- 1995 was the last year of the 5.0 before they started implementing the 4.6 later that year with minor improvements in performance. As I mention in the video, the 5.0 has quite a unique sound that is different from the 4.6. I actually insert a comparison engine clip from a 1998 GT. The 5.0s have an amazing sound, especially with the flowmaster exhausts this GT is fitted with. In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1995 Ford Mustang GT 5.0. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Do not let the 200 some horses fool you, these cars got balls hands down.
Efrain1 1 4 1 they have close to 300 ft-lbs of torque so yeah.
@@newfie-dean5803 haven't
@@peytonmarceaux8788 they sure do, do some research before you make stupid comments
@@newfie-dean5803 I own the exact same car in this video, mine is red, these cars are torque
Monsters, make all their power in the lower Rpms, definitely anit no pushover
@@andrewalonzo4758 drove one years ago as my learner manual car, helluva experience with your dad getting mad at your granny shifts and the torque nearly ripping both of your heads off at the same time.
Aah, that exhaust sound!! Truly unique. Friend had one, and we'd start it up and just let it idle soaking in that awesome deep-throated rumble. No need to race anyone at the lights, that sound just totally dominated.
those 5.0 sound a drive so much better than the 4.6. I don't understand why ford dropped such a wonderful motor for that period of time.
new emission restrictions:(
I do agree the 302 Ford was a beautiful motor! I own a 94 Cobra obviously with the 5.0 in it. Pretty heavily modded and it sounds like nothing else out there. Ear sex with the big Anderson cam and SLP's. Drooolllllll. But with all that said the 4.6 was indeed a more modern higher performance engine. With more capabilities. At least the 4v Cobra 4.6, I don't know much about the 2v 4.6 engines.
@@jamisgood21 but you will found more stuff for increase the 5.0 power than the 4.6 mustang and the mustang gt 4.6 is hunk....
Come to Europe they do 1 Liter cars because Emission 🤣
Me either
I have this same car, except mine is Rio Red. Did quite a few mods to it. It definitely flies, and still grabs attention despite its age. A lot of people don’t like convertibles, but after I welded in some Maximum Motorsports full-length subframe connectors, it became more rigid than a coupe.
Most favorite mustang of all time can’t wait to be back in one soon!
man, i could sit and listen to that 5.0 purr all day long, great video kyle!
Thanks so much for this dude! I've been waiting for this one!
Love Mustangs! Great vid as always Kyle!
Just came from school and what`s on the table....a new video from Mr Kyle:) keep up the good work
Kyle, great video. I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work.
Love that sound of that 5.0
nothing like the sounds of the 5.0's, beautiful car.
Exactly what i was looking for
BEAUTIFUL car. I like these more than the new ones.
Wow, excellent condition!
Really nice!
Awesome 😀 😀 1995 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 convertible review.
sounds great!!
amazing exhaust
Great Vid.
Awesome car!
The SN95 is defiantly one of my favorite mustang body styles...something about the curves in the body..its a good looking car
those wheels always look SICK on a mustang!
those headlights are beautiful
That's a nice 4.9L mustang. Great video as always!
It's a 5.0 not 4.9
@@StevenNeidlein It is indeed a 4.9. Ford rounded up the displacement to 5.0 on these motors so that it was not confused with the 4.9 Liter 300 ci. staright six.
Nice Ford Mustang 1995!! It looks brandnew, I hope there is a test drive with this car!
Damn good!
Was never a fan of what I call "Jelly Bean" styling used for this generation Mustang. Great review Kyle. Thanks again
Nice lift kit!
still the best looking car with best looking interior
The 5.0s always sounded good
this car is as old as me #LOL great car by the way Keep up the good work Kyle!
The 5.0 Sounds Like a Real Muscle Car!!
Beautiful car can’t wait to fix mine btw what paint is that
While rolling in your 5.0, did you pull the ragtop down so your hair can blow? Lol!
I see what you did there!
All the time. Except when I do it, I blast Vanilla Ice.
@@UmmYeahOk no noooo haha
The 5.0 V8 engines are just beast in the Mustang GT.
I would love to have a fast automatic mustang
Taking my driving test today and have one of these sitting in my driveway just waiting, shes only a v6 though.
those rims look off a 2000ish one and those look sweet
wow that motor sounds sweet
keep working on it dude, i got a 96 mustang gt 4.6l convertable for my first car when i was 16. Hard work and good grades and a little respect go a long way.
The coolest part is i was born in 96 so me and my car are the same age.
Should I get this for my first car?
nice wheels
I have a rio red convertible GT like this.I have bolt on mods with flow masters and 373 gears. It really gets going fast!!You blink one time and it's going 80+.Plus it's just a great head turner.I like the looks of the 1994 convertible better than the fox body style. It was just different!!Everyone seems to have or had a fox??
now thats a good lookin stang
Especially since it's a 5.0
I'd love to take one of these and swap in a 351W and C4. That would REALLY wake er up.
I reserved the back seat for my dogs haha I own a '96
i love the 199x mustangs!
I prefer the sound of these mustangs over the new ones
17 years ago it was impressive
I want those Rims!
that bestly sound
Mystic mustang ;D
17 years ago that was good
a pesar de que no es modelo muy reciente Está muy bonito el Mustang
Best part of this video is the fact that ZEPPELIN is on the radio. \m/ Rock on! Seems like a LOT of the '95 convertables with the gold trim were automatic trans. Ive had 2. Its a damn SHAME. I definitely prefer the 5 speeds but the auto is cheaper and nicer to deal with during rush hour. ha ha.
