  • The Blue Nile Falls is a waterfall on the #bluenile river in Ethiopia. It is known as Tis Abay in Amharic, meaning "water that smokes". It is situated on the upper course of the river, about 35 kilometers downstream from the town of Bahir Dar and Lake Tana. The falls are one of Ethiopia's best-known tourist attractions.

86% of the Nile water comes from this part of Ethiopia. Without this river, there would be no Egypt. No Egyptian civilization. No pyramids. Humans started civilization in this region. Scientific fact! You are seeing the river in its quite days. This river to this day is what Egypt depends on for drinking water and agriculture. Without this river Egypt is a dessert with nothing but sand. If you have a look at all cities in Egypt, they are built by the side of where this river runs. The rest of Egypt is Dessert sand. We Ethiopians have no intention of stopping this water for our Egyptian and Sudanese brothers. However, we have built the biggest dam in Africa only to generate power. 6,000mw of it. Huge! This power will light up the whole of East Africa. Even European countries are bidding to buy power from Ethiopia in the next year of two. No more the dark continent. Africa WILL have electricity in every home, including rural areas. We will no longer look when others eat. Africans, use your resources no matter what. Its sad to see my people living by the biggest river in the world, poor and destitute. It will change soon tho.
    Geopolitics
Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Yemen have never had peace and are in constant wars. REASONS:
1 - We are located at the most critical part of the world. What is called a choke point. 75% of the worlds ships from Asia and Australia have to pass through a small strip on the red sea via the swiss canal to Europe and America/South America. All internet cables connecting the world pass through that small strip. The west does not want us to have control of that. Without that route, there would be NO TRADE between asia and Europe! Google Babel mandab and educate yourself.
2 - Fresh water. The biggest commodity in the world. This river flows all the way to Israel. The arab nations don't have any fresh water. They do not want us to use our own rivers. How long can we live in AID while others get rich from our water?????????????? Wake up Africans!

A combination of Hydroelectric power and solar power would be ideal in Ethiopia and Africa. You have all that sun that shines all day. Fabricate your own solar panels and all the other gadgets needed to keep the system running. Create employment for your exploding young population. Reasonable agribusiness in the area. A toll road for people to access the area will pay for good roads in no time. Keep your people from looking and being so damn poor for no reason. Count your blessing and do something about them, or other races will replace you.
