  • Improving Speed Starts with the Feet - Here's Why. This is part one of a presentation on speed development. More segments will be coming soon!
Too many times, in amateur athletics, an athletes career gets cut short based on the fact that they are simply just not fast enough to play “at the next level”. Whether it is a 40 yd dash, 60 yd dash or a big vertical jump, we aim to get you the times and heights you need to turn heads and get noticed.

I thought Nike Free's were among the better options!! Any advice/direction/suggestions for a good shoe to wear in gym & running on grass?

does what he said at 14:06 about no spikes on the outside of left shoe apply to indoor 200 and 400 races?

About that crossfit, i joined but also researched it a bit. It seems there is some system behind the madness. They use only limited exercises (only the best ones) and they use maximum volume, but not too much volume. Also according to a study the crossfitters that trained 5 days vs all the lower days, had best cmj height scores. Something you would not expect based off the traditional plyo research. If you can look through the tough guy mentality, crossfit actually makes you pretty damn fit in a motivating environment. It is however more for a 800 meter guy, or type A personality person. Sprinters might find it too much endurance focussed.

So a pole vaulter or long jump triple jumper should the spikes be longer on the outside of the foot as well? The front spike under the big toe makes sense. I also notice kids who never change their spikes they naturally shape down to how the run and jump over time .
