Completly missing the point. Everything starts with a thought. The book gives you the boost to turn and develop your mind into a money concious tool. Not sit on your butt and think money will drop from the sky. Grant is cool and all but a bit of a twit.

After reading “Think and Grow Rich,” I had a desire to buy a very specific brand new car. At the time I didn’t even have a job. Within two weeks, a friend of a friend asked me if I’d help him promote some condos. I had zero experience in real estate but I did it anyway and, four days later, I put the owner in touch with a buyer who ended up buying enough condos to get me exactly the amount of money I needed (within $50!) for the car I had envisioned two weeks earlier. (I got the money as a referral fee. After that, I had the thought, “It would be fun to get into the art scene”. Within a few months, I was managing an art gallery which generated enough income for me to live in a waterfront property for the next eight years, till I decided to move on to my next adventure. I’ve lived my life using the principles laid out in “Think and Grow Rich” for the past 35 years and I’m still having a blast! 🎉

2 huge lessons from that book for me was about being aware of the different hypnotic states we can find ourselves in. Like being in a "scroll hold" on social media, but also using that same locked in energy to focus on taking obsessive action. The other was about seeking expert counsel where others give up (3 ft from gold). But he's right that a lot of people use personal development study as a way to avoid taking action.

I think you have missed the point entirely. Which is disappointing because you should be thoroughly versed, as a businessman, on what you don’t like about something before speaking on it publicly so you don’t look ill informed. In short, thought is tied to an emotion when focussed upon and that emotion influences our perspective of the world and our place in it; which concurrently influences an action and behaviour. And let’s not get into the neuroscientific perspective on how thought impacts and shapes the brain.

These books are to change your mindset because thought alone isn't enough it's like a map that draws out the way but without action it' but a mere stalled car going nowhere, you can have a great vehicle and not use it without action nothing happens they go hand in hand you need both.

Your statement assumes you can have obsessive thoughts without actions and that assumption is totally wrong, please sir go and read the book, and then meditate on it repeatedly and watch how your actions begin to change

The ninth chapter, and I quote:
"1. a concrete goal that the urgent concern is based on to achieve
    2. a concrete plan expressed in ongoing activity
    3. the right attitude that shields against any negative emotion
    4. environment"
I mean, anyone who doesn't clearly deduce from this that action is crucial to achieving the desired goal is intentionally misinterpreting it, just trying to stand out without a valid reason. The book was really helpful in this sense, that your start to understand that you need to change your thoughts in order to achieve your desired goal. if you want to make money, you need to start get a consciousness for money. I also think that some chapters were unnecessary, but the main points of the book really helped me improving.

Because this guy Grant Cardon’s didn’t come up with it “Think and Grow Rich” he has to put the Legend down. He was teaching more then just money he was teaching you how to be wealthy with all ASPECTS in life. And success isn’t just money. To you it maybe. But everyone has their own opinion what success is.
