What a great attitude you have! This is so refreshing to see, instead of the constant negativity loop some people seem to be stuck in, regardless of what they do or change.

I joined the party on S3 and really enjoyed my play through. Looking forward to the smoother ride in S4 and concentrating more on the advanced side of the game. Going to try a Necro run this time
Fantastic summary. Hyped for S4. Great video; thanks
S4 sounds amazing. I gonna try my first Sorcerer character in S4.
The only thing I wish they comfirmed was summon mat drops from Tormented Varshan and Greg. I still don't know if the tormented versions drop 1 egg and shard or more.
my barb right now has 2400% overpower damage, sounds like with Dominate nerf I can't get crazy numbers like that no more.
Looking forward to Season 4. Sounds like a lot of fun! Lots of crafting available to create that piece instead of farming endlessly for it! Necro has so many viable builds makes it so much better to create more than one build. You have really explored and explained why in your builds. Really enjoy and always learn a lot from your videos! THANK YOU!
You are the diablo 4 guru man! Already watched it yesterday but watching it again for your view, keep up the geeat work man. See you on day 1.
I do appriciate that mate!
Great review of the changes! On the buff to boot/jewelry implicits, I think this is because we won't be able to upgrade them anymore using the blacksmith, so it's probably just to put them to where they used to be after we upgraded
what do you think about that:in season pass will be sets armors for class is it good ?
Im so hyped!!! Cant wait to start necro minion build!!! Finally
Great video, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I think the PTR changes are terrific really excited to play!
Now I will finally have some motivation to play and grind Diablo
Hi, I think you might be misinterpreting the 85% armor cap. The tooltip reads that the damage reduction is from enemies of EQUAL level. I take this as if you are at level 100 fighting level 199 mobs you will NOT be at the 85% armor cap. It'll be interesting to see how hard mobs hit when they are 100+ and we have that 85% armor cap that diminishes with each mob level over 100.
No, he isn't. That is how it works currently which is what is changing. He is interpreting it the same way basically everyone else is. Macro and other people have videos on it as well.
Sir you clearly did not watch the campfire chat - This is HOW ARMOR WORKS NOW - It is the new normal - The old tooltip does not apply :)
@@blaynegreiner9365 Alrighty then. Thanks for the update.
@@P4wnyhof Ok thanks. I didn't realize that the screen shot was of the old system.
By the way I enjoyed your video.
I found my answer in the patch notes.
One idea for a video would be a guide with what to do at each level range, and after reaching 100. I have no idea whether I should farm helltides first then go for uber bosses, The Pit, Uber Lillith, what about crafting? You get the picture.
Nerfing overpower blows my mind. The strongest necro is not an overpower build so why the FUCK lol they just nerfed Banished lords talisman and tibaults will into the ground. Hate that shit , like let us be over powered bro. We still won’t compare to the barbs in term of damage so what gives
The same thing is happening to Bear Druids. It's because they don't know how to balance Barbs. It's like they don't understand that them having 4 weapons worth of stats and 3 extra active weapon aspects makes them strong(and now increases in power with tempering and mw'ing) but instead think it's the satellite items they use. Barbs are still going to be absurd in S4 but they effectively weaken 2 other classes and their alternative to meta builds. Add onto that the fact that they're leaning into an all offense stat model and you get D3 with a graphics update. Not a good thing imo.
It is because Barbs exist and they seem to be too lazy to properly nerf *only* Barbs. Instead Druids and Necros are getting caught in the crossfire and it is currently my biggest pain point going into the next season. I am honestly tired of them treating Necromancer like it is somehow more powerful than Sorc and Barbs and letting them have all the fun. It just so happens that the Barb and Sorc community have been whining since the game came out even though their classes have been the strongest. Rogues have also been consistently powerful but if something sneezes at you, you blow up, so at least there is a risk/reward factor. Basically Necromancer has only ever had Bone Spear be a legitimately really powerful build but Bone Spear just doesn't feel like Necromancer to me. It is thematically the most boring skill and playstyle.
Rly excited to jump back into the game. Looks like they’re listening.
I really enjoyed the base game and the season 2! I think I will LOVE the new update as well! So much new content!! It’s like I’m playing a new game!! Love it!
I never understood the hate for the game. I especially don’t get the hate for the update. The loot rework is phenomenal! I never thought they would give this to us for free lol
So true, people act like the devs didn't do anything because there's no temporary seasonal mechanic, when instead they spent the time to rebuild the entire game so it'll be good forever going forward
I want to be so excited for Season 4 but every time I get there, I remember how lazy they are being with the nerfs to Barbs. The fact that blood is getting caught in the crossfire is stupid. Blood Lance is already the most underperforming build but they couldn't be bothered to find a way to bring Barbs in line without gutting Necro? It's so unbelievably lazy and fucked.
Like why can't they balance Necro Glyph separately from the Barb one? The even crazier thing is that HotA will still be doing ridiculous numbers after these nerfs while Blood Lance is going to go straight in the trash.
of course im gonna play. I couldnt get into season 3 i didnt play it. but im holding out hope for this up coming so called season. make diablo great again😁
Season 4 will be vastly different to Season 3 for sure!
