Thank You Very Much!!! 😁
Monster Trio 🤯
What concert is?
I would also like to know which concert is this
According to another commentor, this was at pink pop in 2006 in the Netherlands.
My mind is blown!
Everyone is talking about Frusciante but no one is talking about how Flea effortlessly plays those staccato sixteenth notes.
His bass also plays a major role in his fast and consistent playing, man I love the Modulus bass and all it’s glory.
Yes True, but that's too much for the average listener to decifher! They just love the overall sound 👍
Aside from his nude, he is pretty genius
nobody is talking about how Chad Smith is the best rock drummer alive today
@@jebusgod That's because Vinnie Colauita, Terry Bozzio, Chad Wackerman, Steve Smith and Aynsley Dunbar are still alive.
Little did the band know he’d spend the next 15 years making nothing but synth sounds.
yeah the title made me laugh. reads like "that one time John made his guitar sound like a synth."
And tbh it never sounded super synthy in the video lolol
And shitty eletronic stuff
@@denaaa1985 its actually pretty good stuff its crazy how i thought it mighta been a phase hed grow out of after a few projects but the dude found a new outlet and its parta who he is now
Some of it is kinda shit, but some of it is really good
@@atravelerofbothtimespace4172 ah, sorry, most of his songs are just annoying boring noises. Well, John is not known by his eletronic stuff by a reason...
Flea and Chad are practically telepathic on this jam
They are both so incredibly solid!
Most musicians who have been playing together for awhile all have this ability. It's called experience.
Actually, I find this jam one of the better examples of how Flea very obviously leads Chad into what he wants to play. Chad just has to recognize it and follow Flea's rhythm. Chad's exceptionally good at that though.
@@robertcooney1938 nah lol there’s more then just experience… they feel that shit in there souls as a cohesive unit that’s called love.
@@DomePieceRecka don't know about it being love, but it becomes second nature because you know how bandmates play. I lean on experience.
Its crazy as a musician how they all equally play at the same volume and intensity but no one takes away from the other. True musician ship and chemistry.
This is what makes good musicians great. You respect band members, dynamics, volume... follow each other. That's what makes good musicians great.
I don't know what the hell that was... But there needs to be a whole lot more of it in the world. Frusciante never fails to blow me away. Flea and Chad can build a foundation like no one else. LONG LIVE RHCP.
There are some bands mainly in the rock trans fusion genre who create vibes like this... dark and dirty.. the disco biscuits are one of the originators and the best... especially back in the day
Well, it already has a lot of experimental bands that did way more forward thinking and impressive effects in 70s and 80s that were a clear influence on Frusciante playing on this video
The chemistry these three share is undeniable; their music is like moving water in a stream, always changing, gently reacting to each other as it flows along.
how much sustain do you want?
John: Y E S
How tf does he such huge sustain
@@nebblin Loud amps and BOSS DS 2
@@gabrielmorel9200 simple amplifier?, amplifier at the end?
2003-2007 best era of live performances. No discussion.
I think the by the way tour was better than stadium arcadium.
@@lugac I liked Stadium Arcadium better, because I liked those songs more, but you can’t go wrong with those years!
John is a interdimensional wizard of shredding , & a savage viking berserker manbeast of tone
Bromance?
is sitting at home
He's ok at best, his solo stuff is far superior then anything he's done with RHCP
He’s far from a shredder lol but he is good
Buckethead has entered the chat: 🤣
John transcends the different styles and eras of guitar playing. He could have been a legend during Hendrix years, could have done something in the 80s like Knopler and of course the 90s and still expanding all the sounds of his works two decades in 2000s. Would have been an icon on the original Woodstock stage too. 🌟
John IS a living legend.
Somewhere in the crowd is a sixteen year old me. My ears were ringing for fucking houuuuurssss after this show. My first festival, my first time seeing the Peppers. Good times.
Bring your earplugs kids
Where was this ???
@@conorsmith8551 Pinkpop in 2006. The Netherlands
Damnnn man, what a first show to attend !
No, really. Protect your ears.
I mean shit...if John synths his rig again...why not make it the last thing i hear
The connection they have is out of sight.
My god man...the chemistry between these three is mind blowing. Absolutely amazing musicians!! This is probably the best jam of theirs I've ever seen.
I have tickets for the Toronto show in August, can't wait to see John live !!
i envy you
Hope you have fun there
@@santiagoluiz thank you... I'm super excited !!
@@Northerngirl15 i can undertand hahaha
Same! See you there haha
@@an-tunesmusic5075ha ha !! Yea, that's awesome, see you there !!
One of the best rock bands in history.
The best rock band in history*
They are definitely one of the bands in history.
@@JimmyBags69 stole my comment 😭
@@fryle_0 lol
Not even close👎 best wiggers maybe.
