  • If you are moving to Altanta and craving one of those adorable renovated bungalows at a reasonable price, you might want to look into Sylvan Hills Atlanta. Sylvan Hills is a Southwest Atlanta neighborhood that is full of classic brick bungalows and smaller ranch style homes. I would say that there isn't a lot to do in Sylvan Hills but it is a tight-knit community that is very close to several things such as Perkerson Park, just over 1 mile to Atlanta Beltline access and the Lee+White district, and it's only about a 5 minute drive over to Downtown East Point and College Park which offers more local restaurants to hang out at. I'll walk through the Sylvan Hills Atlanta neighborhood so you can see what the home styles are like, get a vibe for the neighborhood, and see what is close by (parks, restaurants, etc). Sylvan Hills is an up and coming neighborhood that has seen some restoration of old bungalows. While most homes in this neighborhood are not huge, it does offer a more affordable neighborhood to live in for first-time homebuyers or small families and still is a short drive to the heart of the city or the Atlanta airport.

Thanks for this video of my neighborhood. If you start from the Lakewood MARTA station, downtown East Point is about one mile away. Coming out of the station is the welcome to East point sign.

What do you think about the east side of sylvan hills near woodbourne Drive?? To the right of Parker’s on park. It’s not as nice as the northwest side but I’m wondering if it’ll follow the rest of the neighborhood in due time. You can still get a good fixer upper for like 210k

@@mannyerick7235 I’m not totally sure. If it does improve I don’t think it’ll be a quick turnaround. Maybe if that commercial area along Metropolitan would get more exciting, that would help. I find if the area is not right on the Beltline, the area is much more slow to develop.
