- I know without a doubt that my testimony of giving tithes is rooted in living a life of generosity! Tithing is a spiritual discipline that my parents taught me from a very young age. I remember the sense of ownership I felt as a kid when the offering basket came around I was able to drop my change in it. (Yes, I said change haha!) Growing up, my family struggled financially. But my parents were always faithful in their giving. I was able to witness firsthand, God provide for my family in ways people wouldn't believe.
In this video, I share my testimony of giving tithes and how it has changed my life. I talk about how we as Christians benefit when we are generous to othersand 3 truths from 2 Corinthians 9:6-13; that I hope will motivate and inspire you!
Being a generous giver through tithes and offerings can surely change your life! I know for certain it's changed mine. Be encouraged!

I'm so Inspired by this. I started tithing a year ago when I got my first job out of college and I can tell you right now my cup has never run dry. Even when a crises comes and I don't know how I'm going to survive financially God always makes a way. I am so grateful.💞

I was being tight with money and stopped tithing. The well ran dry. My bills surpassed my expenses every paycheck. The morning I decided to tithe 10% which was $300 only a few hours later the following amounts were deposited into my checking account. $3,100, $5,900, $1,500. I was then able to pay everything and a few months in advance. This happened last Wednesday.
Continue to honor God with your giving and seek His Kingdom first! By doing this, you will always have what you need!

I tithed consistently for about a year and also gave big offerings. God definitely gave me ideas for profitable investments during that time which exceeded 6 figures.
I stopped tithing as consistently and the well dried up for investments and it seemed I was always spending more than I was making.
I am going back to tithing consistently and praying for endurance to keep at it. God’s work definitely deserves givers and he’s shown me that.

I stopped tithing some years back and i have struggled so much, now despite how heavily leveraged i am i am restarting my tithing because as i cried out to God this morning, a voice said to me, 'tithe for your promotion' and as i realized that was the holy spirit showing me my solution i have rededicated my 10% to God immediately. I know i will be back to testify.

I was in your situation before even for 5 years being unemployed because of an injury. I give 10% even I work one or two hours of part time. Now very miraculously God gave me a job one year ago, though not an easy job but I can pay my rent, my debt and also I can spend on those who are in needs. With God, all things are possible.
Being a faithful tither is a blessing on its own. Keep on tithing and you will see the results, believe me.

the is always fruits however we always want to see financial fruits, sometimes the fruits of giving comes in different forms, it can be mental or good health, peace of mind and protection over your family. sometimes you dont have lots of money but you never run out of food that is God working too

Tithing is new to me, I started today, Jesus is also asking me to do 20% of everything I receive, for all the life years I didn't do it, I am going to be 47 this year, so He made me calculated 47 X 12 months = 563 months I must pay 20% on everything. Something that is not of my income but of other people's income, I must pay 10% on.

Praise God, thank you for your encouraging today. I love giving tithes and offering to church. I am in a mental transition where I feel like I should be giving the tithe/offering to the poor in my community or just the people in need. (I do give to the poor, it’s just the 10% I wonder if that should be given to the poor which is lending directly to Gods people).

Surprisingly I started to tithe again and for I was able to cover every bill on time.. (I get paid this month the week after everything taken from my direct account.) I kept good tips (from Uber eats) and there was a 20 dollar bill in an empty laundry mat for me

U speaking big facts sista , God been telling me a lot bout tithing more . Cause I ususally only do it when I hit big amounts but God like even with small amounts , this just extra confirmation . It’s all bout the motive and most so called Christian’s motives be false motives so they don’t get nun, but if give unto Lord sincere heart it alwyas come back cause we can’t out give God it impossible but most people hearts ain’t really sincere like yours mines and few others in Body sadly

It is technically impossible to give a biblical tithe today. We can only give freewill offerings to local churches, widows, orphas and the poor, NOT a tithe.
Remember the tithe was an inheritance of the tribe of Levi since they did not receive a portion of the land and had other duties to perform. “Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting" (Numbers 18:21).
•So when was this inheritance transferred to your local church pastor?
•When did the tithe stop being a means of supporting the Levites?
•And are modern pastors from the tribe of Levi?
And remember a tithe was NEVER money it was animals and agricultural harvests. (But that doesn't mean there was no money those days)
•A freewill offering can be anything (services, clothing, money etc.) and we can give to anyone in need.