Can't wait to see this trio jamming live in 2022
Flea is one of the all-time great bass. players. I am so glad I got to see them when they were playing in bars, many years ago.
Aside from his nude he is pretty good
Wow this is way darker and a more sinister sound then the chili peppers we know, it gives you an idea of where these 4 men took this band in a different universe
You can see him becoming Trickfinger
Hahaa!
The sound is just crazy. I never thought a guitar could sound like that.
It’s just one or several effect pedals. You need one that takes the volume on and of at any speed you choose and then one that phases the sound in and out, and alloys of distortion
@@norwegiansniper9713 that sounds like it would be fun
@@norwegiansniper9713 I think you need to have a great sense of taste and not be afraid to experiment, even if it's a live performance on stage.
I believe he’s using the seeker filter on his Line 6 FM4 for this. What he’s doing on the floor there is dialing in the frequency and then the speed so that the filter matches the beat.
@@johnbyrne4172 so any filter can be used that way? That’s really cool
This is a effortless synchronized masterpiece
Love it when musicians just 'play'.
Man, Flea is a beast!
Flea’s bass playing in this was fuckin killer! Him and Chad we’re vibing so hard!
Hands down, JF is def the Chili’s best guitarist
Only from the Chili's ? 😂😂😂 What about hands down from the whole world.. 😂best guitarist ever. Hendrickx ,yes Jimi paige , clapton , van Halen... All my respect. Those guys all have amazing talent. But they are all founders from another generation, wich I admire a lot en be very thankfull..But John F. is from an other era...He can litrarly do anything just the same , then those legends could. But sometimes even better. Would Hendricks or Paige pull off what John F does ? And im not talking about Technic or notes solos... They all can yes. It's about the emotions , timing and hitting the core of the soul
It's so so strange watching this with the hindsight we all have. I've never seen three musicians look so in-sync and unified whilst simultaneously screaming their personal tastes and musical directions. It all looks so obvious now but it really, really wasn't at the time.
When you come across a chilli jam that has the most epic flavour and you can’t believe you’ve never tasted it before!
An absolutely amazing trio...Rick says they are prolific song writers. Will write 40+ songs on the spot for the new record.
How did you know
@@scartissue121 .Rick says
John could have farted into a microphone for 10 minutes and it wouldn't have altered the towering awesomeness of Flea and Chad's jamming
I'm really looking forward to live improvs like this next year. John's come a long way when it comes to electronic rhythms and the way melodies work in electronic music. He was really only just getting started here and more experimenting on stage than anything. Will be really interesting what he comes up with now, having created electronic music since leaving the band.
He's got a better sense of rhythm and pacing now when it comes to that type of music. I feel as though he really came into his own as an electronic musician with Maya, there was a lot going on in comparison to his previous electronic suff and i'm thinking this will translate well to the guitar, Maya earned him the title of electronic producer for me, i took that album seriously. I'm hoping to hear not a rock guitarist experimenting with electronic sounds (which is what this sounds like to me), but an electronic artist trying out techniques on a guitar as opposed to a synth. Don't get me wrong, i love the guitar solos but when it comes to improv like this, possibilities are endless. John's new knowledge of electronic production will definitely open a new door to improv fo the band, especially for Chad.
Thanks for the comment, your opinion is really interesting.
But why especially for Chad's improvisations ?
@@user-xj8kd5lw4c i also believe Chad with get more creative cause these electronic synth type sounds have different accents in different points of the measures and will make him accent differently and get creative with it, really excited to what could happen!!
Also John said he and Chad had a new communication in the creative process, john said he is also a drummer in his own way pulling from electronic music with programmed drums and stuff (before he didn't know the difference between a ride or a crash cymbal) so I think he and Chad worked harder on the drum beats for the new album making them more intricate and or busy as oppose to the classic funk rock grooves Chad has played in the past. I would really love to hear that new material and see Chad in a new vibe and switching things up!!
@@user-xj8kd5lw4c I'll also add that drums take a front seat in electronic music so for John to be influenced by that stuff i think Chad will as well, maybe even in some of the studio tracks on the album. But i definitely see it during live improv performances because they can go wild then. The album tracks will still be rock centric i'm guessing, but hopefully we'll hear some of the influences there as well, probably just not as obvious.
@@Alex-ms1tt Thank you so much for such a comprehensive answer. It makes me think about the recording of the new RHCP album from a completely different point of view. Before, I was thinking mainly about the future difference in guitar improvisation between John and Flea on the new album. But I never thought about Chad's contribution to the band's jams.
@@alexwells6876 I expect something really experimental and different from their previous albums. But at the same time, something special that makes them recognizable
I will always think Josh was the right replacement when John left BUT this is one thing missing from the Josh's era:
THE FINAL JAM.
