Tips, Tricks, and Secrets Tears of the Kingdom Doesn't Tell You Part 2

- The possibilities in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are endless and today I'm back with even more ways to traverse Hyrule, improve your combat when fighting monsters, and how to steal objects from shrines to use for builds. I'll also show the easiest method for fighting Lynels, Gleeoks, and Ganondorf in TOTK.
1. Fuse sleds or frozen meat to your shield for frictionless surfing.
2. Use hoverstones and hylian pine cones to climb mountains fast.
3. Use muddle buds, dazzle fruits, and puff shrooms to take down enemies.
4. Hold unstable vehicles in place with ultra hand and use recall to mount them.
5. Use fuse to steal shrine exclusive objects for builds.
6. Rapidly press X and B after Tulin's gust to preserve momentum and paraglide farther.
7. Fuse wings and hoverstones to Mineru's construct to glide.
8. Use light root and shrine locations to find each other on the map.
9. Throw giant brightbloom seeds onto vehicles for visibility in the depths.
10. Use U-shape blocks to cheese boss fights. - Hry

Puffshroom is the most broken thing ever is a zelda game, just put it on your shield so it explodes when attacked and you can easily sneak attack enemies for a massive atk bonus
True I was really worried that Tears of the Kingdom was going to be way too easy after seeing the gameplay presentation. But I'm glad they've increased the difficulty a little bit from BOTW so that this stuff is a little more balanced out.
Muddle Bud
It's def broken. But i don't think it compares to building autonomous attack robots. Really don't even need to fight at all

Kid named forest dweller’s spear:
Muddle Bud + Forest Dwellers Spear. The perk on forest dweller spear let's you reuse the same muddle bud over and over til the spear breaks.

Why is suddle bud plus forest dwellers spear superior over muddle bug ÷ forest dwellers sword? Cuddle bugs don't stack right? So surely scuttle bug + forest dwellers sword should bd better due to the higher damage (before breaking?)?
@@npcrahI may have misunderstood your question but you don't use the muddle bud spear for damage just to cause the confusion effect, then you switch to high damage weapons.
They can also be repaired at Rock Octos. You can use them as a base and stick non repairable weapons on the end to trick the octo to repair both.

The game actually does tell you about the pinecone thing. If you're trying to go into Rito Village while the bridge is down one of the npcs suggest throwing pinecones in a fire for warmth.
That's how I figured it out.
The npc actually suggests you NOT to throw them into the fire because the wind they make is too strong for normal hylians.
Its too bad you're the chosen swordsman :D.
I just chopped down trees and made a giant bridge with them.

Actually, unopened chests work for this as well.
Just Autobuild them infront of them, and they're locked into the loop.

@@new2you410 I think it might just be metal chests, in general, but I've only ever used closed ones because I've only ever seen others using closed ones (specifically from Amiibos drops) in other videos.
Also, it gives me something to do with them when I open something I don't have room for & don't want anyway... just refresh the Autobuild favorite.

Metal chests work great for stopping lynels! Instead of a trap, I like making a U shape with them. That allows you to push them right up to the lynel to force the lynel's move animation look. As an added bonus, it also guards Link from them rushing in to hit him, which can definitely be a problem against the armored lynel in the coliseum.
@@isaacwoodard1029 The U-Blocks work great for trapping though, as seen at 10:14.
I used only six of them to create a wall around each Lynel.
The best part is I could then repeatedly jump onto their back from the rear-facing U-Block, and pummel them with my strongest sword (190+ Silver Lynel Saber) with no interruption & no durability loss.
This makes Lynels about as much of a threat as a baby Bokoblins...if there is such a thing.

@@ThatAnArchyDude You make great points! I'll have to chase them down for funsies. Chests are difficult to use for mounting. U blocks look way better for that. Better looking, too!
Bright blooms work well on the back of the fan cycle instead of the front.
I use the recall thing for the glider. I put it in the void, I recall it to me, I jump on it and I start flying. Easy.
The best one was the shooting hover stones above you. Never thought of that. I have the Zonai armor, plus 14 batteries. I can climb almost ANYTHING now.

You deserve a million subs for that beast vehicle referred to at the end of this vid. I made it last night! But you neglected to mention one thing... It can basically drive straight into a chasm and you just nosedive glide down to the depths without issue. New fav vehicle. Will you be doing a step by step instructions vid on the mega electric ball of death also? I'd watch that!

as you demonstrated, the dazzlefruit also instakills stal enemies.
You dont need to run to npc to unfuse the items. Just fuse a apple at them in shrine and then build what you want.
you have to fuse to a weapon if you want the item itself though, instead of an autobuild copy of it. With autobuild things will break and disappear if you mess with them the wrong way, so if you want to make a vehicle with several different unique parts then the weapon fusing is necessary.
Do those u shape blocks work on a phantom ganon?
FYI all of the shield surf fuses go the same speed

Haha it is a pretty cheap way to win, but it's fun to mess with them.
Quick tip: if you use carts on a shield instead of a sled it basically creates negative friction since it has wheels
That is a really good fuse combination as well! I actually showed that one off in my last video.
How do you make that electro ball vehicle?
I wish I had an easy way to explain it over text haha. Maybe I should make a tutorial for that one as well.
I use the two fused chests to kill lynels.
Can you confirm if the UShaped block stuff has been patched ? I tried with two chests recently and the lynel ignored it.
It was patched in the last update but the elevator rail works

Is there a difference in friction between regular frozen meat and frozen prime meat?
I don’t think so. Any frozen meat should work just as well.
don't use frozen gourmet meat, that one doesn't work, but I have heard that fish might work as well

This feels like a 2000s Era tips and tricks video. Super slow commentary/explanations and way too much talking. And you're showing obvious things.
To finally have a not fast pace video is absolutely great. Most tips I didn't even know surprisingly. I was expecting I knew most of them lol
Go have your daily ADHD fix elsewhere then. I liked this video.
People improve at their own time and pace, and having a decent microphone and a lot of practice with speaking into it go a very long way towards how the video turns out.
The video was good imo, he just needs more experience for that extra bit of polish that you seem to be used to from creators with years of content already. If you didn't know, recording, and speaking, and editing everything is very time consuming and *hard*. This is a good video for someone who only has 14 on his channel.