Can we give the tithes to the poor or people in needs???
I believe we are supposed to give our tithes to the church, but our offering (which is anything additional we want to give) can be given to whomever we please. I also want to add that healthy churches continually help those in their community who are in need by supporting local missions and organizations/charities. So even though my tithe doesn't go directly to a person or group, I know that my church is making a difference collectively by giving a portion of the funds. I hope this helps!
I think it's interesting how today's version of "tithing" has no biblical precedent. There's nothing wrong with giving systematically if one chooses to do so but biblical, systematic (required) tithes were compulsory submissions of consumable items specifically purposed under Mosaic Law, which is now obsolete.
We tithe faithfully back in 90’s and needed a new car. We paid tithes before bills and got behind on notes and lost the car. We lived in a 10’x55’ trailer and had junky old car so we wasn’t rich and splurging the money away to lose that car. We lived paycheck to paycheck. Church should of helped us, not us helping church.
My family went through the same thinggg in the 90's too!! Not a single person smh. But I'm so glad God isn't like us!

We must help the poor as the Lord commanded us to hear are Bible verses Proverbs 28:27, Proverbs 21:13, Proverbs 19:17
We have too many false pastors, bishops etc who never teach this but want people to give and tithe for their lustful, Sinful, and luxurious lifestyle.

Yep I just spoke about this recently. It's important to attend healthy churches that have integrity and that are ethical. They should be supporting other local ministries as well and invest in the community.

That's a good question! It's totally up to you. I think most people tithe according to their pay schedule. My husband and I tithe monthly but for years, I would tithe bi-weekly. I hope this helps!

Paying thithes every week it would a religious ritual not as a Christian we are free from being religious traditions. So we have to give GOd in order for God to provide ?? this is like the worlds way we pay for a service, we have to pay in order to get something, so it would be the same for GOd?? we have to pay to God first so God can love us and provide our needs? this is my question to you .
I give to God because that's one of many ways I like to worship Him. I give to others and help those in need because I love God and it pleases His heart. I give out of personal choice because love is a choice and I want God to know how much I love Him. I give to God because He's been good to me and I can never repay Him for what Jesus has done for me. I give to God because money does not have a hold on me nor does it satisfy me like Jesus does. I don't know what you've been experiencing or what your hangups are, but I stand firm on the freedom that Christ has provided me! I believe that when I seek His Kingdom above all else, He is faithful to provide for my every need. I'm not concerned about what other Christians are doing. I'm concerned about the Gospel and making Jesus known!
Did you know that, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God? It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider.
(1) There is no scripture where a pastor may ever require or receive tithes, from anyone.
(2) There is no scripture where anyone other than a Levite may ever receive tithes.
(3) There is no scripture in the bible that requires a Gentile to tithe.

God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21-23). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever serve in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites.
-- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple.
-- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, and the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!). To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures. Hey Wayne! Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure if you were able to watch the video or not, but I actually didn't discuss tithing much in detail. The word "tithe" is obviously used in my title and thumbnail, but I wanted explain what it was in connection with the Levitical priesthood. It's a word that Christians are familiar with and can use interchangeably from time to time.
I'm familiar with the information you shared here. However, I understand that different Christians hold different positions when it comes to tithes and offerings, and I'm not here to change anyone's mind or position. My goal here is to share how my testimony of giving and generosity has blessed my life. I don't give out of obligation or so that I can receive something. Rather, I give because I love God and I love people. It's that simple for me.

The points I raised about tithing (specificially, New Testament tithing) was to shine light on a topic that has been wrapped in deception since it was inflcted upon the church about 1500 years ago. "Tithe" is a word that has bound billions of people for centuries. As it is used, it is inconsistent with every scripture that the Bible teaches about what it is, and what it is meant for. Amber, words have meaning. The word "tithe" has a meaning that is unlike "giving" or "offering." It may be used interchangeably with giving, but it does not seamlessly translate as such. For example, we associate a curse with not tithing because that is the whip that has been used to force us to unscripturally tithe (Malachi 3:9). No such baggage comes with the word "offering" or "giving" (see Luke 6:38). I know that you meant no confusion, but those connotations are a part of the message that is inseparably associated with the word "tithe." If you didn't mean "tithe," which has a specific meaning that we commonly understand, why not just speak of giving, or offerings, and leave it at that? Why tithe? In any case, I speak blessings on your ministry and your growth in the Lord. Keep being as generous as you are. You are a light and I wish that you continue to shine throught the world. Is tithing for real or i sthis hoax? What if your not in a local church how do you tithe then? What if you give too much and dont have enough for yourself?!
Those are good questions! I'm not sure how people who don't attend church give. Giving 10% and living off the remaining 90% is a good starting point though unless the Lord shows you otherwise.
