- In this tutorial I'll guide you through how to make a vehicle in TOTK that can drive up mountains and walls. This all terrain custom vehicle uses a stabilizer that can rotate so Link always stays in an upright position and you almost never crash. To create it you have to shrine steal some propellers and motors to create a wind turbine engine that generates lift while you climb. You can also add beam emitters and other Zonai weapons to use it in combat. Plus you can drive it through water as long as it's not too deep. With the amount of power this thing has through electricity it can almost fly. In the video I drive up Death Mountain and the wall of the Great Plateau. In my opinion it's one of the best Zelda builds yet.
Check out my Tips, Tricks, and Secrets in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom video here:

Don’t forget to favorite it in autobuild!

I was trying to build almost the exact same thing last week and couldn’t quite get it to work properly. Thank you!
You should consider innovating on this design with the floating pad from the deep force shrine in the wetlands. Then you could have an all terrain AQUATIC vehicle. 😄
Finally someone who says which pieces of shrines can be used and their location
Haha I’m with you. That annoys me as well.
@@new2you410 not only that i thought shrine stealing is some agonizingly specific glitch fest but NO it's just shield fusion X(
@@MikePhantom I once fused one of these yellow bouncy balls from a shrine to a weapon by accident. I then proceeded to try to steal it by just leaving the shrine, anticipating that the game would just despawn it once I'm outside. It didn't. That day I learned that Fuse is a tool for burglary.
@@new2you410I just started playing the game. What's that battery thing attached to the motor?
Oh man, I never would have gotten the idea that some parts are from shrines - I just thought I haven't found the right dispenser yet
Also, add a dragon scale, it would prevent despawn when you’reexploring around
True! That is always a good idea.
Why does a dragon scale prevent that? Is that the intended behavior or is it a bug/feature?
@@GeddyRCIt’s an intended behavior. The dragon parts despawn further away than other items, so that when you harvest a dragon for their parts and it falls to the ground, you can get it without it despawning.
@@GeddyRC The game erases stuff on the ground when you reach a certain distance from it, and there are various distances depending on the nature of the item.
A construct max distance is based on the best item merged, which is around 200m for zonite parts and 2km for dragon parts.
So by putting a scale to your favorite vehicule, it costs 3 extra stones to duplicate it, but you get that back with huge interests by rebuilding it less often.
Does this also work with dragon parts created with autobuild?
So after reading through several comments, I‘ve constructed my own perfect version. I‘ve 1. replaced the body with a flat rubber sheet from the Deep Force shrine to make it float on water and 2. added two more wheels in the middle and shifted all the wheels to be nearly gapless so it can’t get stuck on fences or the like. Now it is truly all-terrain.
The og has a problem of if you run out of battery or if you go into the water from a bad angle the whole thing will flip over and be upside down on the water do you know how to stop it from doing that? I don't know how to make it stop sinking or getting flip upside down it works fine if I don't stop moving forward but if I run out of battery or go into the water from a odd angle it stops working
yeah I like using that big yellow floaty board to build vehicles. it's light, it floats, it's big and it looks cool
The stabilizer under the steering wheel is absolute genius
Absolutely wild that it keeps link upright up a vertical climb.
Yeah, definitely one of the most useful features. It opens up so much more that you can traverse.
If you mess up building a multi part section like the propeller and engine combo, you can remove it using the auto build history. Its more reliable then recall, and keeps the perfectly aligned propellers you just worked so hard for
When it comes to the engine you can also just break off the minecart. Sure you have to place that back, but it will snap the engine off without breaking it apart and is a whole lot easier to put back in the right place than trying to get those propellers right again.
But the auto-build history definitely sounds like a good way to do it.
Use floating board in Deep Force shrine and you have an amphibious vehicle. That's how I improved it, along with an electric cage for protection.
Or use the gold orb that's coded to floot for massive wheels
@@jasonanderson291 - if you make the wheels too wide, that will only make it harder to fit through narrow spaces. The floating board gives roughly the same effect without the additional footprint.
Add a construct head with a beam emitter, with a dragon scale to prevent despawn and a giant brightbloom seed for better night vision and you've got basically every possible angle covered. If you do somehow wind up falling into someplace you're really stuck in, you'll probably just be able to use recall to extract yourself out of that
When he started going into the water I was like "Oh no", not for floating, but all the electricity.
