- Today I chat more with Kendall about his A&P school experience, along with his new job opportunity.
Also, I share more about myself and what how I transitioned back to working fulltime as an A&P mechanic as well.
I hope you find some value here even if your just curious about aircraft maintenance or are looking to become an aircraft maintenance technician your self.
As always be sure to asking any questions, be safe and be blessed!
Looking forward to hearing more about the helicopter company opportunity for Kendall in the weeks ahead. There will definitely will be a part 3 in the future. (Stay tuned)
Be sure to ask any questions you might have here in the comments.
Thanks for the video!
Definitely came out great this time! I enjoyed the talk! Thanks for having me
You bet! Hope the new job is starting off great.
Good video guys! Kendall I think you will find the helicopter world a real eye opener, attention to detail is key on helicopters with all of the moving parts. We operate helicopters and fixed wing out in AZ and it is a fun career, I will put it this way, I have never not had food on the table from my 40+ years in aircraft maintenance. The career is what YOU make of it and don't let others discourage you, always keep learning and be cautious around those who claim they know it all! Joshua that is pretty cool being able to fly to work, keep up the video content and FLY SAFE!
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback and advice it definitely seems like a great career path!
@Scott Thanks for the feedback.
I’ll be adding short informative maintenance clips weekly with in a few weeks.
If you have think of any suggestions, let me know…
So cool you can fly to work! Great video!
Thanks for watching!
I’m ready for the warmer weather to stick, much better for mornings flying into work.
Thank you, informative..Nice options.
Thanks for the comment.
Hi gents, thank you for the great information. I was wondering if an A&P is needed if you only want to work on Avionics?
As someone who’s researching this pathway I know that the school I’m looking at offers an avionics cert separately from A&P…however from talking with people in the industry some jobs do a little bit if both and the employer wants workers with their A&P but there’s also jobs that are strictly avionics technician that don’t require A&P…
I think bigger airlines are more likely to higher more specific roles where smaller companies may be looking for less but more versatile workers
I'm retired from working in telecommunications but have had my ppl for 30 years. I'd like to get an a&p but the nearest school is 80 miles away. School is the route I would rather take but due to distance I'm trying to get apprenticship at nearby airport.
That would be great if you could land the apprenticeship position at the nearby airport.
If not, there is actually another option that’s available that many don’t know or talk about. Do you happen to know if there is a decent about of light sport category aircraft around your area?
There's very little to no light sport in this area.
Thanks for sharing this and thanks to Kendall for sharing his experiences. I’m getting more into planes
Glad you enjoyed it! We need more GOOD A&P Mechanics 🧰
Hi
Could you recommend a good FAA aproved school I can apply as an international student?
What part of the country? I have a few in mind.
@@Blaircraft.Engines
I'm a Nigerian and I'm looking for a credible FAA approved school
I'm looking for apprenticeship program
Awesome 👍 Are there any airports close to your location?
@@Blaircraft.Engines have a airport but for as an ac mechanic in MRO they no opportunity
With 25yrs of experience did you tell him about the hair loss, insomnia and aviation induced drinking ??????
No… 😁🙃 I think it really depends on the individual or employer on those!
