    Why is the audio all off?? Like it was dubbed over with a different song? Should have just left the live audio on Mr. Editor.
    Besides that, DAMN KENZO CAN HOUSE! Lol
    That reach between his legs was nuts.

    Ian killed it on that first round, but watching this a second time I guess Kenzo did better than I originally thought

    It's difficult to actually freestyle/battle when you're a choreographer ... there is no time to plan and think out moves to the music, you just have to dance and feel everything - I see why Ian seems lost in this battle - just food for thought.

      Just an excuse tho. Even Ian would admit that

      Ian freestyles all the time. he's being doing so as a kid. even tho he is a super skilled choreographer he freestyles all the time

    • @BboyBabyCAkes
      @BboyBabyCAkes Před 6 lety +11

      You need to have a good Freestyle in order to be a really good choreographer. That’s what a lot of people in the scene don’t realize. Too many people don’t go out to get down in the cyphers, battle, and allow themselves to think on their feet which is an essential part of being a dancer. If you don’t Freestyle then majority of your moves are probably only studio moves or from whatever you’ve seen on CZcams and you can’t expect to be original without developing your own moves and expanding your freestyle. I honestly believe there are too many dancers in the scene that are straight biters. Ian’s choreography is usually really good and his freestyles too but he just didn’t look like he was feeling the beat in this one. There are going to be times when you’re not feeling it, but that’s when you get tested the most. That’s why he continues to work on his Freestyle

    Why'd they play a barely qualified bboy track for these two smh

  • @GhanaboyPharmD
    @GhanaboyPharmD Před 6 lety

    im glad ian is stepping out and doing dance battles, he is more of a choreographer in my opinion, but he is ok in battles... he needs to get better if he wants to do this more and hang with the likes of majid, kenzo, waydi, kefton, poppin kite, tight eyez and so much more battle dancers...

    First track anyone?

  • @2kooldancin
    @2kooldancin Před 6 lety +30

    The first track is 7/4 time signature...that's nuts and incredibly hard to dance to. While I liked the song, that was super unfair to make dancers freestyle to. Everyone else had straight forward time signatures like 3/4, common and even 2/4.

    • @Key.Fantasy
      @Key.Fantasy Před 6 lety +9

      they both still dance to the same song so... why the fuck not. it made a really interesting round lol

    • @AlphaJacksCereal
      @AlphaJacksCereal Před 6 lety +3

      Nothing unfair about dancing to music. Lol you gotta change your rhythms and adapt. No spoon feeding. This song is perfect to challenge any dancer. Good ear..

    • @JamesMartinTan
      @JamesMartinTan Před 6 lety +1

      How did you get to the song being a 7/4 time signature?

    • @BANGA_TheRegMan
      @BANGA_TheRegMan Před 6 lety +4

      The song was still in 4/4 time. The hits were just placed differently.

    • @jbboypremiere
      @jbboypremiere Před 6 lety +1

      Maybe if they had stronger foundation they could gauge the structure of the music! The music exposed there weakness! Lack of musical diversity and rhythm gauging. The snare centered the track for them all they had to do was pay attention!

  • @AkosM
    @AkosM Před 6 lety

    Did not feel like a battle at all honestly. Partly due to the music, and due to the fact that neither dancers had that, "in your face" attitude.

  • @newfellazlive
    @newfellazlive Před 6 lety +1

    i am seeing this dj get a lot of backlash for the way he dj, i did find out that he is very known in the underground scene but that does not excuse playing music thats not enjoyable i watched all the videos and he played songs that didn't really inspire you to go that hard. i understand that he is challenging the dancers which is great but play at least something that they can relate to. I am just disappointed because i don't watch a lot of these dancers battle and for them to not get great bangers is disappointment. so hopefully the dj learns from this experience.

    • @Alldayanyday1OnThePS4
      @Alldayanyday1OnThePS4 Před 6 lety

      newfellazlive that's why you learn to dance to ALL MUSIC. DJ's will do that in underground battles..they'll test the dancers most of the time..a lot of times they play high energy hyped music so dancers and crowds go off, but others want to see how well the dancers can actually dance to songs they aren't use to

    Props to Ian for putting it out there, can be tough when you are a well known choreographer. Kenzo much more exp'd freestyler and it showed.