Is it lava proof?
Do you know how to make it stop sinking? For some reason what you said works but the problem is if I run out of battery or I go into the water from a odd angle it will flip over or stop working it only works well in water if I kept moving forward so if I stop it stops working
A vehicle, that moves like this, in real life, would be perfect, literally nothing will stand in your way cool design.
To get past the bottoming out, I do a six wheel build. Just add two more big wheels one on each side in the middle between back and front tires. Makes a big difference
That’s a really interesting idea. I’ll have to try that out.
Hey I'm rshotmaker and this popped up in my recommendations, this is awesome ♥ It makes me super happy that the One Punch helped inspire brilliant builds like this! You're the only other one I know who has made it up the Great Plateau!
Hope this doesn't come across as unsolicited advice but might the yellow float board from Jonasu shrine make this even better in water? It lets me go through any depth of water, but for all I know you tried that and went with the stone board for a good reason. Loving your work, can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Not sure it'll help. The last time I stuck the electric motor to the floating board from Jonasu shrine (also inspired by your one punch vehicle, btw. So thank you.), the whole thing flipped over in the water due to how heavy the electric motor is. The float board has crazy buoyancy but the engine is also crazy heavy, which the physics of this game wants to make things rotate. It might be better if you mount it in the middle of the board length-wise or use 2 of the float boards. That's what I'm doing for my boat that uses 2 large wheels and the propeller as an engine in order to stop the counter rotation from the wheels. No guarantees it'll work even with 2 float boards though.
ytshotmaker it’s such an honor to have you check out my build!
I am a huge fan of your TOTK builds and I could not have created this one without seeing your work first. Yes, I think that yellow board actually would work better for the base but at the time I had no idea what shrine it was in. I definitely want to test it out and see if it helps in water. I had a lot of fun with this and tried to make something very simplistic but also efficient. It went through a lot of different iterations before I got to this and I have no doubt there’s still more ways to improve it. Thanks again for looking at it and you’re always welcome here on this channel.
You're idea Made me Build Divine Beast in the first place like thanks a lot, If i havent watched the video this idea would have not made it the ones that i made Vah Ruta, and Vah Medoh i've Wondered How to do Vah Naboris but the model of the Walker that came out some days ago help it a lot, and i haven't made the car is crazy but i think im going to use it for Vah Rudania using the Basket like probaly Four of them and with the stone board.
When I use the Gemimik motor+prop, I just attach them together as intended for the puzzle then they are in my autobuild when I leave the Shrine. You can detach singular autobuilt parts by attaching something else (I just use apples) to them before detaching - as long as they're connected to at least one thing, they won't disappear when you detach
I’ve been just using flying machines to navigate my way around, but this is a game changer for me. This makes land vehicles much more fun now. Thanks for this.😊
You can line up the propellers with each other perfectly like this. Don't attach to the motor yet. Take the propellers to the flat level area behind the nearby house. Use the green fake alignment shadow of the upper propeller to line up with the lower propeller before you Attach.
Nice tip.
The better platform to use for your base is the big rubber board from the Jonsau shrine. It's lighter than stone and is immune to fire.
Edit: It also floats better.
Have you tried this exact build with it? Does it withstand the weight of every other item used on this build?
Do you ever get shocked by the emitter while submerged?
@@patrickmendez8440 yessir, all the time lol
This was helpful but I did modified it I bit by use a slide to hold the motor that is connected to the stabilizer, and using the float board instead of the stone borad which is found in the jonsau shrine in the Lanayru wetlands
This is AMAZING, I made a similar build with two wagon wheels instead of the motor and an Akkala tree as a base, which you can imagine was NOT fireproof lmao. Thanks for sharing!!
Yo congrats on the video it came out neat! Thank you for showing me I can use recall to detach parts😮
I’m working on a similar video right now, showcasing the build I use to navigate the depths and eliminate just about anything on my path. I call it the Depth Rover. I also got inspiration from someone else and made my own version of the vehicle with many iterations. It feels so good to see a thriving TOTK community where we learn from each other and gets to share our inventions and inspire others. I want to see more of your builds sir!! Very good stuff 👌🏼👌🏼
Works mostly as advertised, with the small caveat that you need the lightning helm in rain or for sheer drops off high ledges. Feels really cool to use.
