- The city of Cartagena known in the colonial era as Cartagena de Indias is a major port founded in 1533, located on the northern coast of Colombia in the Caribbean Coast Region. It is the capital of the Bolívar Department, and had a population 973,045 according to the 2018 census. It is the fifth-largest city in Colombia and the second largest in the region, after Barranquilla.
Transcaribe is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system which operates in the city of Cartagena, Colombia, and was inaugurated in March 2016. It consists of 16 stations, and centers around a dedicated 10.5 kilometers (6.5 mi) bus lane along Avenida Pedro de Heredia from the El Portal terminal to the city's old town. For the first two months after it opened, (November and December 2015), the system was free to encourage ridership. Transcaribe's 150-passenger articulated buses are powered by compressed natural gas. Unlike Colombia's older BRT systems in Bogotá (Transmileno) and Pereira, Transcaribe was designed to offer hybrid service (pretroncal) on bus lanes and city streets; this eliminated the need to change buses on routes to Crespo, Bocagrande, and Cartagena's southeastern suburbs. ~Wikipedia

Design of bus is cute 👍
@Chicago police car now in quito, mexico city and barranquilla.
Esos buses tienen presencia.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, wow..! This kind of great 2020 brand new tranportation system of articulated buses in Cartagena, well, just to be honest my mind travels away on memories, just drifts away remembering in my childhood on 1974 just when I was only 6 the old bus also "articulated Ikarus" from Hungary and the old bus Leyland from England, I saw the Ikarus and the Leylands so many times when I was a kiddo that I adore them so badly untill today am looking this very similar stuff on this video, Cartagena its now today the new Miami Florida in my very personal opinion, I would like to enjoy this wonderful and cosmopolitan city with a wonderful tropical weather again, smelling the breeze of the caribbean ocean on the Walls of San Felipe Castle again, just getting a cold beer in the plaza on the downtown and just walking around the city, thanks Timosha 21 for upload it and greetings to you and everyone from Virginia, The United States of America.
Cool that you think that about my city!
Greetings from Spain.
Like si eres de cartagena
@@JohnviiMusic No, no soy de Cartagena de Indias. Soy de Sevilla, (España).

Nice, some modern buses! Still seems like they have some capacity issues
That's a lot of buses!
It’s a city with 1 million inhabitants

Cartagena Colombia, hermosa!
There are some places where they can take another lane from cars and use it as a bidirectional protected bicycle lane.
Nice video.
Nice
👌👌👌👍👍👍
Will you be making a video on Transmilenio in Bogotá?
Can you do a video about railways in oceania
No meu canal eu tenho alguns vídeos
It looks like it would've been better if they had built this network as a light-rail system instead of BRT...
Mira bien detalladamente!!
@@ronniequintana5657 exacto, son más aerodinámicos los de transcaribe
