Delightful, thank you for posting this. Exactly a year ago (May 2023 for those coming here in the far distant future) my daughter and I stayed in the Camping Coach at Blue Anchor station - recommended - for a week.
Great to sit in the coach having afternoon tea and waving as the steam trains rumble past.
Rode the line from Blue Anchor to Bishops Lydeard and back but never went into Minehead - obviously a mistake as my daughter would have spent hours at Readers Halt.
Shall have to come back for a second run!

Great video Mike it's nice to see the visiting locos and see them at work. I was away for your previous video but have seen it today as well as this one. Really great start to the spring gala. Thank you both.

They are a very appreciated facility, hopefully soon to be increased by two at Watchet.

I am glad the webcams are visible in Germany. There have been several reports recently that not all are visible outside the UK. How many can you see I wonder? There are two at Minehead, one at Blue Anchor, Williton, Crowcombe and Bishops Lydeard.

Another great video. Great way to spend an hour. I watched an earlier video of yours filming Concorde 's last run. Can you remember the date this was taken? Your videos are of the highest order.

    • @ADMIRALSCORNER

It's working fine as viewed in the UK. It is located at the signal box which is rather remote from the action at the platforms.

Jessie is a former Llangollen Railway resident engine, and wore Maroon livery. I've had a few rides in her cab in my lifetime. On one occasion, she was disguised as Thomas the Tank Engine. I was allowed to ride in her cab alongside platform 2. The Driver invited me to tug at the whistle chain.
"You make the engine sound like an A4," observed the Fireman. Jessie's chime whistle is like that of an A4, only the tone is a bit deeper in pitch.

I was surprised at such a grand sounding whistle in a small loco. I like it! Most whistles are not as impressive!

There was so much activity in this video- very enjoyable.
I thought that Jessie had a lot of black sooty smoke but they all use the same coal!
Can you explain why the lamps on the front of the train get moved? I noticed that on 2 engines? Thanks Mike!

Its a long established custom where a signalman can recognise just what the approaching train is, especially in the dark, from a light engine to an express.
