I agree with you about the quality of both dolls. I restyled the hair on my _Best In Black_ doll, too, though I didn't do a boil wash. The hair sticking out from the temples looks odd. I also rebodied her onto the original style body and redressed her. That black mini-dress looks like something cousin Francie wore when she went through a Goth phase.
I'm a barbie collector and I always take my dolls out of the box, just when they are out of the box I dun change anything on em. Btw that's why I collect 80's and early 90's barbies cuz of the great quality of stuff. 80's clothings are so detailed and made with real fabrics like velvet, laces, real pockets, real buttons etc, as well as furnitures and houses.
I have a couple of Barbies. However, I've just bought a Momoko.. A 12 inch doll from Japan. Expensive even on Ebay, with some of these little fashion divas hitting the £400 mark😜.

Well tbh when I was a kid I would try to collect every monster high dolls before they where all solid out but after I heard about ever after high, I slowly started to collect them as well but still I love monster high more and I miss the originals but sadly, I would never get the males but the females so....yeah, idk if everyone does that still because I still try to get some for my next repaint ^^....or for customize it before to the repaint because I still have alot of work for THIS doll I'm working on at this moment but know I'm just going to shit up before this gets any longer and sorry to wast my time with this point

My husband gave me the Marvel Phoenix (Jean Grey) doll for Christmas and like you, I took the doll out of the box. However, I did save the box in the event that me and my husband ever move. I mentioned on your last Unboxing video that I have a African American Silkstone Barbie. I also have other Barbie Collectibles....Ken & Barbie as Gomez and Morticia Addams and two Barbies as Scarlett O'Hara (Gone With The Wind), the Green dress Scarlett O'Hara and the Red dress Scarlett O'Hara.
The 30th Anniversary Ken doll came with an undershirt, fancy striped boxer shorts - and black sock garters. The downside is that he was made of porcelain, and I'm not a fan of porcelain dolls at all. But his clothes were great! Even a metal wrist tag...
Did you pre-heat the needle before piercing? I have a couple of Silkstones that don't have ear holes, and I'm thinking of just piercing them. But I'm too nervous to do so 😅😰 Thank you!

So i don't have any really old Barbie dolls but my aunt ( my grandma's sister ) she collected them for years and there still in the box

Integrity toys dolls do have panties though (those girls who wear dresses and skirts) but they are much more expensive than Silkstone Barbies...
gillian jones older silkstones came with panties. now they don't. I loved when they had underwear, especially at the price point.
