2023 F350 towing a 2023 Grand Design 324MBS #shorts #granddesignrv
A full review of the trailer , Superglide hitch and how the 2023 F350 tows will be coming soon!
Man it looks beautiful there. Thanks for the informative video.
Thanks for watching!
Almost purchased same fiver. We just picked up Jayco 31 MB which is very similar layout and weight etc. My 17 F350 SRW Crew Long Bed handles it pretty good. With everything in the Rig we are about 11,600 lbs. I’m roughly 2000lbs + pin weight. Great Vid!
Do you have a video on setting up the towing technology in the truck?
Yes I do! Feel free to look at my towing video and super duty play list!
I love how u had Try That in a Small Town playing in the background 🤣🤣so sad they are trying to cancel his song because its AWESOME
On the Zilwaukee bridge
Nice song and i am black. Why is a black person can call out a white person but a white person cannot call out a black person. If you are doing shady shit then you are a pos. No color line there
Nice video. Good job. Hope you guys had a good time on the trip!
Thank you for watching, we had a great time!
Very similar to what I just finished with my 2021 F350 6.7 and towing a 36' Everest 5th wheel (~14K lbs) on a 2000 mile round trip through Utah, Wyoming, and South Dakota. My average mileage for the trip was 11.4 mpg and my speeds were mostly 70 mph with some 65 mph. And I used about 7.5 gals of DEF on the entire trip. Something I noticed regarding my the exhaust filter levels: as a daily driver when at home, my DPF level will gradually reach 100% at which point the truck will regen down, but only to only about 15-20% at the lowest. When towing, it initially climbed to 100% at the beginning of the trip at which point it also started a regen, but then cleaned all the way to 0% and stayed at zero for the remaining 1500 miles or so of the trip. It seems that when towing and working hard, these engines are doing passive regens continuously and never allowing soot to build up in the DPF. Did you notice this with your newer HO 6.7 also?
Yes that is very accurate..if you work a diesel engine harder the passive regen will clean the DPF with out an active regen. But even with that in mind all diesel engines have to perform a active regen at a specific mile range frequency regardless if DPF is full or not due to EPA certifications...seems silly but thats how it works.
@@CTECH-REVIEW good to know, thanks. These modern diesel have a mind of their own, literally!
I will be getting a similar 2024 model without the tremor pkg. I;m also looking at a 5th wheel about the same size and weight. Thanks for the video. Good to know I can pull that size 5th wheel because I really didn't want to get a long bed or dually.
I'm looking at a 2023 Grand Design Reflection 367BHS and upgrading my F150 to a 350. I was feeling good about that until you mentioned your weigh in. Wondering if I should look into a DRW? Love the look of your F350. That color is perfect.
I feel pretty confident in my F350 SRW for my needs...I would probably have 400-500lbs of payload capacity left over in most scenarios. A DRW should get you another 1000-1500lbs of additional payload over the SRW F350.
Nice truck brother!
Great video I have an F350 Limited on order, love this content keep it coming.
Any issue with the transmission? or or other areas.
Would you get a larger trailer? I'll have to rewatch the part about the trucks capacity with the 5th wheel attached. looking at a 35'-37' model
Never had an issue with trans, trailer was 38ft long but I would think this truck could do a 40-45ft trailer as long as you are in the window for payload capacity!
Just brought my 23 f350 home this evening. Going camping this weekend and towing well before the 1000 miler. Schedule just happened this way. Do you buy boxed def only or at the pump also? This is my first diesel.
Thanks for watching, and enjoy the new truck! I do both...truck stop is easiest to fill up.
We live on a gravel road. That colour would be awesome to not show off the mud
Do you have any problems finding spots that fit the 37ft length in state and national parks? Any areas that you could not fit the trailer due to the size?
came from a 33,5ft travel trailer to this...no issues issues thus far. Just did 6 days in a state park that said max size 35ft trailer...no issues.
Wow! So what do you estimate the pin weight at on your truck if you had 3400 total payload weight consumed by everything you took with you?
Im guessing around 2500lbs or so
I have the same truck. What was your speed while towing? Maybe I missed it.....
Depended on the speed limits but typically I was towing at posted speeds. 65-75mph range.
@@CTECH-REVIEW Thank you
How fast were you driving? At 70mph towing a 5th wheel, 45’ long, 13’6” tall, 18k lbs I get 8-9mpg.
Thanks for watching, it depends on the road speed limit but typically right at the speed limit. at 70 in smooth no hills no tail or head wind I am getting around 12mpg or so. 37ft long, 13'2 tall, 14k lbs. I hope this helps!
@@CTECH-REVIEW 12mpg is really good. Pulling my triple axle ATC I will never get that kind of MPG
I wonder if you don’t do the 30 second click will your truck computer be more accurate?
whats the weight of the grand design?
looking at buying a f350 for my 15,000 pound keystone alpine 5th wheel
Thanks for watching, Dry weight around 11k lbs, probably around 12.5-13k currently.
pretty level lol!!!
Thanks for watching!
What model is the 5th wheel
Reflection 324MBS...I posted a video yesterday about this trailer. I plan to do a more in depth review of the trailer in the future.
@@CTECH-REVIEW I have the same truck but white and a 31mb Reflection
As much as i want a diesel for torque, i have to do gas hd
Awesome truck, enjoy the beast!
The f150 is a different shade it’s called Area 51
Deisel or gas
Diesel
major sag, get you air right away until you can buy a biggger truck to safely tow yourself and family. Speaking from too much unwanted experience….
Thanks for watching! Take a look at my other videos, Air bags installed!!
