    Excellent tutorial. You're a good teacher.
    Serious question: 1) I'm kinda shocked you didn't grout the wall trim first, or while you were doing the perimeter. Was this an oversight? Or strategy? 2) how long did you let the epoxy grout dry before you washed with EG? Complete set? Or immediately following? 3) No PPE equipment? Do you need a respirator or gloves while applying the grout or using the EG? 4) is there a brand of epoxy grout you recommend. TIA!

    Does that much water affect epoxy grout? I know with urethane grouts and some of the advanced grouts like Mapei Ultracolor Plus FA they're really sensitive and don't allow for a lot of water cleaning up at all.

    • @egformula
      @egformula  Před 5 lety +3

      When Working with Epoxy Grout any Brand Just as long as it's "Solids" or "100% Solid Epoxy" Water is Definitely Your Friend. But with Urethane and Custom Fusion those aren't Solids Epoxy and Less Water would be Required for those types of Grout as Required, EGFORMULA Works with all Just Need To use the Proper Amount of Water accordingly per Grout, & Solid Epoxy Grout Types Sufficient Water is necessary & definitely good as shown on Video I'll be Making more Videos Better Detailed Soon.

      usually, epoxy grout will bond to clean cement grout but if there's no void or low grout to apply over you'll not be able to get enough to cover the old grout. at least partial grind out would be needed to make a place for the epoxy grout to go.

    • @egformula
      @egformula  Před 2 lety

      Soon as I finish spreading all, I drop EG Formula on all epoxy grout and start cleaning up right after spreading the epoxy, no real wait time just the time as I prepare myself to clean up few minutes at most but this Is because I'm spreading the whole thing. If I was only spreading like 30_ 40 feet I may wait 10 minutes but I dont wait that long on a whole batch

    how long do you wait before you start cleaning after grouting .?????

    • @egformula
      @egformula  Před 5 lety +4

      Basically if you spread a Big Batch Start Cleaning right after, start on the end you Started Spreading, if it's a Smaller Area I would wait 10 to 15 mins before Cleaning for example maybe 20 to 40sq feet I would say it's a small area.. reason being if spreading a big batch by the time your done you already gave it a 10-15 min set time on the beginning end and that's good enough.. spreading a smaller area would be quicker and so waiting 10min after spreading a smaller area is a proper set time before Cleaning. 10min Gives you time to see if any voids or grout sinks are happening to retouch right away.. 10 min is about the right time for the Epoxy to level itself out and notice any improper grout.

      @@sampsin1 lol...I would agree very uncomfortable till getting use to it and very true some what funny my guys would complain about me being admitted about wearing them but as a foreman I've seen installers hit plumbing pipes as they Grouting or installing specially on commercial jobs for example as could been seen on this video pipes and screws poking out the walls and sometimes working next to other trades working over you... but good point tho lol 😆👍

    I see you don't use gloves. Have you ever had a blood test? A once used epoxy grout in my bathroom and on the instructions there was a clear warning that the product was carcinogenic. Therefore I'd say gloves should be used when applying, aspecialy when you use it every day for a living.

    What I do if the grout get hard?

    • @egformula
      @egformula  Před 5 lety +1

      You would have too take the grout out the Bucket right after you mix it and set it in the areas your installing it to Avoid it from getting hard quicker. Epoxy Sitting in the bucket Actives the grout quicker. I would recommend to stop using that batch. If it gets hard, The stains from installing Epoxy grout from pushing into the grout joints leaves a clear visible haze stain & will be extremely hard to rub off.. Unfortunately once the epoxy grout starts getting hard there's no way to remix it. But if Epoxy Grout gets hard on tile need to scrub off with new Scrubpads asap using Hot Water..
