    Nice video. Clear explanation. On a $10 table, I lay $30 in odds on all the point numbers. Keeps it simple.

    • @ColorUp

      No, the odds and math are all the same. The games with electronic betting are actually a little more advantageous for player as it rounds to closest penny where as real table rounds to closest dollar. This helps player in many situations. Now, is there a difference in the amount of fun and atmosphere around the game? I would say yes!

    The ONLY time I would take a LAY odds bet is when I am playing the ATS, and the LAST number remaining is NOT a HORN number to make ALL the numbers of the ATS, so this way I will win SOMETHING instead of NOTHING IF I seven-out, and it would be 1/3rd of the TOTAL amount of hitting ALL the numbers of the ATS bet!
    Same thing with the Firebet, if I made 4 numbers and I am going for a 5th number, which would pay 250 to 1, so I would lay 1/3rd that amount to make something instead of just the 125 to 1 ONLY for making 4 numbers!

    Anyone ever see a hybrid roll to win table or bubble craps that let's you lay the true maximum odds?
    Usually you'll only bet the same times maximum odds of the pass come, 2x your Don't bet on bubble craps or 3-4-5x on the hybrid table. At least you get paid to the penny for the true odds on electronic machines...

    Can you bet less then 1 times odds? Example, $10 on point 4 dp , $10 odds. I assume if that's allowed it would have to be an even amount odds bet to get paid 1 to 2 on 4&10.

    • @FreeformAggie
      @FreeformAggie Před 2 lety +1

      Bar the 12, or Stand Off the 2 in Reno/Northern NV, is so that someone can't bet both the Pass/Come & the Don't Pass/Don't Come simultaneously and expect to push on every natural result 7/11/2/3/12.
      Like the 0/00/000 in roulette and any of the 1:1 bets (Black/Red, Even/Odd, Etc.).

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Před 2 lety +2

      If the 12 was a winner on the come out, and considering being the favorite after the point is set. The dont pass player would actually have an overall house edge advantage over the casino. The casino bars the 12, so they overall have the mathematical edge.

    Can you place a bet on the don't pass after the point has been established, & if you can----- How?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Před 2 lety

      No, you cannot. After a point is set, the player always has advantage to win over casino, so casino does not allow. They require chance to beat you during come out roll

      @abesqueda Před 2 lety

      @@abesqueda well you can make what’s called a lay bet against any number. This is a bet that wins with 7. The bet has a 5% cost to it.

    • @abesqueda
      @abesqueda Před 2 lety

      @@ColorUp ya.. so by me saying (after the point being set) $100 lay on the don't pass. Would that be correct terminology to place a bet for the 7 to win but at a 50% payout

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Před 2 lety

      No, let’s say the point becomes 9. You would say “I’d like to lay against the 9 please” the 9 would pay 2:3 with a 5% commission. So you would bet $90 to win $60 and $3 would be the 5% so you bet $93 to win $60. Depending on which number you want to bet against, they offer different payouts. Here is a video all about lay bets. czcams.com/video/P6ZG7TofIX8/video.html

    Wait. I'm confused. This is actually an even game with the casino.
    So why doesn't everyone do this? I mean- its just math.

    • @gavinjohnson5888
      @gavinjohnson5888 Před 3 měsíci

      Yes - it's an even game*, which is why they limit how much you can lay in odds. However, to be allowed to lay odds, you must have a don't pass bet. The don't pass bet has a house edge. So your total don't pass + odds bet still has a house edge. Theoretically, the more odds you lay, the lower the house edge. But I like the way Jeremy frames it as increasing your volatility. You'll always lose the same % of your line bet, on average, and then you'll theoretically break even on your odds bet. So your net loss doesn't really change.

    Ugg, the odds. Preload them! A bet of 10 dollars with 60 in odds is a 70 dollar bet. Just bet the 70! I believe you will make out better with hitting the 2/3 and the extra for the box numbers. A five dollar bettor has green action every time with 35 dollars.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Před 2 lety +1

      You have $70 facing that 8:3 come out roll. The odds player bet is always a favorite to win. Mathematically, the odds player will lose less money over time, but that’s based on probability. Your way can certainly do better during any given session.
