Note: Out of respect and courtesy for others, I refrain from naming spots unless it's a very popular spot. I don't mind others mentioning the spot it in the comments and I often leave enough evidence for those that want to find the spot, to be able to work it out from the video.
New videos every week!

Awesome video man! very enjoyable! Nice and local to me too 👌🏼
I didn’t seem to get a notification this time though. See how we go next week
Thanks Npg! Due to size of channel, my videos are only reaching a fraction of the viewerbase now... You'll have to always check to see the videos published and/or consistently be watching them to have the notificaiton come through. Thanks for checking it helps! 🙏🙏
@@ShroomFishingpenciled in 🗓, every Thursday afternoon. CZcams notification or not 🎣 🙌
@Johnny Kidmann Thanks again! 😎👍
Thanks Paul you legend for the amazing filming! If you guys like that too, hit the Like on the video! 👍
Great vid again! Shroom your a legend. Please keep making content it makes my day!
Thank you Jono! Your support keeps me going! 🙏
Great to see you catching fish at that location, Shroom! I’ve caught quite a few Tailor there lately too! They love to bust up near and under that bridge!
Likewise Hai! I need to get back down there. I've got some fond memories of that place. It's nice to hear the tailor are about, would be a fun session! 😁🙏
They are really turning it on this season. Great numbers comming back.
Thanks bro, not sure what happened to my reply. Yeah, seems like they are in every system now and much better season than last year. I hope you get more too! That was a ripper 👊
No crab
@@ichista 🤣🤣🤣....
YESSSS Kyeemagh!!! I live and breathe that rock wall!!! Nice to see you fishing there man! What a beautiful salmon!
Thanks Ibrahim!! That place gets me pumped up! 💪
Good to finally see you have a go at my locals. Rarely anything at the boat ramp when it comes to lures in winter and i fish there almost everyday. Summer was great there. Plenty flatties. That time it rained hard it was producing quality 25cm+ snapper constantly on lures which i did not expect considering i rarely catch bream on sps. Theres always amazing bust ups under the big ships which is why the other locals tend to launch bait as far as they can towards there. The entire walkway where you where casting from is one massive weedbed infront of it for about 3m out. You can see it when the waters clear and low which is why everyone fishes infront of where you can park your car. Hope you can come down more often and try your luck. Btw i was there when you where flicking at the bridge. Ngl really wanted to say hi to you and take an idol photo but you had your mask on, your shoes were different and rod and reel combo made me think twice coz they were different from your other videos lmao. Solid effort on the salmon aswell.
Thanks for the information Idrees! It's a great place with a lot on offer. Definitely come up and say hi if you think it's me. Just shout out next time. I'll definitely be back down there a little bit more often this season. 🙏🙏
Nice catch shroom!! awesome video and thanks for guiding us newbies how to flick a lure!
Thanks Alex! Glad you enjoyed it despite the blurring bit haha 👊😀
Great catch mate! I’m noticing the audio quality is really good on your recent videos, even in the wind. Whatever you’re doing, it’s working well!
Thank you for the feedback Alf! I'm always trying to improve and I'm glad your enjoying it! 👍
My Dad used to work over at CTAL there in the '80s. He used to bring home some stonking bream.
20 yrs ago I went on a holiday to Phuket. While shopping in the Lotus (like our Big W or KMart) I spied these cheap rod n reel combos. About $12 AU from memory. They were branded G Loomis lol. cheers.
Nice one Victor! I can't imagine how good the bream would have been back in those days. Probably all kinds of pelagics busting up there too. Haha, that is cool. Imagine that these days... I'll take 10 at that price 😁
@@ShroomFishing Lol yeah. If my Mrs hadn't have already stuffed my bags full with her crap, I woulda too. cheers.
I saw another video on the same spot. He was using a sugapen lure and was catching pike there. Great vid it’s great to mix it up a little1👍💪
Nice one Nicc! Maybe he found a school of them passing by 👊
Nice bycatch bro, some quality catches down there lately 🤙
Thanks bro, that place turns it on once in a while and it's always fun running up and down the wall when hooked up haha 👍
That’s a good fish! Keep up the great work.
I love to watch you fish its relaxing
Man I love catching Aussie salmon such a good fighting fish
It's so good Cripit, especially when there's a big school of them busting up in front of you! It didn't happen here but that's a sight to behold 😁
Paul legend! Great vid shrooms catch you on the water's edge soon bro!!
He sure is Jorre877! Thanks and yes, you'll find me soon for sure! Right where the fish are busting up hopefully haha 🙏
Big spenda with the stella 😏
Haha killer video Man 🤙
Thanks Rhys! The Stella comes out for special sessions when I need to rely on ultimate uncompromising performance! Thanks, I'm glad you like the finished product! 😀
God stuff . Love the tips at the end.. Will be trying this out next week
Thanks Michael! I hope you get a salmon of your own this weekend! 😎👍
Nice video mate, good energy on this one 👍
Thanks FIGJAM! Pumped! 👊
Nice catch
Brooo that combo's gotta be a blast to use lmao
Sure is LIMSGYM! It's not necessary to use such a combo as I'd be happy using a cheap one! Pros and cons 👍
Wow that salmon fought hard great by Catch
Thanks Ahmad, it sure got me into a situation haha! 😎
Solid vid bro i love the reel is that the 2500 stella fi very reliable reels i will never look back, great vid nice edit
I noticed you didnt put your set up in the des, unless i missed it
@BLADEZ - I BANK KNIVES I missed it Bladez. I've updated it but here is the rod and reel details: Rod - G Loomis NRX 852S 6-12lb 7'1", Reel - Shimano Stella 2014 FI 2500. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Tip always carry your gear encourages to travel light but you have what you want on hand.I used to have to work with people that could not carry their gear on a fire ground so we be looking for the gear of someone else. Sometimes 60kg no water I had 5 lof water tools first aid sometimes food..
