There’s not much consistent backstory with TCM due to it’s multiple timelines. But for 2 different versions of backstory, you both should check out
-2006’s, ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning’ (prequel to the Jessica Biel entry)
-2013’s, ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ (direct prequel-sequel to only the original)
-2017’s, ‘Leatherface’ (A prequel to both the original as well as TCM 3D
The cop talking to her at the hospital at the end was actually a 20 year old under the makeup of Grandpa in the original...
Also the orderly pushing Sally at the end was her brother Franklin in the original
This sequel is so underseen and undervalued. VERY cool y'all are watching!

Something you should know about the next movie. Going into 2013's 'Texas Chainsaw', there's a post credits sequence after the credits finish scrolling at the very end of the film, that is well worth the wait. So, don't miss it. Fast forward if necessary.
The most underrated sequel to a horror movie. This one is my favorite one with the exception of 2003 & 2006. Matthew was so unhinged lol he played this role so effortlessly!! Great reaction you guys. ❤

Bro, this was the first time I saw a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. It premiered on HBO in 1998 and this freaked me out!! Matthew made me so uncomfortable and he played the crap out of this part!! After this he began talking to Janet Jackson and they dated each other for a while. From that mans freaky weird stomach, to him crushing that girls head, leather face screaming and hollering, etc this movie drained so much energy out of me. So disturbing 😣

The 2003 remake is the next movie, but I would recommend staying in universe with the original.
So, I recommend reacting to Texas Chainsaw 3D from 2013. You only need to know the previous four in mind when going into Texas Chainsaw 3D.
After that, you should react to 'Leatherface' from 2017, and finish with a reaction to 2023's Texas Chainsaw Massacre. All are sequels in this cinematic universe.
After that, a reaction to the 2003 would be perfect.
Trust me, you guys don't want to have the 2003 remake, in your head going into Texas Chainsaw 3D, or as I prefer to call it, Texas Chainsaw 5.

Renee Zelleweger has an incredible running stride, the best I've ever seen from an actor in a film.
now this movie is just one of the most bizarre and just flat out weird movies ever made but I think for that exact reason why I kind of love it?? it’s awful but it’s so awful that it has a sort of weird charm to it. More channels should react to this movie!

Second film of the series I saw, after 2. I kind of love this bizarre little movie. Course, I've only ever seen the uncut Canadian release. For years I didn't even know their was a cut U.S. version floating around.

I hated this movie sooooooo bad because it came out when TCM was still on a high. This was a ridiculous movie that sat on a shelf for YEARS and when Matt and Renee became stars, they released it to cash in on their names. In spite of all that, Matthew still DELIVERED. He was awesome in it and had no reason to be embarrassed by it. Renee was NEWER than when we knew her as new, but she still delivers a more than decent performance. I just like it cause it honestly did NOT hurt their careers, when some would say it was only released to do just that
I think it's cool that they found a house that looks pretty similar to the original, just mirrored.
It's a lot darker when the actors know how to act.
you must also see Renee in Case39 movie.

This should have been called the torture of Heather cause they brutalized her throughout that movie
