He will guide you through progamming your zones, programming your entry/exit delays, and zone descriptors. He shows you the manual as well, but we have an easier to use option in our Quick Start Programming Guide that we wrote for the system.

    Thanks so much for posting this. I had a window sensor go bad, but I didn't want to have ADT come out and replace it. I followed the instructions in this video and had the sensor replaced and working in less than 10 minutes.

    I have a strange problem after reprogramming a front door sensor for a family member. For some reason, the system does not want to chime for this door anymore, even though it chimes as expected with the back door.
    I've programmed the zone number as A02, and the zone type as b01. My understanding is that this should be the correct configuration for the front door. The back door is A03, b02 and chimes properly.
    I also manually added the voice descriptors for "front door" to this zone.
    In fact, when this door is open, the system will say it's not ready to arm and will announce "front door" when asked for the fault code. But it will not say "front door" as a chime during normal operation.
    Unless there is something I'm missing, the only idea I have is to remove the zone and recalibrate the sensor to the system again from the beginning, to see if the chime feature will come back.

    Thanks for the helpful video, but what can we do if the master code has been lost? I have the installer code, so tried to do a reset; but can not find any information on how to program a master user code. I can find information changing the master code, but I would have to know the master code to do that. Help?!?!

    Hi can you tell me how to delete a certain zone? I have a couple of zones where the windows have been changed and the sensors do not work anymore and I am tired of having to bypass them instead of just being able to just delete that zone. Thank you

      I just purchased a house that has the L 3000 series. The home owner gave the real estate agent his master code but forgot the installer code... He said they told him that you have to unplug the power adapter from the wall and disconnect the battery from the panel. But he doesn't remember all the steps... Could you give me the steps so that I can change the installer code to something new?

    How to delete a zone?

    • @AlarmSystemStore
      @AlarmSystemStore  Před 5 lety +1

      On these systems you'll usually go into the section to program zones, *56, and then go to the zone you want to delete. When you get there you will scroll through by pressing * until you get to zone type. Set zone type for 00 then press * and it will ask you if you really want to delete it.
