Bolter and bolt pistol needs a little buff against unarmoured from 99.25% damage to something like 125%. That way it can 1 tap dreg gunners to the head at close range and same with body shots for dreg bruisers.
You can shoot during the bolt pistol punch btw!!!!

I read stories where he had a bolt pistol and others where he has a Laspistol.
I forget which stories had which though, the one with the Genestealer cult I think he had a boltpistol and Chainsword... I could be wrong of course.
Random thought, I hope we get a new class in the future that has one ability that activates a dual-wield mode. I want to see some dual-wielding bolt pistols.

It's a fun weapon even if it's not the most efficient, the 4 stacks of bleed blessing isn't terrible.
I read through the patch notes and they mention you can now shoot through teammates with all weapons. So the bolt pistol that seemed to do this in the video actually did. :)
Also blessing lock removal is confirmed in the comments with the patch notes. When this happens wasn't disclosed there, not with this patch anyway.

The update is good! What I originally thought was just 4 new weapons and a map turned out to be a patch filled with a little bit of everything. Its not the biggest patch or most jaw dropping one by any means, but it goes to show that fatshark still cares about the little things and aren't about to up and abandon the game or treat it like a cash grab.
Still wish we could have gotten a bit more tbh but hey im just happy to see this game get some attention. I also feel when space marine 2 releases its either gonna motivate fatshark to start working faster or the game will just completly die out, but hey only time will tell on that.
Seems like best Blessings for the Shock Maul are "High Voltage & Skullcrusher"

(Just to answer that question though -Flanged is pronounced "Flandchd", a bit-off end and the G is more a D with just a hint of a G in it.
The flanges are the wings of the head on it, looks just like a medieval flanged mace but electric power added.)
About the Bolt Pistol I use the same blessings as you but find it hard to take down crushers which is mainly what I use the Boltgun for, but long range shots or less mobile large target enemies like most monstrosities it's excellent. For some reason the Boltgun stops mutants better as well (may be the blessings I use Surgical and shatter on my BGs) so they also pose a minor issue for me with the Bolt Pistol as I tend to pick them off at range as they come running toward you. I tend to only need a single hit with a BG (or a short full auto double tap) but need 3 or more hits with the Bolt Pistol even though the damage values seem to be about the same?
I really like the look and feel of the Bolt Pistol, it looks perfect and gives some real immersion in 40K, but I'm less happy with the performance in-game. Yes it's serviceable of course, it's not trash to me at least and I really want to use it, just use it better than now.
The reload is smooth and fast which is a big plus but I find even thought it swaps and reloads quicker it's less effective overall compared to the boltgun. Mostly I can't mow crushers with it like I can with my BG even though it's just fine for Everything else.
I wish it had the full-auto like the boltgun, that would make it perfect for my playstyle where I mostly clear trains of crushers with it and occasionally pick off snipers and other specialist at range or clear a horde off a downed teammate in a pinch. Part of it is probably the new blessings not being identical to the BG blessing set also, I have yet to wrap my head around those new ones, how to make them work.
Maybe Puncture can work as replacement for Shatter on the boltpistol? If used with Deadly Accurate it might build up so much crit chance that it consistently does double damage on tougher targets. I have yet to try this.
As probably the most build-sensitive of the new weapons maybe prioritizing making a tutorial video on it would be a good idea, once you tried it a bit of course. :)

The boltpistol might be the worst weapon in the game
Not the worst. Looks 10/10 performance 6/10 maybe, so middling performance but it's a bolt pistol so it should be at the top tier lorewise. If it had full auto and the same blessings as the Boltgun (shatter and maybe cavalvade too) it would rock though. It may just need Shatter actually. I still have a blessing to unlock so I'm hoping it's Shatter.
The pistol is very build-sensitive though, I agree. If not built right it's just not going to work. Kind of like the Power Cycler blessing needed on a Power Sword.
@@thunder2434 it cant kill a poxwalker with a bodyshot on psycher. It has 80% dmg stat, the weapon is not build sensitive, its actual trash, a laspist9l does more damage.
Im talking gameplay only, the fan fireing revolver at least has good boss damage, this weapon on the other hand makes no sonse, the recoil pulls the pistol down
I thought it was alright. It's like revolver but a bit weaker, aoe staggers and has more ammo
VoC vet, 76% dmg, flackiac + R4 Deadly Accurate, seemed good against ragers and armour and oneshot headshot specials 80% of the time (except mutant, and dog for some reason)
@@gorlust the key word is veteran, still, you are better off using a laspistol or autopistol, you can actually aim with them , they have a faster fire rate, time to kill on anything but carapace
Even if you can build for it, every single weapon outclasses itin more ways than one, even the fanfire revolver has a use, this gun is useless
