My best friend is undergoing a stem cell transplant this week....................this is a good introduction......
I had relapse. One of the options given to me is chemo + stem cell transplant which was the ideal treatment for me. Unfortunately stem cell transplant is so expensive that's why I opted for the other option which is chemo alone. I'll start next week. Praying for good result.
my prayers
Relapse? Meaning you were treated before? I heard if you do chemo without transplant, there is like a 70% chance of relapse to happen.
You will get well soon
I have relapsed Hodgkin and i am undergoing chemo and then ABMT, i would suggest you to visit india on visa as my total expenses would be 25,00,000.00 INR i.e. 30-35 grands only.. which includes 6 months accommodation too.. you need to add airfare only.. and you will be treated in best hospital in the country that is zydus hospital, Ahmedabad, gujrat. But first of all i think this time chemo will do the work and i hope you will not to suffer anymore.. best wishes..
I hope the treatment went well for you! But its insane that you need to make this decision due to insurance, i cant imagine having to make that choice…
Thanks ....
The 18 weeks of 6 sessions of chemo alone cost about $500,000. Transplant, I don’t know, but I am guessing another $500,000 because you need to be hospitalized for a whole week after transplant $10,000 a day per night at the hospital), then like a whole month of daily follow up visit.
So expect $1mil expense without insurance.

these treatments are not made for commoners but for elite class. everything is a business now a days, even the precious human lives
Not if your country has a great healthcare system. I could get this treatment for free (ofc i pay for the healthcare, but i wouldn’t need 1 million euro a year). Idk why Americans don’t just look over sea’s and see how is can be done!
