Określenia „mikrofon pod stołem” użyła Wiera Gran przekazując mi w sierpniu 1991 roku kasetę z nagraniem jej wypowiedzi zarejestrowanej, według jej przekazu - w ukryciu, mikrofonem zainstalowanym pod stołem(!). Następnie artystka weszła w posiadanie tej taśmy - tu luka w historii jak to się mogło wydarzyć - i zdecydowała się podzielić utrwaloną treścią nagrania z jej gościem z ojczyzny.
Nagrana wypowiedź trwa 45 minut i została podzielona na 4 odcinki - 4 videa.
Obejmuje okres życia Wiery Gran od wczesnego dzieciństwa, ca 1920, do pierwszych miesięcy po wybuchu 2 Wojny Światowej.
Przez 30 lat nagranie to leżało u autora wśród innych pamiątek, zawsze ze świadomością jego ubogiej strony technicznej. Ale to może właśnie czas zrobił swoje, że po tylu latach, treść nagrania zdecydowanie stała się ważniejsza od ewentualnych niedogodności w odsłuchiwaniu.
Materiał, ze względu na jego rozległość, prezentowany jest tylko w oryginalnej wersji językowej, po polsku.

The term "microphone under the table" was used by Wiera Gran, who in August 1991 gave me a cassette with a recording of her speech recorded, according to her message - hidden, with a microphone installed under the table (!).
Then the artist came into possession of this tape - here is a gap in the history of how it could have happened - and decided to share the recorded content with her guest from Poland. The recorded speech lasts 45 minutes and has been divided into 4 episodes - 4 videos. It covers the life of Wiera Gran from early childhood, ca 1920, to the first months after the outbreak of World War II.
For 30 years, the author kept this recording among other mementos, always with the awareness of its poor technical side. But maybe it was time that did its job that after so many years, the content of the recording has definitely become more important than any inconvenience in listening.
Due to the vastness of the content, the material is presented only in the original language, in Polish.

It's fascinating to hear Wiera Gran speaking ..... but unfortunately I don't understand the Polish language! This is a unique document and the quality is rather good in my opinion, Jerzy!! 👌😉
I regret but it was too much to make a simultanous translation. Foreigners who come here and offer me their interest should know what is going on, so... in 2 last parts I made a sort of short synopsis. Thank you, Julian.

Absolutely too much for any translation and I regret it VERY much, as the story has a very special thread and some really dramatic moments. For next 2 pieces i will prepare a short synopsis.
The story reveals how from a poor girl a star was born - in a couple of seasons only ! And it is pre-war time, so she is still far from all dramatic incidents that will be waiting for her ...-
No doubt that this is a unique document; it is a pity that only Polish speakers can understand and evaluate its contents. To my ears, technical quality is pretty good :-)

Jakież CUDNE! ... JERZYKU, SŁOWIKU... MASZ NAGRANIA!... ZASŁUGUJĄ NA NOBLA... WIERA GRAN, Jej życiorys.... TO MUROWANY OSKAR!... Jaką krzywdę zrobiła Jej taka jedna z Polski, co dla klaki i kasy napisała o TAK WIELKIEJ ARTYSTCE "książkę"... No, niestety nie zarobiła, bo Bracia Szpilmanowie podali ją wraz z jej "dziełem" pod Sąd Europejski i wygrali... Cały europejski nakład został nakazem wycofany z księgarń... To WIELKA podłość, tak żonglować ludzkimi uczuciami dla kasy... Pani Agata, jako (na szczęście była) pracownica Instytutu Badań Literackich w Warszawie dała się poznać nie tylko z tego "przypadku".... Sygnuję Andrzej Celmer Zajączkowski