Curious if Ebonpiercers projectiles will carry blights actual lucky hit chance or if it is just totally removed
Probably the actual lucky hit chance! Will experiment as it drops
Thanks for the summary. Are we there yet? 😀
Have you heard anything about what parts of season 3 will be incorporated?
To those who have tried it on console and aren't sure about it, I'd say 'stick around'.
Bloodless Scream needs a huge rework
Jep that thing is fun but currently rather useless
@@P4wnyhof Sad part is it wouldn't take much to get it in good shape. Higher damage values and replace the essence generation with something decent. Like +X% lucky hit since builds that use Bloodless Scream are shadow DoT builds anyhow that could use more lucky hit chance.
The coolest thing is if you get perfect str gear on a barb you can hit over 9000 armor making you not need any armor rolls. That prob be impossible in the real server play so getting just 1 n getting cap is nice.
Do you think blood lance is still viable in season 4?? I just started building it and now I see the overpower thing
Nope ruined sry - So much power stolen!
@@P4wnyhof there must be a way!! NooOooOo
So, gearing sounds easier now. We will get BiS in like 1 month and then what? What do we do?
If you get everything in 1 month then you had 1 month of fun
Wait for mid season update or stop playing for the season/2nd character
So is there a reason to have higher than 9200 armour when in going against lvl 150 ?
Seems its the hard cap, you dont need more armor than that for anything.
Yes 9200 armor is the hard cap!
sounds good!
Hey bro i remember you from your hearthstone days !
Howdy
@@P4wnyhofhere for the Necro content as it was Necro or druid this season
I hope they end up keeping the mind cages permanently after season 4 too. As of right now they’re exclusive to the season.
Lot of system changes which is great, but what’s the actual content? What’s the draw to play through the same game again?
With all bosses having a chance to drop uber uniques, I wonder if spamming regular bosses would net you more chance for uber uniques over spending more mats for uber bosses..
Ngl, pretty hyped for this game to come out of beta. Really would have loved it if it had released already.. kinda want to play diablo but no way I'm playing 11 days before this releases
Fun Fact: Dominate Glyph nerf isn't with red text on Barb changes, only on Necro.
Bonus robbery 😭
@@P4wnyhof Same numbers though, maybe it was already nerfed in ptr and we didn't notice it. Red text maybe typo or they forgot to use it on Barb
Im so hypedddd
Let’s be honest most gamers want d4 to redeem itself , same as wow. It’s a stretch seeing they screwed d4 for almost a year now but hopefully s4 comes through and isn’t too easy either.
"Isn't too easy," brother, it will be unfortunately. They are leaning into a super streamlined, casual friendly game model. Challenge will be the lowest priority on the list moving forward for the near future.
Time will tell
on my barbarian, if i imprint my 2 rings with the same skill like: "damaging an enemy with a basic skill grants you 4% attack speed for 10 seconds", will it stack up and grant me 8% attack speed for 10 seconds?
if i imprint my two 2H weapons with the same skill "Charge calls forth 4 ancients who also charge", will the damage also stack up?
Wait we can imprint the same skills on different gear now ???
@@trevorbanks4136 yes u can but it will be greyed out, won't work
@@lfguyj so what are you trying to do here ?
so can someone explain how making an easy game even easier (even if its for the casuals) if good in the long run for challanges or fun? i dont get their mentality their.
more casual people play the game than blasters, and thats who they are focusing on for now (and might be that way for a while), it's not what i'd personally prefer, but it is preferable to them trying to appease both extremes, making something to catter to everyone makes something that appeals to no one,
@@broutefoin that makes scenes thanks, but isnt there a way to implement like at least 3-5 challanging things when making the whole games survivabilty a whole lot easier in general? like do that for the casuals but also do something for the blasters. i guess the pit is there but thats not really a good compansation in my opinion when litterally the whole game gets easier in comparison to one "endgame system". its like loosing 80% blaster fun to gain 20% in one endgame activity... idk not what i would have liked to hear, but thanks for pointing out what you pointed out.
i just dont get why they cant do something more each side when they do something for one side. same thing with solo vs group play, so something for solo players when you want group play to be way better and vise versa. thats my take.
cheers and much love to you
They said that survival is more difficult to get now, since you can most likely not find damage reduction on items anymore unless you are lucky. I fear for more one shot than before. And their armor rework do not help on that as they think it do. It only works for melee damage, so all other damage types can still hurt like a truck.
So i personal do not see the survival have been easy. I think it gets a lot harder than before.
And i will see how bad it gets in the pit. Where i suspect you will really suffer for the lag of defence.
I as a casual player did not get past nm dungeon 60 in the game before. So i think i will not be able to get much into the pit. Maybe i can get the first 4 upgrades, and that's it.
But i do not know before trying. So time will tell. I think blasters will have a better time in season 4 than casual players, which will suffer big time by the survival nerf yet again.
Exactly my thoughts. There will no longer be a need to fine tune your stats and balance out offense vs defense. It's just "full on offense" and go. That is not going to be fun past a couple of weeks. They really are just trying to make D4 into D3 with a graphics update, and that's not a good thing imo.
