what if hackers were called freakers and they touched phones in freaky ways
What if malware was called freakware and did freaky things to your computer instead of infecting it or whatever?
gooning to this
What if speakers were called freakers and only played freaking
Because that would mean freaks would need to be called hackers and then the saying would have to become "lady in the streets and a hacker in the sheets" which is nowhere near as catchy
And doing freaky things to computers will result to a criminal charge?
Disrupt posting is like finding $100 in your pocket.

The irony of steve jobs starting out working with hackers to circumvent fees to apple now being THE home of money sucking is crazy
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself suck your customers dry
New management, steve would’ve been on to bigger things than current apple

I love that the old style of Disrupt is coming back, but I really miss the Adult-Swim-esque bumps in between the stories. It really made the channel feel like a forbidden TV channel from the early 2000s.
Very true
Yeah, 100% agreed! Please bring back those skits @Disrupt
its expensive and they dont do as well as they did before, i’m guessing it’s a smaller team too
This is the old school disrupt, multiple random stories sandwiched together... enjoyed it.
Yes
im so happy that disrupt is back to making this style of video
Yea totally agree
Watching a 2 minute old Disrupt video on a plane. Doesn’t get better then that
:3 I'm bout to bom-
Where are ya going?

Breathing in everyones farts
Disrupts the planes signals and crashes into another plane on takeoff😮
Disrupt's upload schedule is like that one abusive uncle. He does it once in a while and then acts like nothing happened.
and then he does it while you're sleeping
In’t it a company?
My dad would talk about this. And also Is a hacker. When direct TV satellite TV came out he hacked those cards and sold them
We always had every channel and all the paid movies. Freaking awesome
I even remember he put windows on his TomTom (old GPS stand alone system.) Lol said windows u.i. was way easier to use. I just laugh
Phreaking awesome* :D
That’s sick actually 😮

Schopenhauer once said “Life swings like a pendulum backward and forward between waiting a Disrupt and a Lemmino video”
THIS.
love the content, its a shame there is such heavy use of AI art- especially when you compare it to the previously human-made works which elevated the story telling, and showed a hell of a lot more love
Yup... Disrupt made the most beautiful and snappy visuals, this vid is already mushy AI slop, and I'm just in the first 30 seconds.
Edit: damn, at least the rest of the video was fine. The beginning completely killed the vibe.
@@woodendoors7 yeah after the beginning its okay, but what a fucking let down :-((
exactly, it's disappointing :(
The art looks great. Why are artists always crying about AI stealing their jobs while saying AI art sucks? Doesn't make sense. Stop being so salty. AI can't draw what's in your head so human artists are still valuable.
@@saadahmed688 mate are you dense? ai art is trained off of real people and is already taking away opportunities; use this video as an example- a real human being could have been employed and created work for this video, however that simply isn't the case and they've instead used AI work which is just worse.
I'm pretty sure the intro is AI(If not im sorry) but seeing this from a channel that I used to be so fond of is quite upsetting, you are probably able to fund some sort of artist(again, sorry if not) and if not then use some other form of media.
Looks like the rest is human-made, so now i just wonder why they couldnt do that for the intro. IMO the intro being AI-generated brings down the rest of the video quality
1:16 what is going on with those fingers. is this ai generated?
Yeah, sadly. You can tell it's AI within 10 seconds of video with how shit it looks. Unconfident details and shapes melting in and out of existence in blurry, senseless motion. A far cry from the original aesthetic
@@TheMechanicalHermit came to the same conclusions shortly after posting that, I doubled back and sure enough, the entire moon sequence is AI, and the surface is just mush non stop.
Yes, the moon part of this video is AI generated. Really disappointing
AI art is good for productivity, product quality, and the consumer. Artists who can be replaced by it aren’t real artists anyways.
@@ABC-vv4cm maybe when an image generator can give consistent quality and isn't trained on copyrighted data without consent. right now the results are bad and the legality is grey at best.
What if instead of "phreaking" it would be called "freaking" and instead of hacking phones they would just suck each other off?

Man, their level of storytelling is simply unmatched. Please do more space content. Chronological exploration of the Apollo program would be absolutely unreal from you guys.
Disrupt was one of my top 3 favorite channels when it was still seriously pumping out amazing content, the whole situation that went down sucked, but I’m am SO glad the vids are back.
"Back then, every computer had its own phone number." ... Ehhhh, most computers around that time were barely connected to the power grid, let alone the PSTN.
This felt like an opening to a high budget 2h long documentary about apple.
What did the emergency broadcast have to do with this? Was it called in by a phreaker, or did i miss something?
A DISRUPT VIDEO ON PHREAKING I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT BUT LETSS GOOO

AI :( I think the quality is awesome for alot of the video but the AI use in the beginning leaves a bad taste

Jordan, the voice and writer of this video and original co-owner of the channel; and it's been one and a half years.
The one who didn't take ayahusca in Peru. Simultaneously losing their damn mind, encountering a "demon" made of cacti and becoming a "born again" religious type during the trip.
Alot of people like to act like taking psychedelic drugs is all sunshine and rainbows. My younger self included, never really thinking about the fact that some people enter psychosis during the trip and never return.

I remember having to find a payphone that had a hole in the very center of the mouth piece (not every handset had that center hole) and if you put a paperclip in that hole and then held the handset close enough to the metal change box where the key hole was to take out the money and you touched the other end of the paperclip to that keyhole (so one end of paperclip in center hole of mouthpiece and other end of paperclip in the keyhole of change box) you could make free phone calls in the 80s and 90s. I was a "freelance pharmacist" in 80s and 90s and my pager would go off nonstop so I was using the payphone MANY times a day. Fk carrying a pocket full of change. I just carried a paperclip. It worked!! FREE CALLS!!!