Wow that's a lot of gear, I'd probably crumble into a pile first 10 metres away from the vehicle haha. No, I carry all my filming equipment (second backpack) so I'm carrying a lot more than I need to fish with if that makes sense. Thanks for advice however, I probably will have to cut down on some items to reduce a bit more weight 👍
That drag, best feels
Yep that's true Zee! I have no fear locking up on a reel like that! 😍
@@ShroomFishing it must have been one hell of a fight 😜 love them when they run 😂
@Zee_fitness1 The best feeling when the reel is singing Zee! 😎
The old nuclear chicken didn’t work this time, great video none the less 👍
Hookset, I assume the flatties just weren't there! I still have good faith in them haha. Thanks! 😜
Great session champion
Thanks Anthony 👊👊
Low tide take oysters .Dry in sun or grill fish the run in at night no lead happy days..Tight Arse fishing for success
I'll have to try that one day
Do you fish here often? I'm here couple nights a week for a quick flick. Would love to see the master at work! :P
The first spot that is.
Sometimes Americanos91, it's a nice deep spot a lot of good fish to be caught there
great video shroom!
Thanks NOVO! 😎
Hey man you rekon it’s possible to have a good land based session in the harbour tomorrow because it’s abit cold but the tides good
Yes, it's probably the best conditions all week. Plenty of salmon schools up in the harbour at the moment and kings too
Love the intro great content
Thanks, always trying something new! 👍
Love your intro 😎
That's how we roll! 👊
Nice work.
Thanks Hilton 👊
Great session man keep it coming, also can you recommend a ultralight reel for around $150 or less if you don’t mind
Thanks, look into the Shimano Ultegra 1000FB $160 (200g),Daiwa Exceller LT 2000D $160 (light reel 185g) or 21 Legalis LT 2000D $126 (light 185g)
@@ShroomFishing thanks so much man I appreciate it
They go hard them salmons if you can’t catch a kingy salmons are also fun
That's so true Petoz! It's not as nerve racking too so I can experiment a bit in how to fight it. Btw... kingy video coming up soon but no one told you that! 👀🏆
@@ShroomFishing 👀👀👀
Awesome video bro
Thanks Zee! Always good to get the blood pumping. Hope you have been well. Have you been able to get out for a flick? 😜
@@ShroomFishing best feeling, unfortunately haven't been fishing for 2 weeks. I came down with influenza 2 weeks ago; at first i thought it was covid but it came back negative so just a common cold. But all well now.
I'm heading right now to George river
Is it this near brighton Le sands or on the opposite side of the beach??
Great Vid
Thank you Christopher!! 😍
Shroom would the fish be able to see this transparent lure underwater and what colours of this lure do you recommend?Cas clear?
Yes, it's far from invisible. Greens, clears and browns
blue marlin at meadowbank wharf
I'll have to bring the heavy artillery Jesse! 👀😂
Shroom what you think is better for lures daiwa td hyper or shimano raider? Wanna get into sps without breaking the bank. Love the videos!!!
Christos, both are great rods. The Shimano Raider is a long-standing proven rod that is very robust with a forgiving action whilst the Daiwa TD Hyper is a crisp and fast-actioned rod. The Shimano suits entry-level lure anglers well that are still adapting to carbon rods whilst the Daiwa is more sensitive but a bit more fragile.
@@ShroomFishing thanks for the help brother!
Damn my dream combo
Mine too Fish Killer! Funny name that one too, because I've been called a 'fish killer' too (see my viral video haha). 😅 You have great taste in gear! 😍👊
@@ShroomFishing thx
Rubbing your finger on a flattys belly after it spikes you? Im curious, never heard of that!
Haha, I usually forget to rub my wound on it. So the flathead toxin contains an anti-coagulant which is why even a small incision in the skin results in profuse bleeding. The slime on the belly of a flathead helps to stop the bleeding. It seems to work rather well!
What color flesh do you believe Salmon to have.????
A bit of red and pink
Far out man I was there and my lures were just getting muched
Wow... most likely by hordes of chopper tailor Nd Jeu! Maybe some predators below them 👍
That salmon looks good, you should have ate it. I would have. Sure fought a lot.
They fight hard Ron. Pretty average tablefare imo but some people like them. They are nothing like Atlantic Salmon which is a top eating fish
Get over the other side near silver beach
Great idea Adam! Haven't been there in ages. Last time I was there, saw plenty of whiting along the flats 👍
Whats your favorite reel to fish with, exist or stella?
Myung, I prefer Stella for medium and heavier and Exist for light finesse fishing 😎
Hi shroom, what do you use to edit your videos?
Hey I use Sony Vegas and Davinci
Heloo
Azremy, first! 🏆
This doesn’t make any sense he has 60k subs 4K views but 211 likes? Did everyone just not enjoy this?
Thanks Terrance. I think they would but just need to click on it