@johnpoulsen77 It's absolutely not more difficult. They said DR would be harder to come by, but with an armor cap that low and Res caps in paragon boards, it isn't necessary. That's not making survivability harder, it's the opposite.
where is season? there is no seasonal thing all changes are for core game.
There are seasonal tempering recipes and consumables. The thing that makes helltide harder and drop more stuff is seasonal
Season theme is Eternal Realm 1.0
Season 4: D3 Reborn
They should remove Overpowered attacks man... It's so weird, seriously. And add something like crushing blow from D2, that reduces enemy life by a flat % instead of millions like it is currently
sounds like this should be game in "out of the box'" state - not a season 4 theme
I'll give the game a chance again when you can alter the attack abilities. In D3 you could mod them to be completely different, making different builds that use the same attacks feel completely unique. You could completely change every attack ability. D4, you have to watch the same damn attack the entire game. It's so boring. No amount of extra loot can compensate for boring.
D3 was a trash game imo. Easiest game I’ve ever played. No fun at all
Not a fan of the new armor cap. D4 is just becoming D3 2.0, and that's not a good thing imo. If I wanted to play D3, I'd just do what I do now and load up D3. All offense gameplay isn't that fun and lacks staying power. No wonder they're basically getting rid of additional DR forms... Also as a Bear Druid main with a Blood Necro alt, the OP changes absolutely suck. Both are now going to be even weaker than they are now in comparison to the meta AND Barbs will still be absurd. Blizzard, come here real quick... C'mon, get a bit closer so you can hear me...
"BARBS HAVE 3 EXTRA WEAPONS AND ACTIVE ASPECTS!!! OP is only part of the reason they're broken. Stop ruining the game for everyone else and only allow the ACTIVE weapon stats and aspect to be used."
Armor cap removel is broadening build and temper variety! Its a net total plus
@@P4wnyhofSure, for a week or 2.
The player base here supposedly want the game to be easier despite the game already being dumb easy. It is a minority of the player based that want a genuine challenge.
@@OlyPhoenix86I get having outlets in the game that are casual friendly because it gives them something to do while not feeling like they're wasting their time. However, gearing the entire game toward brain-dead casual play style ends up creating a game for no one imo. Hardcores will be bored within 2 weeks and casuals will move onto the next hype train regardless of how much Blizzard caters to them. I just don't understand people not wanting to be challenged by their games. If low stress, low effort hobbies is their thing, maybe they should pick up painting or putting jigsaw puzzles together.
@@OlyPhoenix86 The minority and theorycrafters (whatever the fuck that is) can just go play their cute lil POE :)
Id like to thank CZcams for not giving me a notification for this video.
Good video like always. I want to like D4 and will obviously check out season since I own the game, but if I wanted to play D3 then I would install D3. Season 4 may as well be called D3: Rebirth.
I do not agree - D3 feels vastly different still :) End of the day as you mentioned: You own the game already nothing lost giving it a roll
Curious what you mean by this, I've played D3 for years and played D4 since launch they don't feel at all the same
@etrosknight2254 slowly turning into it each season. Power getting higher and higher every season. Bosses may as well not even be bosses since the normal is to end them in seconds. Now introducing the pit, which are essentially greater rifts. Giving each class legendaries that fit particular builds, like how D3 gave set rewards for season journey completion, promoted a particular build for each class. Changed the build each season. The only "seasonal" content for season 4 is the iron wolf quest and elixir. I don't count permanent changes of game as "seasonal" content.
@@BabyDahl28 well I can't deny that the Pit is just like GRs, and yeah the seasonal set thing is basically Haedrig's Gift, so yeah they are borrowing a few systems from D3. But the combat still feels way different, and the progression systems are much more complex than D3
I think the game is getting to be far far too easy.. I think most people will be done within a week or 2 now
And it's beginning to look a lot like D3
People where already done in 2 weeks :) So 2 weeks sounds good
Bingo
@@P4wnyhof sorry, should have made myself more clearer , I was talking about the the Mum/Dad with 17 kids - I think its far too quick to get to 100 - it took my bro who is very casual 6 weeks to get to 100 in LE - I think he'll be done within a week (at most) - the that is far too quick in my opinion for a casual player
@@MrHoopskiYep, way too much of a swing in the direction of "I have 4 jobs and 82 kids and can only play an hour a month." Such a shame because I felt s2 and s3 were a good balance between the blasters and the casuals. This is doing exactly what they originally said they were trying to avoid. Make the game D3 2.0.
they should have just added it to the border of the item, the item icon looks way too ugly
Finally we get the promised Season of the Zombie. Because D4 will finally resurrect and be fun to play again!
i wish build diversity balance was better in this game.
10 different necro builds and counting sounds pretty diverse to me :) Other classes might be lacking
poe great
The more I see of D4, S4... the less interest I have going back to it. The farming material system has to go for me to even think about returning. Not only is it filling limited space in the inventory... but it's also just lazy and boring way to gate players. And still Blizzard claims they want players to "dopamine bomb" when things drop... ye right after farming hours of none dopamine content ;)
This season is actually a patch, not a season per se.. Im not going to play it
So.