Huge respect for both of them. Personally, I can’t put one above the other.
That was f++++n amazing! That's what makes a good band. A freakin cool jam just like that! 😁🤙
They do that multiple times throughout a show and then "secret songs" like some Dylan or Hendricks...or the Bee Gees! It's a mindblowing event.
He never fails to blow me away
One of the best rhythm sections ever!🙌🔥
these humans were born to make music together
this might be my favorite John-era
3:02 dumbledore's hand
This jam makes me imagine John as a wild animal that Flea and Chad are trying to corral.
John is from out of this world!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really cool use of tremolo. Similar to how The Edge uses it on U2’s song Lemon. An understanding of how to use the guitar almost as both a synth and an organ, and to let a whole song ride on it as a foundation.
This is not a tremolo.. It's a Moog pedal, I think this is a Moog Midi Murf
Yeah except lemon is bad
(I am a huge U2 fan, but i cant deny how underwhelming zooropa is besides numb and stay
I belive this was around the time the peppers were hanging with the Mars Volta guys. They had some crazy jams
Everybody's good! They all have great chemistry together.
That was an amazing musical moment.
They should call this the tinnitus killer
omg. epic. what a trio !!! magic
Their playing with The Mars Volta is a big influence during this touring decade
John's guitar is part of his soul
John is the guitar...
0:36 Fleas going, "holy shit John!!!"
this is badass! this is the type of sound i want my guitar to sound like in my nine inch nails type electronic songs
what a nice trick john! dammit you're god damn genius with that amazing effect 🤘🏻
There’s a lot of cool effects out there to make your guitar sound like a synth.
So complete in its infiniteness.
The second time it came in I got the chills all over!
Он пришел в третий раз
One of the greatest line up ever
Love it the bassline
Super Wicked Jam!! 🤘🤘💜 ❤
Such an underrated guitarist - the guy's a genius.
Like Jimi Hendrix was oh man I love e this 🙏💚🇳🇱
“underrated” 😭😭😭
John before he left the chili's was underrated. I feel like the CZcams era made him more famous without him being in the band because people fell in love with the live versions. It led to great expectations for their latest albums, which were good but probably not as good as people expected. But I did go to 3 live shows and finally saw them love and thay was beyond my expectations haha 😄
the way Flea looks at Chat @0:37 seconds, like "alright we're doing this s#&@"
I have been a fan since the start... John is a guitar prodigy!! I am glad he is back
That was fantastic! Jaw dropping
That was great improvisation!
Faarrrr-- they are all having the most amazing time of there lives!!!. I can only dream of ever reaching such levels of musicianship.
I actually haven’t heard this one before! Love it 😍
Simply genius-no other words can describe ❤️
pure art
I think the biggest advantage of the electric guitar is that it can make the sound of all the instruments that exist in the world with the effector
Those Moogerfoogers he's using are incredible pieces of kit.
Trickfinger done did it again and woke my soul. I am so excited for 07/29! Thanks a bunchies!!!
That was really nice 👏🏼👏🏼
john is playing for thousands of people and instead of shredding or playing catchy songs hes just messing with his pedal board like every home guitarist wasting time and not practicing lmao.
John Frusciante is an Amazing Artist. Electronic person
Early glimpse of the man that would later be called trickfinger
Can’t wait to see em in Orlando and Miami
I SAW 1 MILLON RHCP JAMS VIDEOS
But this and End Jam of Chowzow Poland are in the top!
They should studio record this and release it as a song
That sounds like it could be a jam from throw away your television
Flea is badass. Top 5 fer sure
Never mind John… the rythmn section are amazing
Pura improvisación , e ahí la mejor sección rítmica del rock , flea y Chad , ellos pueden seguir las locuras de John y crear una obra maestra. Joya !!
Brilliant Jam!
The perfect chaotic ambience!
That's Trickfinger at work
That's amazing! What a tight band
Amazing sound
That sounds incredible.
how does he play his guitar like that ?! 3:50 hah amazing! love his guitar playing it blows me away. Totally away hah
🤘What a wizzard genious, ain't he? And so are Flea and Chad, not to mention Anthony. Love you guys👍
live jam session, awesome.
They are like masterpiece of sound 😍👍
this is celestial!
by the look of the past 15 years, I'd say warm tape 2.0 is around the corner
That’s phenomenal
Love these guys
Forget John, the connection between Flea and Chad is something I fantasize about as a bassist.
John is perfect ❤
Je ne sais pas où c'était. J'aurais tellement aimé être à ce concert. Ca fait planner! l'alchimie entre eux ça rend un truc de dingue. merci RHCP
Man, I'll never get anything done if you guys keep posting stuff like this!
It still sound like guitar. Good jam.
The best song of RHCP
