 Model 17 i bought in 1995 fail to go bang. (other than ammo related failure, like no powder, etc) I can't count the number of rounds fired in IPSC practise and matches in the last 29 years.
Theyre...not the leader in handguns....
It's bottom of the list for a reason. There are many many many glocks that are sold for less than $500. Only one on the list. Only a Glock super fan boy would reply with this comment. 😂
He rated a Canik above the Glock. But since it was first. Must be the best right?
@ryanguldbrandsen7672 It was my first gun and remains my only Glock. I've got tons of rounds through it and it has proven a very reliable platform. There is a reason US law enforcement agencies nationwide chose the Glock. It's a simple, easy to clean, reliable firearm. But I completely understand the ignorance of a Glock hater. You be you, sir.
@@rcampbell4967 I own a Glock 19 and a 43x. They are 100% stock. They're ok. The CZ P-10C and the P-10S I have are better overall shooters and are cheaper. My Sig p365 macro is better than both S and 43x. My M&P 2.0 is better than the C and the 19. The solitary thing I like more about the 19 and 43, is that the mags are very very very inexpensive and easy to find. You can buy 10-12 Glock mags for the price of 4 CZ, M&P or Sig mags
I don't by aftermarket products for pistols unless I don't have any other options. So, I'm sure I could improve the glocks to maybe be as good as the others. But then I could upgrade the others to be even better.
Parts upgrades is not a rabbit hole I want to find myself in.
I've had failures to feed in all of them besides the P-10S.
So, while I will never scoff at someone buying a Glock. This isn't 2010 or 2000. There are better pistols. Just as reliable and do everything better than Glocks for the same price or cheaper.
Thank you, this is one of those videos to share with everyone.
I hate bugs too, and I owe it to you for getting me into the P-07! It’s my favorite gun I own.
I bought the Radical kind of as a gamble given the price. Pleasantly surprised. It has run ,Ike a sewing machine.
My shield plus 13 round mags have all fit 13 +1 no problem. I use a speed loader to break them in, but they run great. The 10 and 15s also run perfectly. Love that pistol.
Great list! Love your videos. I, too, carry the Shield Plus. The only change I would make is to replace the Glock 43X with a CZ P10S. I didn't realize the S&W folder was available for around $500. Would love to see more videos like this.
Another great video! Can you do a list on top backup ccw's? Would be cool to see.

He didn't put in a Dagger either which is a great gun for $300. He didn't put a CZ P10C in and that's a great gun for $350. He was slipping on this list.
Good observations, I do love my bca and it can put two rounds into the same hole at 100 yards. The dagger is a good choice for ultra budget 9, and the p10, I love. P10s is imo the best value polymer framed striker fired handgun, with exceptional quality.
I have 2 bca complete uppers and the 16” runs flawlessly without any lube or cleaning (doing it on purpose) I’m now over 1000 rounds with it, with no issues and the 10.5 I’ve not shot yet but I’m expecting similar results. as of my posting of this comment, you can buy a complete rifle, the BCA bc15 16” 1:7 twist for $364.04.. Not being sarcastic, but can you buy a complete PSA rifle for that price? If you can that’s new-news to me. I know BCA is just as good as PSA.

@@vr6g608 just realized BCA and not BCM. BCA rifles are a crapshoot. Some you get are fine and others you will have to send back more than once. However, like I said the rest of the rifle is VERY hit or miss and you take that chance with a sub $400 rifle.

The MAC is the better variant of the Turkish 1911 DS
Couldn't agree more about the Canik. Own several highly valued Sigs like early 226 and 220 and high end HK. Have same model of Canik...tried to get a malfunction with odd ammo...handles everything, no problems...best pistol out of the box including the ones I mentioned...no break in period at all...reliable and accurate out of the box.
My p365 spectre comp coyote was my first sig and I absolutely love it. I have to say the xray sights are incredible the way they light up, it also definitely has use for people like me that don’t wanna rock a light and give away position but still be able to aim in the dark towards where they are coming from.

I shot the 365 macro, and I didn't like it. Then I shot the Prodigy, and I didn't care for it either. My M&P 2.0 with the overwatch precision trigger and Ed Brown threaded barrel blows them out of the water. But that's just my experience and opinion.
Was it under 500 with trigger and barrel?
@robertfandel9442 no, but I expressed my opinion anyway.
That's a completely different class of firearm. The 365 is a super thin concealed carry firearm while the MP 2.0 is a true duty gun. Not saying the 2.0 isn't better than a P320(what would be in its class) because I believe it is but your comparison is apples to oranges. The Prodigy to P365 is like apples to watermelons.
@shawnsanders9450 I didn't realize that, lol.
Hey Chris, love your videos, have learned so much from you. I blame you for turning me into a CZ snob! I got a steal from PSA on a 75 D PCR. I've since installed G10 grips and Cajunized. It's my favorite gun so far. Would love to see you do a video comparison of the various carry sized CZ pistols. Keep doing what you do best, and a big thank you for doing it!
Thx Buddy!! Good Review!!! Love My Caniks also!!
How the hell did you break a Comp M4?!!
Trying to kill that damn centipede! 🤣
🇺🇸
Another great video champ.
Great video. What do you recommend top 5 EDC for winter.
G43x Shield Arms magazine holds 15 in the same space.
I’ve found the psa micro dagger 15rd mags to be more reliable than the shield mags personally.
@@Bryan-1980definitely heard some reliability problems with Shield Arms mags.
@@melissasmess2773 I bought 4 of them. One worked reliably 80% of the time. The other 3 are in the trash. I’d rather throw them away than pay for shipping and restocking fees on a faulty product. The cheapass psa mags work 100% reliably so far. About 400 rounds through each one of them and still no problems 👍🏻
When was the last time a P365 was under $500?!?
Store near me is selling for 391 and I live in the communist state of massachsuetts
It’s on PSA right now for 499$ 😂 optic ready 9mm, edit: both the external safety and no-safety 365 are 499.
My local shop has a used one "like new in the box" for 399. Glad they're finally starting to come down in price a bit
Battlehawk just had em for like $440
Shieldplus and hellcat differ in what way? I got the cat however I'm a newbie and have yet to practice with my first three purchases.
A buddy of mine bought a BCA 18 inch 5.56 that came with a 1:8 twist, mid length gas system, 15” free float M-Lok hand guard with a couple inches of rail at the end for a front sight and a really nice muzzle device that reminds me of the battle comp. It’s been very reliable and he got at least 3x his moneys worth in my opinion
New conceal carry , got the mp shield plus shot about 300 rounds so far and love it thanks for the recommendation
Good video but nothing really new here. P365, P07, the S&W folding pcc. Outlaw is great and at the same time nothing that hasn’t been sent before
It’s the same thing the gun world itself suffers from. The gun industry doesn’t move as fast as social media does, so you either get info that’s repeated to death or tons of releases with small iterations that only have marginal differences.
Would you rather he put worse guns on the list just because they are different?
