Skip Hope’s corny jokes if you must, but treat yourself to what happens around 7:53 and forward with some good earbuds. Studio orchestras from this era were unmatched in their live playing. Add in a swinging, mid-century arrangement with interesting chord progressions and waves of harmonic tension followed by satisfying resolutions and you have a brief few moments of musical bliss. Elevator music you say?
These probably had the worst gas mileage of any mass produced car ever manufactured. Difficult to take a trip on Sundays since most gas stations were closed.
I don’t know where you lived, but in Wisconsin gas stations were open 7 days a week. My uncle owned a station and he worked 7 days a week for years. My family took road trips to visit my grandparents all the time and I remember stopping at stations where they gave away glasses, S&H Green Stamps, even coloring books. Fond memories.

I get 15 on highway you don't know what your taking about I have a 60 buick
the brakes were good, the rest was a flop - Chrysler's Torqueflite became the legend and btw,, Bob Hope left Buick for Chrysler
