First shot made me worried but he will be fine. Imagine starting at old Trafford after two practice sessions. Props. He’s gonna fit right in with his pace.
Somewhere inside Timo Werner there is a great footballer...Ange is the man to find it and drag it out of him. I'd loved to have seen him play at Liverpool under Klopp. Keep going Timo.
People need to get off his back and let him get going. Its his first game for us and he hasnt played that much recently, i thought he was quite impressive given the contrast between his and johnsons performance
Porro and Richarlison are proof that you need to give them time and space to adapt and get confident, Timo is fast and intelligent, i noticed he was hugging the byline far up in the corner trying to stretch the fullback and really wanted to make runs behind and link up play near the box, signs that he understands Ange's system.
true, i will say porro was absolutely shocking today though, wasteful in good areas every chance and non existent for the goals. His first really bad game of season and he still managed an assist
Porro provided decent service on corner kicks including assisting on Richarlison’s header. But non-existent on the goals-riiiiight. Yea he was caught upfield often when United countered but that’s what happens when he follows Ange’s instructions. It’s up to others to see his situation and help him recover. Was not his strongest game but far from “shocking”. He had a number of good dribbles and passes. Was ok
@@GhostMedia47According to almost all stat-sites like SofaScore or WhoScored, he was Spurs MOTM by a mile lol. He was shaky defensively but so were Romero and Udogie (Udogie made a lot of errors this season but he never got a SINGLE criticism by anybody) Attacking-wise he's the best player in our team ATM with both Maddison and Deki missing. I'd love to see Emerson coming as an RB and Porro in the midfield, maybe it would've worked better, but whatever now. Overall our defence was bad today, but IMO it's simply because United's really fast, long-ball styled transition football works well against Spurs who has a high defensive line especially in the wings we're really vulnerable.
@@gorgar0311 I'm spurs till I die but he hit 14 corners and gave ball away in dangerous attacks with careless passing. He's usually quite clinical with his passing.
Whatever you think of Timo and his performance, the amount of touches/chances he got(compared to Chelsea) in his debut shows how good of a manager Ange really is.
As a United fan, I wasn't at all surprised by Werner's misses but I feel his transitional play and speed will make him a very good addition to Ange's squad. Some of his passes were very dangerous. Good loan signing, based on this game.
I really want him to do well, partly because of all the hate he's gotten and people doubting him. Wanted him here at Spurs since Leipzig beat us 3-0 in the UCL. There is a player in there and he just needs to regain his confidence. The first shot was wild, but he will get there
Overall better than Man U , getting a point was a good away result, with teamwork and effort , given illness, injury and changes . Minutes under belt for harder challenge in cup run, where need to be on it to progress. Richi looked like a top no.9 and and we were creating chances . Timing , teamwork and clinical finishes if can get those right , road to glory awaits ! Good debut for Timo ! CoYS!
Fans gotta get off his back. He barely played for the last 2 months and still got himself an assist on a Spurs debut when he just recently joined their training session. Good things like Pedro takes time. Timo just need to have more confidence and composure in front of the goal and he’ll do just fine.
Timo, if you don’t shoot you are quite decent, like for real. I had no expectations for the guy but found him quite skillful. Just don’t shoot. I think you’d make a fair Midfield to be honest
Brennen JOhnson has to be dropped, he's shockingly poor and is looking like another bergvijn a deer in the headlights. Really want him to succeed but he doesn't look like he has the belief, technical ability and the character to make it here at Spurs. I thought Werner offered much more for his first game, a great assists and could have had a goal if he just steadied himself more. Werner is looking like a Solomon with more pace, he's very tricky and has a good attitude.
Well, there wasn't one available in January. Be grateful that Timo came and cost very little, otherwise there'd be a benchwarmer playing who'd undoubtedly be worse.
Does this guy practice shots at goal every day ..that's what he needs to do ...rubbish ..I personally want him gone and Johnson baby feet ...they will both hold us back ...😮
Literally just arrived, trained 2 days with the team, no first team football at his last club for the longest time and his debut gane fir us at Old Trafford..........give the lad break will you!
I have always thought Timo was a confidence player with unlocked potential. He seemed able to do some great things on the pitch and then some absolute look away moments... I think under Ange's style & tutelage he may be able to flourish and use his assets ( pace/ dribbling). His confidence will hopefully grow further with some development on his finishing and passing.

Assist as well. Fingers crossed lol
Yeah but he is a professional so he should be fit
@@JamesRichardson-qy8hvdon’t think it’s about fitness more about trying to get the system down
Happy clapper !! He's shit like johnson 😮
Like Richy, he'll get plenty of chances to score and build confidence. Could honestly see an amazing resurrection here!

He at least got a nice assist
For a debut with a new club he actually played amazing

I really like his attitude and love seeing him excited to play for spurs

His corners were phenomenal, precise and right in the middle@@GhostMedia47

Two training sessions and already talking the Ange talk! Good on him. ✅

He fits good into that team
So far Turbo is doing fine. Give it time and he'll score. He looks really good. The assist was needed. Good work.
Remember how people felt when porro came into the squad last january? People need to chill out and let the adults cook
He needs a bit more composure in front of goal but will improve
Good player 👍🏴
Good start bar his first shot
I’m buzzing for this team. Even if we don’t win anything.
world class timo werner

His English improved 😂
How's your German?
At least you can understand him
idk what it is but i love him already
I really hope you get up to speed Timo and start showing everyone COYS❤

Timo played well. Johnson was disappointing

Ahaha, thought the same. His shots were crazy but apart from that he played really well
😂😂😂😂😂very perfectly said
Timo is gonna be better after a few more games under his belt!
Someone tell ange to give jota a ring ,he is available in the januaary window
start good
he seems so shy on and off the pitch, from now on i wanna see a more hungry timo.
그는 소심한 성격탓에 슛 공포가 생긴것 같다..
베르너가 본인의 멘탈 문제를 해결할 수 있길 바란다..
Tough start but nothing like jumping into the deep end
3 open goals 😢
When
What about you Fornite account timbo 😢😅

It was a blitzkreig
No theres not ..get real ...we need a proper striker ffs 😮

Timo is trash ngl, likable guy tho
Mark my words johnson and werner will not be playing for us next season 😮
Wrong. Werner will, Johnson won't. Mark MY words 😉
Give that crystal ball a polish and tell us where Tottenham will finish in the PL and FA cup then.
Does this guy practice shots at goal every day ..that's what he needs to do ...rubbish ..I personally want him gone and Johnson baby feet ...they will both hold us back ...😮
You’re a 🤡
this dude missed a lot
he also had an assist and its his debut so sit down and stop talking child
Lots of touches in opponent box and an assist. Not a bad game for a debut
17 min in the last 2 months. He's out of form and a little rusty. He'll get back up to speed and get in a groove with Ange's backing.

It’s obvious Timo likes England especially London lol