Edit; I had actually just positioned it wrong. I rebuilt it exactly as shown and was able to fall down a chasm in the rain and was completely safe. I changed one thing, that being the main platform of the vehicle. I changed to the rubber board from the Deep Force shrine and now this thing doubles as a boat. This thing is amazing.
Amazing! I’ll be using these concepts for sure while crafting my all terrain tank! What a genius use for a fulcrum, an improvement from the cart wheels! Bravo!
I made certain modifications on this. I used the floatable board(forgot the shrine name) instead of the rock, then light railings to mount the fans and stabilizer. Now it became amphibious.
Thanks for this! Sometimes I don't want a hoverbike, but most ground vehicles I make can't navigate rugged terrain. This is perfect for my purposes!
I did this and really worked! Its freaking cool and funny at the same time😂 Thanks a lot dude
You're welcome 👍
Bro that last climb b4 the video was over was insane..subscribing,keep up the good work 😊
Enjoyed the good old link to the past music so much. Awesome dude
Great build. Also love the music for the montage, very nostalgic.
Thoughts on swapping the stone slab for the super lightweight grate-style bits from the depths? Might lead to some interesting effects at the very least
It might fall backwards with all the weight at the back
@@krabzilla4185i'll try it and see what happens
this looks amazing. im so going to have to try making this and using it in the depths. bravo!!
Thanks for this, super fun build. I climbed Akkala Citadel
DEFINITELY earned a sub for this! Great vid and great content. That vehicle is insane!!!
Great video. Awesome use of the stabilizer.
Yooooo! This is fricken amaze balls! Thank you! I’m definitely going to try this.
5:00 You can use the Stake to place the _motor_ into a wall so you have front-on view instead of the side when placing the two propellers on it.
This is so cool. Also love the ALTTP music
Great video. Really appreciate that recall building tip
Just what I wanted for exploring the depths. Thank you very much!
Happy to help!
just use an airbike
@@AtomicVegetable An airbike would be great for exploring the depths. That's what I used in my first playthrough. But now in my second playthrough I'm trying to max out my batteries without duping. I think it's gonna take months.
@@MarkDavidBlackI play with no duping and i maxed my battery somewhere around 200h
Thanks so much for this incredible video! Keep up the good work!
Dude, that's absolutely insane, i'm gonna try it right now
I made one like this a couple months ago. When you show it climbing up over the edge of a cliff, you'll find that it can go over much easier if you put an extra set of wheels on the machine. Just put one on each side between the other wheels. You'll find it'll actually help us go over obstacles much better as well.
This absolutely amazing! The most practical one i seen!
Thank you! It took a lot of testing different designs and iterations but it was worth it!
I love this game for all the things you can do. Pretty sure more things will come.
Astounding! I need to try this!
Thanks! I'll try this out soon.
brilliant idea, thank you for sharing
Just built this! Works great! Thanks!!!
Thanks for the insperation this gives me an idea for a one wheeled device
I got a car commercial before this video and I thought it was just a funny bit that was a part of the video and I ended up watching the entire 30 second ad.
I also watched Rshotmaker's clips on Top Gaming Plays, I'm glad I saw this video
Wow, thanks I was really wondering about how to make this beast of a ride
I subscribed to your channel because I liked your opening. I'll keep watching because I like your content
Thank you! An all terrain vehicle is exactly what I've been wanting but hadn't thought of how to make one myself. Also, fusing the control stick to a balanced rotating piece is fuckin genius, lol.
Been using this thing in the depths and it's just amazing in there!
Awesome video, thanks
It’s amazing, almost as good as the hover bike!
This is so cool! Thanks for sharing how to make it
You’re welcome! Glad I could help.
Great tutorial! Didn't even know you could use the motor as a gyro.
Very cool, I am going to try this with a floatation platform.
AMAZING!! I'm going to have to build one of these... but I'm not feeling OCD enough today to get all the small bits perfectly centered 😹
Your videos are so nice and enjoyable
I made it and it was able to climb the akkala citadel ruins mountain! Thanks for the video!
Glad I was able to help!
Beautifully functional
I just made this, it's awesome and I love u
I’ve been waiting for this vid
I think people are going to have a lot of fun with this one!
