- In the 29th instalment of my Metro Trains around Melbourne series we see various Comeng, Siemens, X'trapolis, and High Capacity Metro Trains' at various locations around Melbourne's metropolitan rail network. We start with some Comeng's at Coolaroo on the Craigieburn Line before seeing some Siemens trains at Spotswood on the Werribee/Williamstown lines. Afterwards we see some X'trapolis trains at Hawthorn where we see a rather unusual sight of three stopping-all-stations trains at the station at once. We then see a citybound Comeng arriving onto platform 2 at Newport while platform 1 was occupied by a steam train hauled by locomotive Y112.
Afterwards we see some Siemens trains at Jewell station on the Upfield Line, before seeing a X'trapolis train arrive and depart Croydon station. We finish the video with some High Capacity Metro Trains at Oakleigh on the Cranbourne/Pakenham lines. I filmed a number of clips there as I was hoping to use them for a Trains at Oakleigh video; but my filming attempts were foiled by the dead-on afternoon sun which meant that pretty much every shot was backlit. Not to worry; I've since returned to film new clips which I'll use in a future video when I get round to completing it.

Frankston service at spotswood. Very strange. Did metro extend the line from Frankston to Werribee.
yes, trains have been continuing onto other lines, trains from werribee also continue to sandringham
@@A_couple_of_cakepies oh ok
Amazing how trains have advanced since the Taits Harris’s Hitachi trains
7:17 is that Percy ?
You must get asked this a lot but, what do you use to edit your videos?
I use Sony Vegas 11 to edit my videos. I've been using it for nearly 10 years now so I probably should move on at some point.
@@ThebusofdoomFSX cool thanks man
Which which city has better trains than Melbourne? Thats right none
As a fellow Melbournian I disagree, there are plenty of cities with better rail networks. Eg: London, Paris, Moscow, Tokyo, and arguably Sydney.
why does metro trains not operate the comeng edi and choppers in one set anymore?
Choppers we’re withdrawn a number of years ago actually I don’t know why they don’t have mixed sets these days like they used to must of been because of the upgrades they did to the trains stage two and three period
