When the puck is on one side, the defensive person on the far side is responsible for backdoor (think hyman) but they also meed to help their d partner if they go behind the net or if someone parks in front of the net. I know it’s unlikely, but we do have the assets and cap room to do it and Oilers will have to make some moves to resign him. He’s the 2nd best player in world and arguably as good as the first. I’d take him over Matthews, Mackinnon and Kucherov who are all elite in their own right.

Look at it this way, they played with the lead for 50 minutes that makes the other team open up and take chances in the last 10 they got two flukes, oilers goals were hard fought and beat the goalie each time.