Agreed!
gentle warning for anyone using this: both the large and small wheels have a max 30 minute runtime, which is reasonably long but can be frustrating and inconvenient if you let it catch you by surprise
kinda a redundancy but I wanna see this with the cooking pots on the inside of the wheels for additional shock absorption.
Excellent build! :3
Dude this is awesome I was looking for something to look for caves
have you found the secret of the satori yet?
@@bencarter211 no where do I find it?
When you see a cherry blossom tree around the map, put a piece of fruit in front of the statue, and watch what happens. (There’s one on Satori mountain, and I believe at least one in every region.)
@@bencarter211 oh yeah, I’ve done thar
Yeah this would work perfectly for that.
great work
SUPER COOL vehicle, gotta do it. 👍👍👍👍👍✌️
I just came back to comment and subscribe! Great video!
I love it! I must have one!
Thanks man!
I always want to know where to get those propellers. Now i know that Just need to fuse them from a shrine jaja
Thank you!!
Nice very nice build
If you use the floaty yellow platforms from that one shrine as the base for the car, it would be able to drive on water as well.
Best part of this video: You weren't wearing +2 Zonaite armor set.
I wish I could like this video more than once!
I made this myself, and I didn't use minecarts. Instead, I used the metal poles nearby as substitute for the mine carts. It works the same, but faster to set up and, to me, works the same.
Thank you!
That was a baller build.
lol wow that's awesome! :D Dang I wanna build this! All this needs now is a roll cage and we're golden lol.
Very nice indeed.
This is so cool
Amazing!
5:19 hop on a platform like the deck of the car and hold the second propeller further away. You’ll have a better view of the first propeller and the connection point. Sometimes it helps to turn off motion controls to get things squared up.
You could probably replace the stone slab with 2 (maybe even 1) rails from the right leg depot, save some weight and space.
I’ve toyed with a Segway version too, can replace the back wheels with a stabilizer, save even more weight and parts. Which equals more weapons!!!
I love it!
Thanks for this build (685 hours 99.75% ) you build keeps me playing this game 😂 ❤
I made this. It's a beast!
Let’s go! Glad you like it.
INSANE build! Love it! Thank you for the great content!❤
Impressive!
Great video. I sub"d. Keep them coming o7
This vehicle is a 9.5/10. Yes. The 0.5 I'm missing is kind of the speed, but otherwise this is not just a beast, but a behemoth. I can scale mountains with this thing like nothing. It is AMAZING. And just built it a few minutes before making this comment. It's that good.
6:07 you can also use auto build to go back to the correctly placed double propellor you already made
that's some creative thinking
if you use that yellow floating platform from one of the shines, i forgot which one it is, it can ride in water too. It's conveniently the exact same shape as the stone platform.
When I saw him sinking, my first thought was "I'll bet if he replaced that stone slab with the... plastic? well, floating one, it would solve that problem.
awesome!
Hoverbike be like: "Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power"
Interesting, I didn't know doubling up on propellers made a difference. I'm going to have to try that on my crawler (it's a different design that uses a wagon wheel gimbol for the steering stick, a cube golem core and small wheel fan drive, rear small wheels for clearance, and has a shorter wheelbase)
Simply fantastic. I shall be applying this to my tesla im making with big wheels and shrine motors. It cant even climb the hill from tarrey town to my house
Also you can switch the stone board with a rubber floater board so it also works on the water as a boat it wont change anything in the build exept making it boat compatable
Ommfg. This thing is an actual monster. The perfect test of a vehicles power is taking it up death mountain. To the right of Shadow pass are ols lava flows that have made "roads", and some of them more treacherous than the rest. The Flux drive could barely make the easiest route. The 2 big wheel motor barely made it up the hard route, once. This muhfuggin thing does the macarena up the hardest "road" on that path. Now I am intent on taking this thing up the most of treacherous routes possible. This thing puts everything else to shame, at the cost of power efficiency. Holy fucksicles bro.
Edit: ya I just drove straight up death mountain and INTO the caldera. Unparalleled power.
Would a boyant platform work better? Also the minecart holding the motor for the stabilizer could be just one of the metal poles nearby to save a little time yes? Or is the minecart on the side needed for weight purposes?
Using the foam platform from that one buoyancy shrine in place of the stone platform could make it float on water, I think.