@saabkyle04 how does this mustang stack up to the old Fox body model in your opinion i prefer the fox hatch back btw great video as alway,s man no one put,s as much effort as you do in to vids great job
I got a 94 basically same thing !!!
I'm working to get one of these as my first car :D
Don't crash into crowds
Were you able to get one yet?
Ohhh yeah 5.0 baby gets no realaaaa 😊👍👌
I was born in 96 too, but my car is a 69 stang. Building it from the ground up.
Over the Hills and Far Away by Led Zeppelin makes this video incredibly more worth my view
it has a bass knob. lol. thats a cool mustang!
Another superb video Kyle - 5 Stars! You really do have fantastic video skills.
Did you by any chance do a review of the Cadillac Brougham that I saw near the end of the video ?
I actually like this mustang.
good thing they bought back the 5.0 because now its a completely differerent animal if not better than is was before and im a chevy man
5rc it's because it's a pushrod v8 with gobs of torque being choked down by inefficient emission restrictions, and in 1995 ford wasn't really making the most high performance OEM parts. They do have plenty of potential however and are probably the same size as your V6
Well said
You're comparing an engine relatively unchanged from 1987 to your 2005 engine. The same reasons why your V6 make 270 and the newer 5.0 V8 make up to 444 horsepower compared to this dinosaur is better engine management, higher compression, and most importantly: variable valve timing (certainly some more reasons but those are the main ones). These older pushrod engines had fixed timing. Two valves per cylinder can be overcome, but 3 and 4 certainly help potential. Still a great, classic engine!
flowmasters are the best!!
this was almost 20 years ago...215 hp horsepower wasn't that bad back then. it also has 285 lbs ft of torgue at only 3400 rpms...have you ever driven an older stock 5.0? they feel much faster than other cars with smaller engines with similar horsepower and in a lot of cases they are.
Do you upload these videos the day you record them?
man, this makes me miss my 'stang
are you going to be reviewing any svt cobra's? and if you do make sure you get a test drive. lol
this mustang is in a lot better condition than my 94 that has over 300,000 miles on it.
How's it holding up? Is that the original engine? I have a 2003 Mustang gt convertible with 145k miles on it, I'm hoping it'll hold up to 210k at least, my old 2000 v6 held up until 197k when I sold it.
+Dallas Texas everything is completely original. the engine starts up everytime. no trouble with it since I had. it's the 5.0 v8
+Dallas Texas my 2000 v6 is at 190kamd still going up and running perfect
+Brandon Green These older engines are reliable & strong man, a friend of mine is at 212k & he's still trying to race everyone at the red light haha
+Dallas Texas same lol but I bent my rear end over two inched drifting sway bar gave out and they both bent so I'm about to order some tubular performance ones xD
Sweet GT, its amazing how much technology has evolved that a 3.6 v6 has way more hp. EX. Camaro v6, 312hp. SWEET!! This is a far cry from your Girl Friend's 3.8 huh?
Wondering if still have it for sale?
Someone I know sold his '02 4.6 GT to get one of these older 5.0's...He said they were much better engines to work with and modify...
What is that slot to the left of the steering wheel?
Agreed!
Wow.... Very low mileage for a '95 and sounds amazing!!
the 1994-2004 Ford Mustang was assembled in
Dearborn, Michigan
i got one of these
Throw in a cam and some AFR heads you got a very streetable 400hp
hey, im thinking buying a honda cr-v, do a Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour plis, thanks
Also, someone messed with the IAC on that throttle body, (which also isn't stock.) You can see the idle hanging up on it when you rev it. :(
@FEVER55555 If you listen closely, when he is close to the rear of the car filming, you can hear a whining sound that syncs with the hazards going on and off. This happens on 1998 and older SN-95 Mustangs when they reach about 100k miles. So either this car has been driven VERY hard over its lifetime or someone reset the odometer.
there is a difference between rear wheel horse power and if its claimed from the flywheel, most v6 sportscars don't check theres at the rear wheel.
@saabkyle04 nice review man, ive always like mustangs
hey do you just ask the dealerships you go to if you can make videos? or do you work there or something.?
I like the 76 Dodge Little Red Express in the lot at the end of the video, those had more HP than the Corvette in that year.
I own a Red 97 Mustang GT Convertible Auto 4.6L with power everything and remote locks/trunk, I love my Mustang!!
Sure they only have 215 HP but they also have 285 Ft Lbs of Torque!
This one in the vid is nice but mine is nicer, just saying ;-)
nice automatic gt
@Boruc987 They kept it 5.0 because they have a 4.9 Inline 6 that use aswell.
haha brought it back? please dont forget to add the new 5.0 IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND INCREDIBLE haha
ah u need sm test drives !
Did the top fold down automatically on every convertible? I dont know much about how convertibles work
Last year of the 5.0!
I have the exact same car, except white with the 4.6 engine.
Same here, loved it
the camaro also has a 350 cubic inch motor so of course it's going to have more horsepower. or at least it should. it's almost a full liter larger displacement. these mustangs are actually 4.9 liters the 5.0 is just to make it sound better. also..I think the 215 hp was underrated this is basically exactly the same thign that was in foxes and they were 225 hp. i've seen bone stock ones lay down 195 rwhp with a 5 speed which is easily 225 hp or more before drivetrain loss
Nyc 1 :)
For it's age that thing is freaking sexy!
@Greig300 Thats American engineering for you!
